Fallout 76 Trophy Guide and Platinum Walkthrough

This Fallout 76 trophy guide maps out a 2-3/10 Platinum that takes around 50 to 130 hours, requires an internet connection and PlayStation Plus, and is driven mainly by the level 100 grind.

Updated July 2026

Fallout 76 Trophy Guide: Quick Info

Platinum difficulty 2-3/10
Time to Platinum 50-130 hours, with level 100 as the main variable
Base-game trophies 51 total: 34 Bronze, 15 Silver, 1 Gold, 1 Platinum
Full PS4 list 73 trophies including 22 add-on trophies, which do not affect the Platinum
Playthroughs 1 character for the Platinum, 2 characters only for both Wastelanders faction endings
Online trophies All 51, since Fallout 76 is online-only and requires PlayStation Plus
Missable trophies None in the base list. Two Wastelanders add-on trophies are mutually exclusive per character
Difficulty trophies None. There is no difficulty requirement
Main grind Reach level 100 for Fallout Forever
Tracking issues Scorched Earth and Breach and Clear have historical non-unlock reports, but both are obtainable
Hardest requirements Level 100, 20 player kills, and reliable credit for Scorched Earth

The wider PlayStation Trophies wiki uses the same base-versus-add-on distinction, which matters here because the two faction endings are not part of the Platinum list.

Fallout 76 Platinum Roadmap

1

Phase 1: Story, C.A.M.P. Building, and Early Levels

Leave Vault 76, follow the original main quest, and complete side questlines whenever they appear. Place a C.A.M.P., build 100 cheap objects, craft armor and a weapon, and start modifying weapons instead of leaving those cumulative trophies for cleanup.

Join a Casual public team for the Intelligence bonus even when you plan to play alone. Raise Intelligence, equip the Hacker perk cards as they unlock, and open every terminal and lock you find. Pick up world-spawned magazines and bobbleheads because copies bought from player vendors do not advance their trophies.

Fallout 76 shares Borderlands 3's trophy structure, since most crafting, combat, exploration, and collection requirements finish naturally when tracked from the beginning.

2

Phase 2: Events and Player-Assisted Trophies

Complete Monster Mash, Breach and Clear, and Scorched Earth when they appear. Finish Mistress of Mystery, Personal Matters, Queen of the Hunt, and Heart of the Enemy while continuing the Enclave route toward I Am Become Death.

Use one partner to earn Field Medic, Bounty Hunter, Kill or Be Killed, and Good Grief in the same session. Public teams count for Never Go it Alone, so joining them throughout your run should remove most of that cleanup.

3

Phase 3: Level 100 and Optional Faction Cleanup

Launch a nuke yourself for reliable I Am Become Death credit, stand at the center of another blast for Ground Zero, and continue high-XP events until Fallout Forever unlocks at level 100.

The base Platinum needs only one character. Create a second character only when pursuing both mutually exclusive Wastelanders faction trophies for 100 percent completion.

Online Requirement

Fallout 76 cannot be played offline. Every base trophy therefore needs an internet connection and an active PlayStation Plus membership, although most objectives can be completed without direct communication or a premade group.

Public teams are useful even for solo play because a Casual team increases Intelligence as team bonds form. You can explore and quest independently while retaining the XP benefit. Scorched Earth is the main base event where a populated public world materially improves your chances.

Faction Missables and the Two-Character Route

The base Platinum has no missable trophies and needs only one character. The apparent faction missables belong to the separate Wastelanders add-on list:

Faction Quest Trophy Tier
Raiders at Crater Buried Treasure Go for the Gold Silver
Settlers at Foundation All That Glitters A Golden Future Silver

Advance both questlines until the game presents Siding with Crater and Siding with Foundation. Choosing one locks that character out of the other faction's final quest. Fallout 76 stores progress online, so a local save backup cannot preserve the branch and a second character is required for both trophies.

The Fallout 4 trophy route can preserve faction branches with local saves, but Fallout 76 requires a genuinely separate character for its Wastelanders split.

Level 100 Grind

Fallout Forever is the main time sink, so treat XP efficiency as part of the route from the start. Join a Casual team, sleep for the rested bonus, equip Inspirational when grouped, keep your Intelligence high, and use Lunchboxes or XP food whenever several high-value activities are queued.

Public events with dense enemy waves provide strong XP because you can tag enemies and receive credit when other players finish them. Expeditions and Daily Ops also combine experience with useful rewards. I recommend prioritizing active events over repeatedly clearing low-value enemies, especially during double-XP periods.

The progression resembles The First Descendant trophy grind, where repeatable group activities make efficient leveling more important than mechanical difficulty.

Bugged and Co-op Trophies

Scorched Earth and Breach and Clear were widely reported as inconsistent around launch. Both can be unlocked now, but event credit may still fail on an individual attempt. For Scorched Earth, join early, damage the Scorchbeast Queen repeatedly, remain in the event area, and wait for the completion rewards. For Breach and Clear, stay through the full event and retry it on another world if the trophy does not register.

A single partner can cover the main player requirements. Disable Pacifist Mode, activate PvP, and trade kills for Kill or Be Killed and Good Grief. Have the partner become wanted for Bounty Hunter, then repeatedly enter a downed state for Field Medic. Joining public teams during normal play handles Never Go it Alone without a dedicated boosting session.

The partner-dependent cleanup is also a natural use case for DamnModz PlayStation trophy services when coordination is the only remaining obstacle.

Hardest Fallout 76 Trophies and How to Get Them

01

Fallout Forever

Keep every practical XP bonus active and build your sessions around populated public events, Expeditions, and Daily Ops. Completing the story, side quests, and event trophies before focused grinding prevents level 100 from becoming a separate 50-level cleanup.

02

Good Grief!

Natural PvP is unreliable, so arrange a private session with one partner. Confirm both players can damage each other, trade 20 kills, and combine the session with Bounty Hunter and Kill or Be Killed.

03

Scorched Earth

Join the event immediately after a nuke hits Fissure Site Prime. Use a ranged weapon to maintain damage on the Queen, survive until the event completes, and avoid leaving the marked area before rewards appear.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to platinum Fallout 76?

Fallout 76 takes around 50 to 130 hours to Platinum, with your route to level 100 creating most of the variation.

How hard is the Fallout 76 Platinum?

The Platinum is about 2-3/10. It is long and occasionally awkward rather than mechanically difficult.

Is Fallout 76 online-only?

Yes. Fallout 76 needs a constant internet connection and PlayStation Plus, although most trophies are soloable on a public world.

What are the missable trophies in Fallout 76?

There are no missable base-game trophies. Go for the Gold and A Golden Future are mutually exclusive Wastelanders add-on trophies that require two characters for both.

Are any Fallout 76 trophies bugged?

No base trophy is considered permanently unobtainable. Scorched Earth and Breach and Clear have historical tracking problems, so repeat the event on another world if needed.

Which Fallout 76 trophies need other players?

Field Medic, Bounty Hunter, Kill or Be Killed, and Good Grief need another player. Never Go it Alone requires joining teams, while Scorched Earth is substantially easier with a public group.

The 2-3/10 difficulty places Fallout 76 among the easiest PlayStation Platinum trophies, although its time requirement is much higher. Keep XP bonuses active, collect magazines and bobbleheads from the world, and combine every player trophy into one planned session.
