Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 1: Main story
Play the main story on any difficulty. Nothing is difficulty gated.
Work through the boss sequence and bank the story trophies as they come, Vepar on the Galleon Minerva, Zangetsu at the Entrance, Craftwork in Dian Cecht Cathedral, Andrealphus in Livre Ex Machina, Valac in the Tower of Twin Dragons, Glutton Train on the Bridge of Evil and Bathin in the Underground Sorcery Lab.
Absorb shards as you go rather than planning a dedicated grind. Most of Shardmaster resolves through normal play.
Do not rush to the Gebel encounter. Read the ending section first, because that fight is where the two missables live.
Phase 2: The endings, with a duplicate save
Defeat True Zangetsu to obtain the Zangetsuto, then make a duplicate save before going any further.
Return to the Hall of Termination and face Gebel. Defeating him with the Zangetsuto equipped awards one ending trophy.
Reload the duplicate save, then weaken Gebel and use the Zangetsuto to destroy the moon instead. This continues toward the true ending.
Defeat Gremory afterwards for the Dimension Shift shard, which lets you pass through thin walls and is required for full map completion.
Then face the final challenge and watch the rise of the castle's new master.
Phase 3: Full map and the three completion lists
With Dimension Shift in hand, complete the map for Cartographer. Thin walls are what most readers are missing.
Complete the item list, which pulls in crafting, transmutation and chest opening along the way.
Complete the demon list, and use the menu to see which demons drop no shard so you are not farming enemies pointlessly.
Absorb one of each of the five shard types if you have not already, which is a separate trophy from Shardmaster.
Phase 4: Shardmaster and the bulk grind
Shardmaster is the wall. Every shard-dropping demon has to give up its shard, and the drop rates are percentage based.
Increase luck and use drop-rate boosting gear before grinding, and target the low-probability shards first while you still have patience.
The bulk trophies land alongside this, level 50, 500,000 G, 100 chests, 1,000 demons, 1,000 candleholders, 30 quests and the small crafting counters.
This is where the platinum becomes an RNG grind rather than a game. One soft mention of DamnModz fits here, then back to farming advice.
Phase 5: The quick oddities
Clear the short novelty trophies last, they take minutes each once you know the method.
Fall on O.D. repeatedly with the Invert shard for the chair bounce, and equip the Carabosse familiar then sit at the piano in the Garden of Silence for the faerie's song.
Backstep continuously for about a minute, and jump kick 10 times without touching the ground.
Change your hairstyle and destroy a secret wall in Galleon Minerva, where three breakable walls exist.
Guide notes
Make a Duplicate Save Before Gebel
Placed above the roadmap. Two ending trophies hinge on one decision at the Hall of Termination after you obtain the Zangetsuto. Killing Gebel awards one trophy. Using the Zangetsuto on the moon instead sends you toward the true ending. A duplicate save before the fight is how you get both without a second playthrough, and that advice currently sits inside a trophy entry where nobody will find it in time.
Guide notes
All Endings and the Gebel Routes
Walk the sequence in order. Defeat True Zangetsu to obtain the Zangetsuto, return to the Hall of Termination, then either defeat Gebel or weaken him and destroy the moon. Explain which trophy each path awards and where the save reload fits.
Efficient route
Shardmaster and the Shard Drop Grind
The longest requirement. Every demon shard has to be absorbed, drops are percentage based, and this is the trophy that stretches a 25 hour game to 35. Include the practical tip that the demon menu shows a dash for enemies that drop no shard, so you are not hunting phantoms.
Five Shard Types vs All Shards
One needs one of each of the five categories, Conjure, Manipulative, Directional, Passive and Familiar. The other needs every shard in the game.
Guide notes
The Three Completion Lists
, an H3 each. Complete the map, complete the item list, complete the demon list. Each is a distinct sweep and the map one depends on having the Dimension Shift shard from Gremory to pass through thin walls.

The Quirky Trophies
Grouped, because they are all short and easy once you know them. Bounce a certain chair repeatedly by falling on O.D. with the Invert shard, listen to the faerie's song by equipping the Carabosse familiar and sitting at the piano in the Garden of Silence, backstep for about a minute, and jump kick 10 times without touching the ground.
Bulk Grind Trophies
Reach level 50, 500,000 G, open 100 chests, slay 1,000 demons, break 1,000 candleholders, borrow 10 books, 10 transmutes, 10 item breakdowns and 30 quests. These resolve naturally alongside the shard grind, so say so rather than listing them as separate work.
Not Curse of the Moon
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon and Curse of the Moon 2 are separate retro-style games with their own trophy lists and a completely different multi-run ending structure.

Guide notes
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Missable, Glitched, and Difficulty Notes
- Two missable trophies, both ending related, and both decided at the Gebel encounter in the Hall of Termination after you obtain the Zangetsuto.
- Defeating Gebel awards one trophy. Weakening him and using the Zangetsuto on the moon sends you to the true ending route instead. A duplicate save before the fight covers both in one playthrough.
- Nothing else in the game is missable. Every other trophy is reachable once you have full map traversal.
- Difficulty does not affect trophies and there are no online trophies.
- Shardmaster is not missable but it is RNG. Shard drops are percentage based, and the demon menu marks enemies that drop no shard with a dash so you can rule them out.
- Full map completion requires the Dimension Shift shard from Gremory, which lets you pass through thin walls. Readers stuck short of 100 percent map are almost always missing those.
- Several free post-launch updates added modes and a playable Zangetsu. Confirm whether any added trophies before publishing a 45 trophy count.
Quick answers
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to platinum Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night?
Around 30 to 36 hours. Most of the variance is the shard drop grind, since drops are percentage based.
Which Bloodstained trophies are missable?
Two, and both are ending related. They hinge on whether you defeat Gebel or use the Zangetsuto to destroy the moon, so make a duplicate save before that fight to get both.
How do you get the true ending in Bloodstained?
Obtain the Zangetsuto by defeating True Zangetsu, then return to the Hall of Termination, weaken Gebel and use the Zangetsuto on the moon rather than killing him.
Do you need two playthroughs for the Bloodstained platinum?
No, one is enough if you make a duplicate save before the Gebel encounter. Reloading it lets you take both ending routes without replaying the game.
What is the hardest trophy in Bloodstained?
Shardmaster, which needs every shard absorbed. The difficulty is RNG rather than skill, since shard drops are percentage based across every enemy that has one.
How do you complete the map in Bloodstained?
You need the Dimension Shift shard from Gremory, which lets you pass through thin walls. Readers stuck just short of full map completion are usually missing those hidden rooms.
Does difficulty affect trophies in Bloodstained?
No. There are no difficulty-related trophies, so play on whichever setting you prefer.
Is this the same as Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon?
No. Curse of the Moon and Curse of the Moon 2 are separate retro-style games with their own trophy lists and a very different multi-run ending structure.
