Ghost of Yotei Trophy Guide Quick Info
The safest route is story first, weapon-master and side tales second, then a region-by-region activity sweep. The PlayStation trophy guides hub has more roadmap-first Platinum walkthroughs.

Efficient route
Ghost of Yotei Platinum Roadmap
The base list is forgiving. Explore naturally, keep a few manual saves, and use the postgame for systematic cleanup.
Phase 1: Play the Story and Build Atsu’s Toolkit
Complete the main hunt on any difficulty and explore naturally as regions open. No base-game trophy is permanently missable, so you can follow the story without a collectible guide. Clear nearby camps, bounties, dens, hot springs, shrines, and bamboo strikes when they fit your route, but do not turn every new region into a full sweep.
Use separate manual-save slots before major story beats and difficult side encounters. The game supports free roam after the ending, and the Platinum does not require Lethal difficulty or New Game+.
Phase 2: Complete Weapon Masters, Tales, and Bounties
Finish the Yari, Kusarigama, and Odachi master questlines. These award three Silver trophies and unlock combat tools needed for several miscellaneous trophies. Complete the named side tales tied to From One Ghost to Another, Sitturaynu, Unrivaled, Kunai Defender, and Gift for Destruction as their regions become comfortable.
Collect bounty posters from inns and turn them in regularly so later targets appear. There are 31 for Master Bounty Hunter, the longest single checklist in the base game.
Phase 3: Clear Camps and Region Activities
Remove all 22 Yōtei Six camps for For the Living. Then finish the activities that improve Atsu while also advancing trophies: 15 Bamboo Strikes, 13 Shrine Climbs, 16 Hot Springs, 30 Altars of Reflection, 11 Fox Dens, and 10 Wolf Dens.
Work region by region and confirm each map before leaving it. This approach supplies skill points, health, resolve, charms, and materials for the remaining combat and upgrade work.
Phase 4: Finish Collections and Equipment
Complete all 12 Nine Tails puzzle boxes, 15 sumi-e paintings, 7 shamisen songs, Mountain Reliquaries, and 10 special bow or music locations. Collect 8 Ghost offerings and at least 30 Vanity Gear pieces.
Buy and earn every armor set, melee weapon, ranged weapon, and quickfire weapon. Upgrade 10 distinct charms once and fully upgrade the Wolf Blade. If one equipment category is incomplete, revisit weapon-master tales, regional vendors, camps, and activity rewards before searching blindly.
Phase 5: Combat and Interaction Cleanup
Use camps, roadside patrols, or surviving hostile areas for the remaining setups. Complete From the Hip, The Owl’s Talon, Sayonara, You Dropped This, The Horror, Wolf Bait, Two as One, Brush Fire, and Spear Fishing one at a time.
Finish the small interaction trophies by winning a zeni hajiki charm, playing the shamisen at camp, naming the horse, interrogating 10 enemies, collecting 10 full Sake jars, and saving a customized Photo Mode scene. The Platinum unlocks when all other base trophies are complete.
Guide notes
Difficulty, Missables, and Free Roam
No base-game trophy is permanently missable. The world stays open after the ending, and unfinished tales, bounties, camps, collectibles, and combat tasks can be completed in free roam.
There is no difficulty trophy. The easiest setting and accessibility options are trophy-safe, making the Platinum around 3/10. Manual saves are supported, so rotate a few slots before story conclusions and unusual combat attempts.
The Platinum also needs only one playthrough. New Game+ is optional and has two separate update trophies that do not affect Legendary Onryō.
Guide notes
Ghost of Yotei Collectibles and Activity Checklist
| Activity | Required | Trophy |
|---|---|---|
| Yōtei Six camps | 22 | For the Living |
| Bounties | 31 | Master Bounty Hunter |
| Bamboo Strikes | 15 | Body, Mind, and Spirit |
| Shrine Climbs | 13 | |
| Hot Springs | 16 | |
| Altars of Reflection | 30 | Moments of Reflection |
| Fox Dens | 11 | Guardian of Inari |
| Wolf Dens | 10 | Wolves of Ezo |
| Nine Tails puzzle boxes | 12 | Trickster Fox |
| Sumi-e paintings | 15 | An Artist’s Eye |
| Shamisen songs | 7 | Like Mother, Like Daughter |

Clear one region at a time and revisit its vendors before moving on. Camps and tales supply many weapons, charms, materials, and armor pieces, so finishing activities first reduces the equipment hunt.

Clean up faster
Ghost of Yotei Cleanup Tips
Unlock the Full Weapon Kit Early
The three weapon-master questlines provide strong combat options and the exact moves needed for several miscellaneous trophies.
Let Activities Power the Cleanup
Hot Springs, Bamboo Strikes, shrines, altars, dens, and camps strengthen Atsu while advancing multiple trophy lists at once.
Use One Combat Setup at a Time
Disarms, ledge kills, Pistol Parries, fear, grass fire, wolf assists, and ranged Kusarigama assassinations are more reliable when attempted separately.
Keep Manual Saves
Nothing is missable, but a save near a good enemy group or skill challenge makes short trophy retries much faster.
Guide notes
New Game+ and Legends Trophy Notes
The live list now contains 62 trophies, but the eight additions are separate from the base Platinum.
New Game+ adds Rare and Exceptional for buying an item from Masujiro the Melodious and Mo Ichido for completing Atsu’s Hunt again. Legends adds six cooperative trophies: Tale of Revenge, Student No More, Vengeance Fulfilled, Ghosts Unyielding, No More Lessons, and Kaibyaku.
You can stop after the 54 base trophies if Legendary Onryō is your only goal. Pursuing 100% requires a New Game+ run and online Legends progress.
Quick answers
Ghost of Yotei Trophy FAQ
How many trophies are in Ghost of Yotei?
The base game has 54 trophies: 44 Bronze, 7 Silver, 2 Gold, and 1 Platinum. New Game+ adds 2 trophies and Legends adds 6, making 62 total, but those updates are not required for the Platinum.
How hard is the Ghost of Yotei Platinum?
Plan around 3/10 on the easiest setting. Most requirements are exploration and completion tasks; the trickier combat trophies can be retried in free roam.
How long does the Ghost of Yotei Platinum take?
Most routes take about 50 to 70 hours, depending on exploration habits and how much side content you complete during the story.
Are any Ghost of Yotei trophies missable?
No base-game trophy is permanently missable. Free roam remains available after the story, and manual saves provide additional safety.
Does difficulty affect trophies?
No. You can earn every base-game trophy on the easiest difficulty and use the available accessibility options.
Is New Game+ required for the Platinum?
No. New Game+ has its own two update trophies, but neither is part of the base Platinum requirement.
Does Ghost of Yotei have online trophies?
The base Platinum has no online trophies. The separate Legends update includes cooperative online trophies for players pursuing 100% completion.
What is the hardest Ghost of Yotei trophy?
Master Bounty Hunter is usually the longest individual requirement because it asks you to complete all 31 bounties. A Moment to Breathe and several combat setups require more precision but are short.
