Phase 1: Complete the Story and Take Easy Opportunities
Play the campaign on any difficulty. The story milestones begin in Sequence 2 and continue through Sequence 12. Complete nearby synchronization points and activities as you travel, but do not interrupt the story for a full region sweep.
Take simple situational trophies when a clean setup appears. Kill a guard who is ringing a bell for Silence, Fool!, use a wall takedown for Backs To The Wall, and work on rope-dart, pistol, smoke-bomb, parry, animal, food, and crafting requirements. If a setup becomes awkward, leave it for the final phase.
Phase 2: Clear Locations, Great Inagua, and Collectibles
Move through the map one location at a time. Complete every activity in one location early for Owned, then continue toward Cartographer. Capture every fort, finish a complete Templar Hunt sequence, restore a map from map pieces, open smuggler and shipwreck chests, and win every tavern-game type.
Return to Great Inagua whenever new restoration or display options unlock. Finish the village buildings, character portraits, Art Collection, and Equipment displays. Recruit every Officer along the way. A location-by-location checklist is safer than relying on the world map alone.
Phase 3: Upgrade the Jackdaw and Finish Naval Challenges
Spend naval resources on the Jackdaw throughout the game instead of saving every upgrade for the end. Fully upgrade the ship for Ship This, unlock a secondary firing mode, fill every vanity slot, and learn a shanty.
Build Kenway's fleet with every required ship class, board a Lead Convoy ship, defeat a Pirate Hunter at maximum Wanted Level, survive a rogue wave from the side, perform three perfect braces, and dash ram a ramming Brig. Finish with all legendary ships for Devil of the Caribbean.
Phase 4: Combat, Hunting, and Exploration Cleanup
Use controlled enemy groups for the remaining combat trophies. Caught 'Em All, Gun-kata, Let Me Explain, and Overdesign IV are easier when attempted separately rather than combined.
Finish the Wild Pig, Great White Shark, and Ocelot requirements. Then visit all seven friendly animals, break 50 potted plants, consume 20 food items, swim 1000 meters underwater outside shipwrecks, reach the lowest point on the map, and clear the hidden Long Bay shooting requirement. Once all 49 other trophies are unlocked, Prizes, Plunder, and Adventure! awards the Platinum.
How Hard Is the Black Flag Resynced Platinum?
The early estimate is 4/10 difficulty. There is no required difficulty setting, no multiplayer grind, and no second-playthrough trophy. Most of the work comes from broad completion rather than punishing execution.
The demanding parts are naval preparation and tracking. Defeating all legendary ships requires a well-upgraded Jackdaw, while Cartographer, Ship This, and the Great Inagua trophies reward systematic resource and location cleanup.
