Persona 5 Trophy Guide: Quick Info
Persona 5 vs Persona 5 Royal
This guide is for the original Persona 5 trophy list released worldwide in 2017. Persona 5 Royal is a separate game with different trophies, altered systems, and an additional third semester. Trophy progress and save data do not transfer between the two lists.
The original list is more demanding. It requires every Confidant, every book, every video game, all Mementos requests, a complete Persona Compendium, 250 Futaba navigation lines, and two New Game Plus objectives. Royal removes several of these completion checks and can usually be finished in one run.
The Persona 5 Royal trophy route therefore uses different milestones and trophy names. The Phenomenal Phantom Thief belongs to Royal, while this page works toward Legendary Phantom Thief.
Persona 5 Platinum Roadmap
Phase 1: Follow a 100 Percent First-Run Schedule
I recommend starting on Normal difficulty and following a day-by-day schedule from the first free calendar date. You can change difficulty later, but Safe becomes permanent once selected. Normal also gives enemies enough durability and variety to make Passionate Listener and Competent Negotiator easier to trigger.
Your first run should prioritize the trophies that consume calendar slots:
- Max all Confidants and all five social stats.
- Answer every classroom question and exam question correctly.
- Complete each Palace in as few visits as practical.
- Batch several Mementos requests into one trip.
- Read every Mishima message before older messages disappear.
- Work twice at the convenience store, flower shop, and Crossroads bar when their request targets become available.
- Read all 34 books, finish all six video games, and unlock every hangout spot.
- Personally craft every infiltration tool after the full list opens on 7/25.
Carry a Persona that matches the Arcana of the Confidant you are meeting. Prioritize Fortune and Temperance because their later abilities save calendar time. Use free train reading, classroom crafting, plant care, and crossword opportunities whenever they appear.
Rotate all 16 manual save slots. Persona 5 has no traditional autosave that protects every calendar choice, so keep separate files before each Palace deadline, exam block, major Confidant decision, and late-game story choice.
Phase 2: Finish the Story and First-Run Cleanup
Complete the Castle, Museum, Bank, Pyramid, Spaceport, Casino, and Cruiser Palaces, then finish Mementos. A New Journey unlocks for seeing an ending, but the true-ending route preserves the full calendar and leads to The True Trickster. Reject any late-game deal that ends the story early.
Before the final sequence, finish every remaining first-run activity. Typical cleanup includes the Reaper, the Ichigaya Guardian, the home run, vending-machine drinks, searchable Palace objects, all requests, books, games, and infiltration tools. Complete the Compendium as far as possible and register the Personas needed for Satanael.
The ideal first run ends with every trophy except Beyond Rehabilitation, Mask Collector, and One Who Rebels Against a God. Save your clear data in a new slot. Do not overwrite the last manual save from before the ending, since that file is useful if a late first-run trophy was overlooked.
Phase 3: Complete New Game Plus to Around 5/18
Load the clear data and carry over social stats, money, the Persona Compendium, skill cards, equipment, playtime, and special Confidant items. Character levels and Confidant ranks reset.
Advance until Mementos and Group Guillotine are available. Around 5/18, you can fuse Satanael after unlocking the required execution option. Summon the registered component Personas from the Compendium and pay any level difference with the money carried from the first run. This unlocks One Who Rebels Against a God and completes Mask Collector when every other Persona is registered.
Defeat Caroline and Justine before 12/22 for Beyond Rehabilitation. A prepared clear file can handle all New Game Plus dependent trophies near the beginning of the run, so a second full playthrough is unnecessary unless first-run schedule trophies were missed.

Missable Trophies and Scheduling in Persona 5
Persona 5 has 36 missable trophies because the base game offers no post-story free roam. Almost every optional objective must be finished before the late-December cutoff. The safest route is a proven 100 percent calendar schedule rather than an improvised first playthrough.
Compared with Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Persona 5 gives you far less freedom to leave side content for post-game cleanup. A missed message, book, request, or Confidant rank can affect several trophies at once.
Calendar Priorities
I would treat Great Phantom Thieves Convene as the backbone of the run. Bring a matching Arcana Persona to every optional Confidant meeting, choose the highest-value dialogue answers, and avoid spending a time slot on a meeting that cannot rank up. Fortune's Affinity Reading can add relationship points without passing time, while Temperance can return an evening after selected Palace or Mementos visits.
Finish Palaces quickly, but do not wait until the displayed deadline. Some Palaces need extra days for the calling card and story response. Group Mementos requests together so one trip clears several targets.
For Mask of an Honor Student, answer every exam question correctly and raise Knowledge early. Max Knowledge is the reliable target for the later exams. True Talent then follows naturally if the schedule balances books, jobs, baths, the diner, plant care, movies, and other social-stat activities.
