Blue Prince Trophy Guide and Platinum Walkthrough

Difficulty: Around 5 out of 10 by community rating, described as grindy rather than hard. The luck-based trophies are the exception. Time: Highly variable. Around 60 to 80 hours is commonly quoted, but one guide author logged 270 plus hours chasing the Day One trophy alone. Minimum route: Not applicable. It is a roguelite built on repeated runs, plus separate mode runs. Missables: 0, though many have several moving parts to track across runs.

This roadmap puts the run order, cleanup rules, and full trophy list in one place. For another route with similar planning pressure, use the Balatro trophy guide.

Efficient route

Blue Prince Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap

Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep cleanup efficient for Blue Prince.

1

Phase 1: Learn the estate and reach Room 46

Play normal runs to reach Room 46 and claim the inheritance, learning what the rooms and items do and unlocking permanent upgrades along the way.

Keep this save. It is your main file for the rest of the platinum.

2

Phase 2: Bank the standard trophies

Work the trophies that come from repetition and puzzle solving on your main save. Most runs will push several of them forward at once.

Collect the 16 upgrade disks. Take the Electric Eel upgrade for the Aquarium and favour dice upgrades where offered.

3

Phase 3: Chip at the luck trophies and the modes

Between normal runs, attempt the day one Room 46 feat and the speed trophy. Starting early stops them becoming a wall at the end.

Run Dare Mode, resetting until you draw manageable dares. Then unlock and grind out Curse Mode, taking as many days as you need. Transfer trophy data back to your main save after each.

4

Phase 4: Trophy Room and platinum

With everything else banked, find the Trophy Room and collect the final trophy, which awards the platinum.

Guide notes

The Two Luck-Based Trophies

Reaching Room 46 on day one depends on random room generation and can take 100 plus attempts, and the speed trophy is similarly luck-gated.

Guide notes

Dare Mode

After unlocking Dare Mode, reset until the opening draw contains four manageable dares. A good reset is faster than forcing a weak combination through a full attempt.

  • Keep one main save for the whole platinum, and remember to transfer trophy data back to it after separate mode runs or the progress will not count where you need it.
  • Dare Mode can be reset until you draw four manageable dares, so do not fight a bad draw.
  • Curse Mode has no day limit, so it is a patience test rather than a skill test.

Guide notes

Curse Mode

Curse Mode has an involved unlock path but no in-game day limit. Treat it as a patient progression run, then transfer its trophy data back to the main save.

  • Curse Mode has no day limit, so it is a patience test rather than a skill test.

Guide notes

Save Discipline and Trophy Data

The mechanic people get wrong. Keep one main save, and transfer trophy data back to it after separate mode runs so progress counts toward the platinum.

  • Keep one main save for the whole platinum, and remember to transfer trophy data back to it after separate mode runs or the progress will not count where you need it.

Guide notes

Upgrade Disks

All 16 Upgrade Disks are in fixed locations, although the upgraded room is not chosen directly. Any completed set can support the platinum. The Electric Eel Aquarium upgrade and dice upgrades offer useful flexibility.

Guide notes

The Trophy Room Finish

Once every other requirement is complete, locate the Trophy Room and collect its final trophy. That pickup completes the collection and awards the platinum.

  • Reaching Room 46 on day one is pure random room generation and can take 100 plus attempts. Start trying it early, between normal runs.

Guide notes

Setting Expectations

Published estimates range from about 60 hours to well over 200. Room generation, the day-one Room 46 run, and individual puzzle speed determine where a save lands inside that range.

Efficient route

Blue Prince Platinum Strategy

Use these checkpoints alongside the roadmap to keep the Blue Prince trophy route on schedule and protect the high-risk requirements.

1

Protect one main save and its trophy data

Use one main save as the record of overall platinum progress. Separate Dare Mode and Curse Mode attempts are useful, but their trophy data needs to be transferred back to the main save after the related run. Skipping that transfer can leave a trophy completed on one file without advancing the collection that eventually opens the Trophy Room finish.

Before switching modes, note the outstanding trophies and the current Trophy Room state. After the mode trophy unlocks, return the data to the main file and verify the new entry before starting another branch. This discipline matters more than raw puzzle speed because Blue Prince spreads progress across many generated days and several rule sets.

2

Attempt the luck trophies throughout the route

Room 46 on day one and the speed requirement are controlled heavily by room generation. Start attempting both early, between normal progression days, rather than saving them for the final cleanup. A failed attempt can still teach the room combinations and item economy that support the next run, while waiting until the end turns normal random variance into a dedicated grind.

Reset aggressively when the opening rooms cannot support the target. The same principle applies to Dare Mode, where drawing four manageable dares is more efficient than forcing an awkward set. Curse Mode is different because it has no day limit. Progress carefully there and treat it as a long unlock sequence rather than a speed challenge.

3

Finish disks and the Trophy Room in a controlled order

The 16 Upgrade Disks sit in fixed locations, but the game does not let you directly select which room receives every upgrade. Any valid upgraded set can support the platinum. The Electric Eel improvement for the Aquarium is particularly useful, while dice upgrades add flexibility when a generated path is close to working but needs one better outcome.

Do not enter the Trophy Room finish assuming the platinum will repair missing mode data. Confirm the day-one result, speed trophy, Dare Mode, Curse Mode, and disk requirements on the main save first. Then locate the Trophy Room and collect its final trophy. Random generation explains why total estimates range from around 60 hours to more than 200, so completion tracking is the best protection against wasted days.

4

Audit the main save before the final room

Compare the main save against all 17 trophy requirements before collecting the Trophy Room finish. Confirm that the luck-gated day-one and speed results are recorded, both alternate modes have transferred their data, all fixed Upgrade Disk locations have been handled, and the Trophy Case reflects every earlier unlock. If one entry is missing, repair that requirement first and transfer the data again. The final room is a completion step, not a substitute for progress that remains isolated on another save.

5

Confirm the Trophy Case after every major unlock

Open the case after a mode completion, disk milestone, or luck trophy and verify that the new entry belongs to the main save. A missing entry is easier to repair immediately than after dozens of additional generated days.

6

Use failed generated days as route practice

A generated day that cannot reach Room 46 is not automatically wasted. Use it to learn room effects, test item combinations, locate fixed disk requirements, and improve the main save. End the attempt early only when the layout cannot advance either the target trophy or permanent progress. This keeps the random grind productive without forcing a dead route.

For the speed and day-one attempts, define a reset point before starting. If the required rooms, keys, or economy have not appeared by that point, reset cleanly and protect the time. For normal runs, continue whenever the layout can still add knowledge, disks, or Trophy Room progress.
