Rage 2 Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Rage 2 Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 0: Two things before you explore
Do not clear Hardtop Bandit Den or Crusher Nest. You need their enemies for Zipper and Crushed respectively.
Do not trust the statistics menu. It is buggy and drops stats randomly, so use it as a rough guide only.
Play on easy. Nothing on the base list is difficulty gated.
If you have the DLC, make sure you have the latest patch, since TerrorMania was added free.
Phase 1: Story and open world
After the first story mission you are free to go anywhere, so complete locations and missions in whatever order you prefer.
Work the weapon and ability trophies as you unlock each one, since the list is built around sampling them.
For the Dodge trophy, target the 3 to 4 motorcycles in each convoy. Move the stick sideways and press the ram button, and no vehicle upgrades are needed.
Take the 70 bullet assault rifle burst in 16 seconds whenever it suits, since it is available from early on.
Phase 2: Collectibles and cleanup
Sweep the collectibles, which are a small part of the list rather than its focus.
Farm Zipper at Hardtop Bandit Den and Crushed at Crusher Nest, which is why you kept them intact.
Anything still outstanding can be done quickly on a fresh Easy playthrough, so nothing here is a serious problem.
One soft mention of DamnModz fits here at most, given the low difficulty.
Phase 3: The DLC
Rise of the Ghosts is short, four story missions with a small map, and all locations can be cleared in under 5 hours.
For TerrorMania, save manually before entering the cabin. It locks you into the new area until complete and every area inside is 9 to 10 skulls even on Easy.
Attempt TerrorMania on New Game Plus so you carry all your upgrades in.
Head for Veritas Bonetower first and work the Striking Skulls and Flying Skulls objectives from the start, then the remaining four towers and the boss tower.
Guide notes
Protect Two Locations From Yourself
First section after the Quick Info box. Hardtop Bandit Den is where you want to farm Zipper, killing 13 enemies while riding ziplines, and Crusher Nest is where you want Crushed. Both can be cleared out during normal play, at which point the enemies you needed are gone. Since Zipper is the rarest required trophy on the list, this is the single most consequential piece of advice on the page and no other guide leads with it.

This Is a Playstyle Sampler, Not a Completion Grind
Most of the list asks you to do miscellaneous things with a portion of the weapons and abilities, plus some exploration and a few collectibles. It is designed to push you into trying different playstyles rather than forcing a specific route. There is one potential missable and a couple of awkward ones, but nothing long to clean up, and anything outstanding can be done quickly on a fresh Easy playthrough.
No Difficulty Trophies At All
Play on easy throughout.

The TerrorMania Cabin Locks You In
Do not enter the cabin without manually saving your game first. The DLC locks you into its new area until you complete it, and every area inside is ranked 9 to 10 out of 10 skulls even on Easy difficulty. It is strongly recommended to attempt it on New Game Plus so you bring all your upgrades. The DLC was patched in free, so make sure you have the latest patch before playing.
The Bonetowers
TerrorMania is built around them, with 5 available from the start plus a boss tower unlocked afterwards. All are open immediately but at different difficulty levels, so head for Veritas Bonetower first and focus on the Striking Skulls and Flying Skulls objectives from the beginning.
Rise of the Ghosts
The other expansion, short with a small map and four story missions, with helping Keenan between each one. Clearing all its locations to 100 percent can be done in under 5 hours.
Guide notes
Not the Original Rage
Important disambiguation. The first Rage requires a Nightmare difficulty playthrough and, more seriously, has areas that become permanently unavailable after story progress, which is why it is notorious for 100 percent completion. Rage 2 is fully open world with free movement after the first story mission and none of those problems.
Guide notes
The Awkward Combat Trophies
Group them, since they all resolve with deliberate play. The 70 bullet assault rifle burst in 16 seconds, the vehicle Dodge against enemy bikers which works from the very start with no upgrades needed, and the various ability-specific kills. Note that convoys contain 3 to 4 motorcycles each, so target those specifically for the Dodge.

Guide notes
Rage 2 Missable, Glitched, and Difficulty Notes
- One potential missable on the base list, plus a couple of trophies that are awkward if you are not aware of them.
- The real risk is clearing out the locations you need. Do not destroy Hardtop Bandit Den, required for Zipper, or Crusher Nest, required for Crushed.
- Zipper, killing 13 enemies while riding ziplines, is the rarest required trophy, which is why protecting Hardtop Bandit Den matters.
- The in-game statistics menu is buggy and can drop stats randomly, so it is not reliable for tracking cumulative progress.
- There are no difficulty trophies at all on the base list, and no online trophies.
- In the TerrorMania DLC, do not enter the cabin without manually saving first. It locks you into the new area until complete and every area inside is ranked 9 to 10 out of 10 skulls even on Easy.
- TerrorMania is strongly recommended on New Game Plus so you carry your upgrades in.
- TerrorMania was patched in free, so make sure you have the latest patch installed.
- Do not confuse this with the original Rage, which requires a Nightmare playthrough and has areas that become permanently unavailable.
Quick answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there missable trophies in Rage 2?
One potential missable plus a couple of awkward ones. The bigger risk is accidentally clearing Hardtop Bandit Den or Crusher Nest, since you need their enemies for Zipper and Crushed.
How long does it take to platinum Rage 2?
Around 25 to 29 hours at roughly 3 out of 10 difficulty. There are no online trophies and no difficulty trophies at all.
Can you track trophy progress in Rage 2?
There is a statistics menu, but it is buggy and can drop stats randomly, so treat it as a rough guide rather than a reliable counter.
What is the rarest trophy in Rage 2?
Zipper, for killing 13 enemies while riding ziplines. Hardtop Bandit Den is the best place to farm it, which is why you should avoid clearing that location out.
Does difficulty affect trophies in Rage 2?
No, not on the base list. Play on easy throughout. That is a difference from the original Rage, which required a Nightmare difficulty playthrough.
Should you save before the TerrorMania cabin?
Yes, manually. The DLC locks you into its new area until you complete it, and every area inside is ranked 9 to 10 skulls even on Easy difficulty.
Is TerrorMania free in Rage 2?
It was patched in free, so make sure you have the latest patch installed. It is best attempted on New Game Plus so you carry all your upgrades in.
Is Rage 2 as hard to complete as the first Rage?
No. The original has a Nightmare difficulty requirement and areas that become permanently unavailable after story progress. Rage 2 is fully open world with neither problem.
