L.A. Noire Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the L.A. Noire Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 0: Set up your tracking
Link your game to a Rockstar Social Club account. It grants a bonus suit and unlocks their online 100 percent checklist, which is the best tracker for this game.
Back up your save data before you get far. Trophy pop failures have been reported, particularly on collectibles.
Confirm which version you have. The PS4 release adds Police Badges and requires five stars on the DLC cases.
Phase 1: Play the story without a guide
Play the cases through the five desks, Patrol, Traffic, Homicide, Vice and Arson, and enjoy the story unspoiled.
Story and desk-specific trophies unlock naturally, and none of the base list is missable.
Watch for the four DLC-timed trophies. If you miss one, quit out to resume from the last autosave rather than restarting the case.
Do not worry about Golden Film Reels or driving all 95 vehicles yet unless you want them out of the way.
Phase 2: Five stars on every case
Five stars means every interview question answered correctly. Intuition points are allowed but limited, so treat them as a safety net.
Replay cases individually rather than restarting the campaign. On the PS4 version the DLC cases need five stars too.

Phase 3: Collectibles and 100 percent
Sweep the collectibles, 95 vehicles, Golden Film Reels, landmarks and on PS4 the Police Badges.
Use the Social Club checklist to confirm what is outstanding rather than counting manually.
The City Of The Angels, for 100 percent game completion, is the rarest trophy at roughly 1.9 percent and it lands here.
If a collectible trophy has not popped despite a complete count, try the documented workarounds before re-sweeping.

- No missable trophies on the base list. Cases can be replayed individually, so five star ratings and collectibles are all recoverable.
- Four DLC-related trophies are timing-sensitive and must be earned at the right moment in a case. Quitting out resumes from the last autosave, which avoids a full case restart. Without that method they are effectively missable.
