Diablo 2: Resurrected Trophy Guide and Platinum Walkthrough

This Diablo 2 Resurrected trophy guide covers a 9/10 Platinum that takes hundreds of hours, requires all seven original classes to clear Hell, and ends with a Level 99 Hardcore character.

Updated July 2026

Quick Info

Platinum Name Diablo II Platinum Trophy on PS5, Thief. Warrior. Gladiator. King. on PS4
Platinum Difficulty 9/10
Time to Platinum 300-500+ hours, with first-time routes often taking longer
Trophies 44 total: 31 Bronze, 9 Silver, 3 Gold, 1 Platinum
Playthroughs 7 characters through Hell. One should be Hardcore and continue to Level 99
Online Trophies 1 required. Macabre Mark needs another player and 20 PvP ears
Missable Trophies 0
Difficulty Trophies Yes. Nightmare, Hell, and Hardcore completion are required
Hardest Trophy I'm gonna do what's called a pro gamer move, for reaching Level 99 in Hardcore
Glitched Trophies No trophy is universally broken. I like the heat. has post-expansion tracking reports, and cross-version transfer is unreliable
DLC Trophies None. Reign of the Warlock adds no trophy pack, and the base list has no Warlock-specific requirement

This is one of the longest entries in the PlayStation trophy guides library. Hardcore death permanently removes the character, so patience matters throughout the Level 99 grind.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap

1

Phase 1: Clear Hell With All Seven Original Classes

Learn on Softcore before risking the Hardcore character. Complete Hell with the Sorceress, Necromancer, Paladin, Barbarian, Amazon, Druid, and Assassin. Each must clear Normal and Nightmare first.

Use an original class for Hardcore so its Hell clear also counts toward the seven. Its first Normal Baal clear earns You ain't hardcore, unless you live hardcore. A Paladin or Summon Necromancer works well. Complete every quest and waypoint on one character for Completed Grimoire and Explorer Reporting.

The class grind is broader than the Diablo 4 trophy route because every original class needs a Hell clear.

2

Phase 2: Take the Hardcore Character to Level 99

After Hell Baal, level through safe Terror Zones. One Hardcore Level 99 character unlocks both Level 99 trophies, so a second Level 99 character is unnecessary.

Prioritize survival over theoretical experience per hour. Keep resistances capped and leave when a zone feels unstable. One death erases that character.

3

Phase 3: Complete PvP, Uber, Gambling, and Item Cleanup

Boost Macabre Mark with a second player, then finish the Cube recipes, mercenary hires, item sets, gambling, Stone of Jordan, and Standard of Heroes.

Trading accelerates most item trophies, but Card Counter must come from gambling. Selling and kill counts will finish naturally during the seven clears and Level 99 grind.

Missable Trophies in Diablo 2: Resurrected

There are no permanently missable trophies. Areas, quests, bosses, merchants, and waypoints remain available, while failed Hardcore objectives can be retried with another character.

Hardcore death does not lock the Platinum, but it deletes that character and all its progress.

The Level 99 Hardcore Grind

Choose Offline or Online Before Committing

Offline avoids latency and supports player scaling up to Players 8. Use the highest setting you can clear safely. Macabre Mark still needs a separate online character.

Online adds trading and group leveling, but also disconnect risk. Cross-progression can move characters without transferring trophy flags between PS4 and PS5.

Level Efficiently Without Taking Unnecessary Risks

Reach Level 24 in the early Acts, complete Normal Ancients, then use Baal runs into the 40s. Repeat through Nightmare before entering Hell.

After Hell Baal, Terror Zones become the main route because enemies scale with you. Favor open, predictable zones. Use Chaos Sanctuary or Baal when the active zone is poor. Reign of the Warlock shortens its Terror Zone rotation to 30 minutes, while the base trophy list still centers on the seven original classes.

At high levels, avoid Dolls, Souls, cursed packs, hostile auras, and dangerous speed or conviction combinations. Save and exit when a pull becomes uncontrolled.