Requests, Books, and Hangout Spots
A Perfect Job requires all 26 requests. Read Mishima's messages as they arrive because the phone stores a limited number of older messages. Several requests come from optional Confidants. Three targets require two shifts at the convenience store, flower shop, and Crossroads bar before their identities are revealed.
Bookworm requires 34 completed books. Return school library books promptly so the next one can be borrowed. Three books are Mementos request rewards, which means a missed request can block Bookworm as well as A Perfect Job. Speed Reader reduces the time cost once it becomes available.
My Backyard also overlaps with books and Confidants. Some locations open through the story, while others require invitations or travel books. A schedule that completes every book and Confidant normally unlocks all 25 locations before the final month.
Save Discipline
Use the 16 save slots as a calendar safety net. Keep one rolling save for each in-game week, one before every Palace deadline, one before exams, and one before the late-game ending choices. Keep a separate file before starting New Game Plus.
A manual checklist is useful for drinks, books, games, infiltration tools, requests, and hangout spots. The game does not provide a complete trophy tracker for these sets, so relying on inventory alone can hide an item that was received rather than personally crafted.
Does Difficulty Affect Persona 5 Trophies?
No trophy requires a specific difficulty. You may lower the setting for bosses, the Reaper, or the twins without losing trophy eligibility.
Normal is the best starting setting for the Platinum route. Enemies survive long enough to produce varied Futaba lines, and allies are more likely to enter the low-HP state needed for Competent Negotiator. Easy and Safe can make both situations less natural because the party becomes overpowered quickly.
Safe difficulty cannot be changed after selection during that playthrough. Choose it only when you are certain you will not need to raise the difficulty for a hostage setup or broader combat-line variety. Its 3/10 rating still makes this one of the longest routes in the PlayStation Trophies wiki.
General Tips for the Persona 5 Platinum
Confidants and Social Stats
Carry the correct Arcana Persona before each optional Confidant event. Prioritize Fortune, Temperance, Sun, and time-limited school Confidants, then fit the more flexible evening links around them. Some Confidants stop progressing until a linked Mementos request is completed.
Raise social stats with actions that support another trophy whenever possible. Books, video games, the batting cages, fishing, part-time jobs, and crafting all contribute to broader completion. Feed the plant whenever it is ready because this raises Kindness without using a time slot.
Exams and Classroom Answers
Answer every classroom question correctly for free Knowledge, then save before each of the four exam blocks. Mask of an Honor Student requires correct exam answers and enough Knowledge to place first, so a perfect answer sheet alone may not be sufficient. A 100 percent schedule should raise Knowledge early enough for the later exams.
Mementos Requests and Money
Enter Mementos only after several requests are ready. This protects calendar slots and creates more chances for negotiation, ambush, weakness, searchable-object, and Futaba-line progress.
Money carries into New Game Plus, so finish the first run with a large reserve. A common base-game farm uses Pulinpa from a high-Luck Persona against a Confuse-susceptible Mementos request boss. Guard while the boss throws money, then repeat until you can afford high-level Compendium summons and Satanael's components.
Do not defeat a farm target until the money reserve is sufficient. Register every useful component Persona before the ending so it can be summoned immediately in New Game Plus.
Combat and Futaba Navigation Lines
Passionate Listener counts different navigation lines, not 250 total callouts. The counter also resets when New Game Plus starts. Rotate every party member after Futaba joins and deliberately trigger weakness, critical, ailment, low-HP, defeat, recovery, ambush, and enemy-count situations.
Keep weaker weapons and low-tier skills available so enemies survive long enough to produce status and recovery lines. Do not leave this trophy until the last dungeon. The Platinum route is much safer when Futaba comments are varied across several Palaces and Mementos visits.
For A Unique Rebel, enter Mementos during flu season on 11/13, 11/14, 11/15, 12/8, or 12/9. Engage the Reaper until it starts with Despair, then survive until the ailment defeats it. Escape and try again when Despair does not appear.
For routine combat trophies, target groups of low-level Shadows in early Mementos floors. These encounters simplify The Ultimate Strike, Power That Connects, and Skilled Gunman without consuming a calendar slot beyond the Mementos trip already planned.
New Game Plus Carryover and Cleanup
New Game Plus is mandatory for Beyond Rehabilitation, One Who Rebels Against a God, and Mask Collector. It is not a full second run when the first playthrough is properly scheduled.
| Carries Over | Resets |
|---|---|
| Social stats | Character levels |
| Money | Confidant ranks |
| Persona Compendium | Active Persona stock |
| Skill cards | Story and calendar progress |
| Weapons, armor, and accessories | Palace and Mementos completion |
| Special Confidant items | Requests and most activity progress |
| Total playtime | Futaba navigation-line counter |
The Compendium carries over, but the Personas currently in Joker's stock do not. Register the final versions of Satanael's six components before ending the first run. Equipment makes the early story easier, while maxed social stats remove most activity gates.
