Kingdom Hearts Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Kingdom Hearts Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 0: Identify your version and plan three trophies
Confirm whether you have the PS4 HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX or the PS3 1.5 HD ReMIX. On PS4 difficulty trophies stack, on PS3 they do not.
On PS4, start on Proud and you will earn all three difficulty trophies at the end of that one run. On PS3, budget three playthroughs.
Decide now how you are getting Speedster, Undefeated and Unchanging Armor, because they interact and all three constrain how you play.
At character creation, pick the first dialogue answers for faster levelling on this run. Save the third answers for the run where you grind Level 100.
Phase 1: The Proud run, PS4
Play through on Proud. This awards Proud Player, Final Mix Master and the Beginner tier trophy together on PS4.
Do not chase collectibles here. Treat this as a focused run and leave the completion work for later.
If you are combining Speedster into this run, keep the 15 hour limit in view. Defeating the World of Chaos in the End of the World is the checkpoint that matters.
Undefeated means never using a continue, so reload rather than continue if you die.
Unchanging Armor means never changing your starting equipment, which is easier to hold on a lower difficulty than on Proud.
Phase 2: PS3 only, the two extra difficulty runs
Skip this phase entirely on PS4. It exists only because PS3 difficulty trophies do not stack.
Play the remaining two difficulties separately, Beginner and Final Mix normal, to collect the other two difficulty trophies.
This is where the three run-condition trophies are usually placed on PS3, since Beginner makes Unchanging Armor and Undefeated much easier.
Phase 3: The completion run and the grinds
Start a run using the third dialogue answers at character creation, which levels Sora fastest at high levels for Level Master.
Grind Sora to Level 100. This is the longest single requirement on the list.
Synthesise every item and collect all Jiminy's Journal entries, which together pull in most of the remaining collection work.
Obtain the gummi ship blueprints. On PS4 you need 30 rather than all of them, which is a meaningful reduction.
This is where a 25 hour game becomes a 55 hour platinum. One soft mention of DamnModz fits here, then back to grinding routes.
Phase 4: Sephiroth and the coliseum
Defeat Sephiroth in the Platinum Match at Olympus Coliseum for One-Winged Angel. This is the skill ceiling of the platinum.
Win the remaining coliseum tournaments.
The platinum, Kingdom Hearts Master, lands on the final trophy.
If you want the other three platinums in the collection, Chain of Memories, KH II Final Mix and Birth by Sleep each have their own separate list and their own roadmap.
Guide notes
PS4 or PS3, This Changes Everything
First section after the Quick Info box. Difficulty trophies do not stack on the PS3 1.5 HD ReMIX, so that version needs three separate playthroughs, one per difficulty. They do stack on the PS4 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, so a single Proud run awards all three. The leading guide is written for PS3 and its roadmap includes a stage PS4 players should skip. This is worth roughly 30 hours.
Guide notes
Four Platinums in One Collection
The PS4 HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX contains four separate platinums, for KH Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, KH II Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix.
Guide notes
Plan Speedster, Undefeated and Unchanging Armor Together
These three interact and all three have to be decided before you start. Speedster requires defeating the World of Chaos within 15 hours, Undefeated requires never using a continue, and Unchanging Armor requires never changing your starting equipment. There is an easy and a hard route to Speedster and the choice affects the other two.
Efficient route
Character Creation Is a Trophy Decision
The weapon you choose and give up at the start affects stat growth, and the dialogue answers affect levelling speed. Pick the first answers on your Proud or Final Mix run to level faster, and the third answers on the completion run where you are grinding Sora to Level 100.
PS4 vs PS3 Differences Table
Difficulty stacking and the Gummi Ship Collector reduction from all blueprints to 30.
Efficient route
The Endgame Grinds
, an H3 each. Sora to Level 100, synthesise every item, collect all Jiminy's Journal entries, obtain the gummi ship blueprints, defeat Sephiroth in the Platinum Match at Olympus Coliseum, and the Coliseum tournaments. This block is most of the 50 hours.
Which Kingdom Hearts Is This
Chain of Memories, KH II Final Mix and Birth by Sleep are separate lists inside the same collection, and Kingdom Hearts III is a separate game entirely with its own 100 monthly searches, which makes it a separate build.

Guide notes
Kingdom Hearts Missable, Glitched, and Difficulty Notes
- Three trophies are effectively missable because they are run conditions rather than tasks. Speedster requires defeating the World of Chaos within 15 hours, Undefeated requires never using a continue, and Unchanging Armor requires never changing your starting equipment.
- All three have to be planned before you start, and they interact. There is an easy and a hard route to Speedster, and the choice affects whether you can also hold Unchanging Armor and Undefeated on the same run.
- Difficulty does affect trophies. On PS4 they stack, so clearing Proud awards the lower tiers too. On PS3 they do not stack, so three separate playthroughs are required.
- Character creation choices are a trophy decision. The weapon you choose and give up affects stat growth, and the dialogue answers affect levelling speed, which matters hours later for Level Master.
- On the PS4 collection, Gummi Ship Collector needs 30 blueprints rather than all of them. Guides written for PS3 state the harder requirement.
- There are no online trophies.
- The collection contains four separate platinums. None of them count toward each other.
Quick answers
Frequently Asked Questions
How many playthroughs do you need for the Kingdom Hearts platinum?
One on PS4 if you start on Proud, because difficulty trophies stack there. Three on the PS3 version, since they do not stack and each difficulty needs its own run.
How long does it take to platinum Kingdom Hearts Final Mix?
Around 50 to 60 hours on PS4. Considerably longer on PS3 because of the two extra difficulty playthroughs.
How many platinums are in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX?
Four. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix each have their own separate platinum.
Do difficulty trophies stack in Kingdom Hearts?
On the PS4 HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX yes, so clearing Proud awards all three. On the PS3 1.5 HD ReMIX they do not, which is why older guides tell you to play three times.
Which Kingdom Hearts trophies are missable?
Three run conditions. Speedster for beating the World of Chaos within 15 hours, Undefeated for never using a continue, and Unchanging Armor for never changing your starting equipment. Plan all three before you start.
Do the character creation choices matter for trophies?
Yes. The weapon you choose and give up affects stat growth, and the dialogue answers affect levelling speed. Pick the first answers on your story run and the third answers on the run where you grind Sora to Level 100.
How many gummi ship blueprints do you need?
30 on the PS4 collection, which was reduced from all of them. Guides written for the PS3 release still list the harder requirement.
Is this the same as Kingdom Hearts 3?
No. Kingdom Hearts III is a separate game with its own trophy list. This page covers Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, the first game, as included in the HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX collection.
DamnModz supports PlayStation games with Platinum trophies. Choose the game and tell us what remains on your list.
