LEGO DC Super-Villains Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the LEGO DC Super-Villains Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 1: Story mode, all 20 levels
Play all 20 story levels through to completion. Nothing is missable and everything can be revisited.
Do not worry about minikits yet, since most need Free Play abilities you do not have during Story mode.
Grab the posters in story levels as you pass them, one per level, using Joker or Harley Quinn to spray paint and take a selfie.
Create your own custom character early for that trophy, since it takes seconds.
Phase 2: Activate the terminals, then the hub world
Visit and activate all 9 Johnny DC exploration terminals first. This unlocks all tasks in each map area and turns the hub into a checklist.
Buy the Minikit Detector from the red brick store and activate it from the menu.
Work the hub world collectibles, which supply most of the 200 gold bricks.
Complete the hub quests, races and challenges, and graffiti the 10 hub world posters.
Phase 3: Free Play sweep
Replay every level in Free Play for the minikits and remaining collectibles.
Never finish a level with Save and Exit if you are going for that level's all-minikits trophy. Play through to the end.
Pick up any story level posters you missed, since those 20 can be taken in Free Play too.
Max out your stud bar in every level for Crime Does Pay while you are here.
Phase 4: The Daily Planet and the platinum
With all 100 minikits collected, fast travel to the Daily Planet in Metropolis and read every newspaper cover on the wall. The trophy only fires once you have viewed them all.
Finish the 200 gold bricks for Do you like Gold bricks Batman, the rarest required trophy at 1.5 percent.
Collect all characters and all vehicles, and reach the highest wanted level in the hub.

The DLC level packs are separate and none of their collectibles count toward the base platinum.

Collecting All 100 Minikits Is Not Enough
First section after the Quick Info box. After you have all 100, you must still view them before the trophy unlocks. Fast travel to the Daily Planet in Metropolis, where there is a wall of newspapers you can inspect, and read every cover. Only then does it fire.

Do Not Use Save and Exit
For the trophies requiring all minikits in a specific level, you cannot finish that level using Save and Exit. You must play through to the end, or the trophy will not unlock even with everything collected. That is an easy habit to fall into during a Free Play sweep.
Efficient route
Activate All 9 Johnny DC Terminals First
There are 9 Johnny DC exploration terminals across the map. Visit and activate every one before you start hunting, because doing so unlocks all the tasks in each respective map area. Without them you are exploring a very large hub world blind. This single step is the efficiency order for the whole back half of the platinum.
Buy the Minikit Detector Early
Purchase it from the red brick store and activate it from the menu. Standard LEGO advice, but essential given 100 minikits across 20 story levels.

The 200 Gold Bricks
Do you like Gold bricks Batman sits at just 1.5 percent, making it the rarest required trophy. Most gold bricks come from hub world collectibles rather than levels, which is why the terminal activation matters so much. Note that gold bricks from the six DLC level packs are not required.

The 30 Posters
Graffiti all of them using a character like Joker or Harley Quinn to spray paint and take a selfie. 10 are in the Earth hub world and 20 are in the story levels, one per level, and those 20 can be taken in either Story or Free Play mode. That means you can collect them during your Free Play sweep rather than a separate pass. DLC pack posters are not required.

Xbox Achievements confirms that gold bricks and posters from the six DLC level packs do not count toward the base trophies. One Steam guide claims the DLC is necessary while citing a 75 trophy count, which suggests it is counting DLC trophies rather than the base platinum. State the base position clearly.
LEGO Glitches and One Documented Fix
LEGO games have a history of glitches, some fixed by a simple restart and some requiring a restart of progress. One documented workaround, when a DLC trophy glitched, replaying the first level of that DLC with Mera and Aquaman as the active characters resolved it. Worth including since the usual advice is just to restart.
Save Your Studs for Red Bricks
Buy the red bricks you unlock from Free Play, especially the multipliers, then purchase everything else at the end once the multipliers are stacked. Standard but it materially changes the stud grind.
Not Other LEGO Games
The DLC packs including Batman The Animated Series have their own separate trophy sets. Note them as short additional builds if the volume supports it.

- No missable trophies. Every level and area can be revisited freely.