Advance to the first Mementos access and then to Strength Rank 1 around 5/18. Create Satanael once Group Guillotine opens, which also completes the Compendium when every other entry is registered. The twins can be challenged after Mementos becomes available, so all remaining trophies can be completed within the same short run.
Craftworker Glitch and Workaround
Craftworker is the list's main glitch-prone trophy. The trophy checks whether Joker personally created every infiltration tool, not whether each tool has appeared in the inventory.
Use this procedure:
- Wait until 7/25, when the complete crafting selection becomes available.
- Make a written checklist of every tool shown at the work desk.
- Craft at least one of each tool as Joker.
- Do not count tools made by Kawakami.
- Do not count free tools received from Morgana, requests, or other sources.
- Keep a save before crafting the final entries.
Tools made by Joker during class count. If the trophy does not unlock, manually craft the common tools again, especially Goho-M, since the game gives free copies that can make it look completed. Repeating one of each tool is safer than trusting the current inventory total.
Hardest Persona 5 Trophies and How to Get Them
Beyond Rehabilitation
The twins are the toughest combat check and are available only in New Game Plus. Bring a high-level Persona with strong resistances and a reliable multi-target attack. Yoshitsune with Hassou Tobi is a common choice, but any well-built endgame Persona can work.
Caroline and Justine must be managed together. If one remains standing after the other falls, she can revive her partner. Lower both to similar health, apply Charge or Concentrate, then finish them in the same turn. Heal before their scripted damage checks and lower the difficulty if needed.
Great Phantom Thieves Convene
Maxing every Confidant is difficult because one inefficient month can create a chain of missed ranks, requests, books, and locations. Follow a full calendar schedule, carry matching Arcana Personas, and prioritize Fortune and Temperance. Never ignore a Confidant request that blocks later ranks.
The trophy unlocks only when all Confidants reach their maximum rank in the same playthrough. Progress from separate runs does not combine.
Mask Collector
The Compendium requires every base-game Persona, including ultimate Personas unlocked by maxing Confidants, all Treasure Demons, special fusions, and Satanael. Downloadable Personas do not count toward the required percentage.
Complete as much as possible in the first run. Register rare Treasure Demons and the six Satanael components, then use carried money in New Game Plus. If the percentage appears stuck, check hidden Treasure Demon gaps and ultimate Arcana Personas before repeating ordinary fusions.
Passionate Listener
This trophy is easy to underestimate because it tracks 250 unique Futaba lines and does not show progress. Rotate party members, allow different ailments and knockdowns, vary enemy counts, and avoid overleveling immediately after Futaba joins.
Navigation lines do not carry into New Game Plus. Treat the remaining Palaces and every scheduled Mementos visit as part of the grind rather than saving it for the end.
Regional Persona 5 Platinum Stacking
The original Persona 5 has four separately tracked trophy lists for the English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean releases. Each version can award its own Legendary Phantom Thief Platinum on the same account.
These are full regional stacks, not autopops. You must complete the entire 100-hour route again in each version, and save data does not move between incompatible regional releases. Language and store-region requirements make this practical only for dedicated stackers.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many trophies are in Persona 5?
The base Persona 5 list has 49 trophies: 40 Bronze, 5 Silver, 3 Gold, and 1 Platinum. Persona 5 Royal has a separate list.
Is the Persona 5 Platinum hard?
It is about 3/10 for difficulty. The combat is manageable, but the 100-130 hour runtime and 36 missable trophies demand careful scheduling.
How long does it take to Platinum Persona 5?
Expect around 100-130 hours for one scheduled playthrough and the short New Game Plus cleanup. A blind first run can push the total much higher.
How many missable trophies are there in Persona 5?
There are 36 missable trophies. Most optional trophies must be completed before the late-December cutoff because the base game has no post-story free roam.
Do you need New Game Plus for the Persona 5 Platinum?
Yes. Beyond Rehabilitation and One Who Rebels Against a God are exclusive to New Game Plus, while Mask Collector also depends on the New Game Plus-only Satanael. An optimized route only needs the second run to reach roughly 5/18.
Does Persona 5 have difficulty trophies?
No. Every trophy can be earned on any difficulty, though Normal is more convenient for Futaba lines and the hostage event.
Is A New Journey tied to the true ending?
A New Journey unlocks for seeing an ending. The true-ending route is still recommended because an early bad ending cuts off the calendar and blocks the full Mementos route.
Is Persona 5 Royal the same trophy list?
No. Royal is a separate game with different trophy requirements and extra story content. This guide covers only the original Persona 5.
Can you stack the Persona 5 Platinum?
Yes. The English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean releases each have a separate trophy list, but every stack requires a full completion.
A scheduled first run leaves only the twins and the Satanael-based trophies for New Game Plus. Persona 5 boosting services provide a direct option when the remaining calendar grind or Platinum cleanup is the only part left.
