How to Unlock Pyroclast Scatter in MW4

Scatter is a later reward in the same weapon-specific Pyroclast progression. The sequence moves from ordinary weapon leveling through the initial reset and into Weapon Prestige Master:

1. Level your chosen weapon to its maximum level.
2. Enter Weapon Prestige, resetting its weapon level and ordinary attachments.
3. Earn the opening Pyroclast camo.
4. Continue leveling through Pyroclast Terminus, the official name for the second variant also referred to as Verge.
5. Advance into Weapon Prestige Master and continue earning Weapon XP toward Scatter.

The transition into Weapon Prestige Master happens automatically after the first Prestige leveling phase is completed. Unlike the earlier entry into Weapon Prestige, this transition does not send the weapon back to its starting level or relock its earned attachments.

Pyroclast Scatter Requirement

Scatter is earned during Weapon Prestige Master, after the opening Pyroclast camo and Pyroclast Terminus. Continue leveling the same weapon in the Master phase to reach this third appearance.

Scatter is not tied to Classic or Regular player Prestige and is not part of the Military, Special, Completionist or mode-specific Mastery chains. It follows the weapon’s own Prestige journey.

Weapon customization already earned remains unlocked. Moving into Weapon Prestige Master also preserves the weapon’s levels and attachments instead of triggering a second reset.

How Long From Verge to Scatter?

After Terminus, the weapon enters Weapon Prestige Master. Its levels keep advancing, with no additional weapon-level or attachment reset, and Scatter is a later reward in that same progression.

The remaining distance depends on the Weapon XP earned with that weapon. Player Prestige rank and Multiplayer mastery challenges do not advance Scatter in place of Weapon Prestige Master.

You can keep using attachments regained during the first Weapon Prestige phase while progressing toward Scatter.

Scatter is the third of four named appearances of the evolving Pyroclast camo. Next is Pyroclast Cascade, the final Weapon Prestige variant.

Continue earning Weapon XP on the same weapon through Weapon Prestige Master. Double Weapon XP Tokens help with leveling when available. Classic and Regular player Prestige choices do not affect this camo ladder.