Build for Survival First

Cap all resistances in Hell, then stack life, hit recovery, and damage reduction. Keep rejuvenation potions ready and never teleport blindly.

A Hammerdin or Fist of the Heavens Paladin balances damage and defense. A Summon Necromancer is slower but safer. Practice the build in Softcore first.

The deliberate approach resembles the Dark Souls Remastered trophy guide, but Hardcore death carries a harsher penalty.

Online and PvP Notes

Macabre Mark and the 20 Ears

Create a private online game with a partner. Both characters should be at least Level 9. Use Normal difficulty, declare hostility from town, then kill the partner outside town and collect the ear.

The same victim can supply all 20 ears. Hold all 20 at once for reliability. The partner can reuse them afterward, and Share Play can assist where the setup supports it.

Trade-Friendly Item Trophies

Players can trade the Stone of Jordan, Standard of Heroes, complete sets, and Unique equipment. Without trading, farm Hell keys, open the three organ portals, then defeat Uber Tristram.

Trading shortens cleanup but cannot replace Hardcore Level 99 or the online PvP trophy.

General Tips, Builds and Farming

01

Builds for the Seven Hell Clears

Class Practical Hell Build Main Consideration
Sorceress Blizzard or Frozen Orb and Hydra Teleport speeds progression, but Hell immunities need a second element or mercenary.
Necromancer Summons and Corpse Explosion Safe and gear-light, though bosses can be slower.
Paladin Blessed Hammer or Fist of the Heavens Strong defenses and an excellent Hardcore candidate.
Barbarian War Cry or Frenzy More gear-dependent than most classes.
Amazon Lightning Fury and Charged Strike Excellent area damage, with immunities handled by a mercenary or backup damage.
Druid Wind Hurricane, Tornado, Oak Sage, and summons provide balanced safety.
Assassin Lightning Sentry and Death Sentry Fast progression with Corpse Explosion support from Death Sentry.

Akara grants one free respec per difficulty. Switch from a leveling setup to the final Hell build when immunities matter. Boss essences create additional Tokens of Absolution.

02

Farming and Cube Cleanup

Nightmare Andariel remains a practical Stone of Jordan farm. Her enhanced quest-style drops no longer require the old Warriv ritual.

Save low runes, gems, sets, and cheap Uniques. Stealth uses Tal then Eth in a two-socket non-magic body armor for Rus Do Fah!. A Level 11 character can gamble cheap daggers for Gull and Card Counter.

Keep separate quest and waypoint checklists. The route rewards the preparation found in the Elden Ring trophy guide, but replaces ending management with repetition.

PS4 vs PS5 Autopop Note

PS4 and PS5 use separate lists. Cross-progression can move online characters, but trophy data does not reliably autopop. Repeating a final trigger may work, while cumulative or class-clear trophies can remain locked.

Finish one version completely. PS4 first is the safer stacking order, but expect major PS5 repetition. Keep all seven Hell clears on one list. If I like the heat. does not unlock, repeat Hell Baal with the completed original classes and check the current patch before adding a Warlock clear solely as a workaround.

Hardest Trophies and How to Get Them

01

I'm Gonna Do What's Called a Pro Gamer Move

Build for capped resistances and survival, farm only familiar zones, and leave at the first sign of lag or danger. One Hardcore Level 99 character unlocks both Level 99 trophies.

02

I Like the Heat.

Complete Hell with the seven original classes and keep a checklist. The base list has no class-specific Warlock trophy, but post-expansion tracking reports exist. Keep the route on one platform and expect possible Hell Baal reruns.

03

It Has a Purpose!

Farm three sets of Terror, Hate, and Destruction keys, collect the mini-Uber organs, then clear Uber Tristram. A Smiter Paladin with crushing blow, life tap, and strong resistances is the standard solution.

04

Card Counter

Use a low-level character so daggers stay cheap, bank plenty of gold, and gamble until Gull appears. Drops and trades do not count.
