Phase 1: First Run, Area Order and Questlines
I recommend treating the first playthrough as the completion run. Exhaust every NPC's dialogue whenever a portrait appears beside a Shrine, collect trophy-related items before leaving each region, and defeat optional bosses as their routes open.
The ending-critical questlines belong to the Red-Clad Lady, Fang Yao, He Youzai, and the White-Robed Elder. Agree to help the White-Robed Elder and summon him for Bo Sorcerer. Tell the Red-Clad Lady I agree at Avian Dwelling. Before using the Storyteller at Zhenwu Altar, finish Bai Mansion, Monstrous Toddler - Bai Kru, and all remaining Region 1-3 tasks.
Track every trophy set as you progress, especially weapons, pendants, Shrines, Bamboozlings, Inner Demons, gates, riddles, merchant upgrades, and Manna Vase items.
Phase 2: Endings via Save Backup
Wuchang has one autosave. Disable automatic cloud sync before uploading a PlayStation Plus backup, then use the four backup points in the Endings Guide. The safest order is Successor, Jarful, Dream, and Bound. Restore only after the trophy notification appears and the game finishes saving.
Phase 3: Cleanup or New Game Plus Speedrun
Fallen Feathers should unlock after the fourth ending if every other trophy is complete. Missed items and bosses respawn in New Game Plus, but enemies scale upward. A focused cleanup can take around 3-5 hours, and Echo of Bo Magus provides a useful protective bubble for the harder fights.

Missable Trophies and Questline Order
NPC progress is the main source of failed Platinum runs. A portrait beside a Shrine means that character has new dialogue, and advancing a boss or region can erase it. Exhaust the dialogue, rest once, and inspect the fast-travel screen again before moving forward.
The ordering is stricter than the ending and skill cleanup in the Sekiro trophy guide. Complete every available NPC interaction before the next major boss, then revisit local Shrines after the fight.
Highest-Risk Missables
- Red-Clad Lady: Finish her Worship's Rise events and choose I agree at Avian Dwelling.
- White-Robed Elder: Agree at Refugee Camp, summon him against Bo Sorcerer, then return to the Avian Dwelling tomb in Region 5.
- Fang Yao and He Youzai: Complete their Cloudspire, Mt. Zhenwu, Annalum, and Reverent Temple events to receive both ring halves.
- Ai Nengqi: Defeat him at Rebel Camp. Lighting all three signal fires can bypass his trophy fight.
- Bai Kru: Defeat him before the Region 3 Storyteller transition.
- Sage: The third correct answer is The grand dream fades, while the secret route needs The wheel turns anew. Use a backup for both.

You do not need every Benediction item, Aurum Bird or Aurum Feather, armor piece, or Red Feather. The seven gates still count for Discerning Eye, and one weapon must reach +10.
Point of No Return
The major point of no return is at Mt. Zhenwu - Zhenwu Altar after the Sovereign fight. Do not finish the Storyteller's dialogue. Enter the cave behind him, reach Bai Mansion, defeat Bai Kru, complete He Youzai's events, and clear Regions 1-3.
The Storyteller sends you to Region 4 and removes the original Worship's Rise, including its NPC events and riddle doors. Every ending is another lock because the game enters New Game Plus without free roam.
Wuchang's route management is stricter than the late cleanup in the Bloodborne trophy guide, though both reward exploration before the finale.
Endings Guide
Successor of the Bo
Finish the Red-Clad Lady route and choose I agree at Avian Dwelling. In Region 4, refuse to help the Storyteller at Annalum, then defeat Bo Magus. The ending triggers immediately and skips Region 5.
Jarful of Medicine
Near the end of Region 4, choose Hand over the Jade Feather Chisel when Xuanyangzi asks for it. Defeat Feathery Ambition - Xuanyangzi and enter the Stream of Samsara.
Dream's Sweet Deceit
Complete Fang Yao, He Youzai, and White-Robed Elder's quests. Receive both ring halves, choose Remain Silent when Xuanyangzi asks for the chisel, and defeat Zhao Yun's Spirit in Region 5. Answer The wheel turns anew at the last red door, defeat Demon of Obsession, choose Reform causality, and enter the final gate with Ring of Samsara - Rebirth in your inventory.
Bound by Fate's Threads
Follow the Dream route through the final boss, then consume Ring of Samsara - Rebirth before entering the ending gate.

Prioritize Fang Yao, He Youzai, and the White-Robed Elder whenever their Shrine portraits appear. Do not give away the chisel, use the final red door before defeating Zhao Yun's Spirit, or consume the completed ring before the Dream ending.
A Reliable Platinum Build
An Axe with Axe & Hook, Chop & Weave, and Leech Needle offers strong trading, healing, and stamina recovery. Apply the needle with Temperance and use an Ancient Chisel before difficult fights. Shrine respecs are free, so build changes cost less than the commitment found in the Elden Ring trophy guide.
Eternal Glory - Zhao Yun's Spirit
Clash or deflect the spear strings instead of retreating from every hit. Wait for the afterimage to repeat an attack before using a long punish. Finish this route on the first run because Zhao Yun becomes much harsher in New Game Plus.
Dragon Emperor - Zhu Youjian's Obsession
Summon Xuanyangzi when available and use defensive spells such as Echo of Bo Magus for the wide second-phase attacks. Dodge toward the flanks after phase-one pounces, then avoid the hovering orb and delayed red explosions before punishing longer sword strings.
Demon of Obsession and Feathery Ambition
Pressure Demon of Obsession with fast strings because it staggers easily, but retain stamina for its counterattack. Against Feathery Ambition, move toward the side or rear during claw lunges, move clear of the airborne area attacks, and punish the charge windows.
Does Difficulty Affect Trophies and New Game Plus?
No difficulty setting affects trophies because Wuchang has one fixed difficulty. New Game Plus keeps your character progress and respawns missed items, but enemy scaling makes late bosses more dangerous. Complete Dream's Sweet Deceit, Zhao Yun's Spirit, and the major collectible sets on the first run whenever possible.
