Monster Hunter Wilds Trophy Guide Quick Info
All 50 trophies must be earned on one character because each trophy is tied to an award in that character's Hunter Profile. The list combines story progress, 100 multiplayer quests, rare endemic life, fishing, and 52 required crowns. This complete route sits alongside our other PlayStation trophy guides for long-form Platinum cleanups.
Monster Hunter Wilds Platinum Roadmap
Phase 1: Story, Side Missions, and Early Online Progress
Play through all six story chapters until you complete What Lies Ahead at Hunter Rank 40. The credits appear earlier, but One Corner of the World does not unlock until the final post-credits chapter is finished. Nothing can be missed, so explore at your own pace and complete side missions whenever their yellow markers appear.
You need 30 different side missions for East to West, A Hunter Never Rests, but you do not need every available mission. Prioritize simple hunts and complete Kanya's fishing chain because it unlocks the bait needed for the Goliath Squid and 30 whoppers.
Start multiplayer progress early. Quests completed with exactly one other human hunter can advance Hunters United Forever while keeping your Palico deployed for Someone Worth Following. This two-player setup prevents a separate 100-quest Palico grind later.
Phase 2: Hunting, Crafting, Fishing, and Hunter Rank 100
After the story, work toward Hunter Rank 100 while capturing monsters instead of always slaying them. You need 50 captures, 50 tempered monster hunts, 50 apex hunts, 100 total large monster hunts, and every launch large monster hunted at least once. Tempered apex investigations can advance several of these counters together while supplying strong Artian parts.
Forge five different Rarity 7 or higher weapons and five armor pieces. Then use Rarity 8 Artian parts from high-level tempered investigations to create the weapon required for A Legacy Restored. Keep ten different Rarity 6 special items in storage at the same time for Explorer of the Eastlands.
Finish the rare endemic and fishing trophies during this phase. The Scarlet Forest is central to the Goliath Squid, whopper fishing, and a useful money farm. Selling Goldenfish and Platinumfish scales can push your held balance to 1,000,000 zenny if normal quest rewards have not already done so.
Phase 3: Crown Hunting and Final Online Cleanup
The two Gold trophies require a miniature gold crown and a giant gold crown for each of the 26 crown-bearing monsters in the launch roster. Post-launch monsters are not required. Use binoculars from close range before starting a hunt, since the correct crown icon appears beneath a qualifying monster's name.
Save every needed crown monster as an investigation before completing the hunt. The saved investigation preserves its size and can be shared with friends, which turns crown trading into the largest time-saving method in the Platinum. Track both sizes in the Hunting Log and work one monster at a time.
Finish any remaining multiplayer quests, Hunter Profile views, and follow requirement. The long online cleanup has more in common with repeatable co-op grinds in Helldivers 2 than with a single difficult challenge.

Missable Trophies in Monster Hunter Wilds
There are no missable trophies. Free roam remains available after the story, side missions stay accessible, and every crown-bearing monster can still be hunted. The only account-planning risk is splitting progress between characters, since Hunter Profile awards do not combine across save slots.
Crown Hunting in Monster Hunter Wilds
Miniature Crown Master and Giant Crown Master are the defining tasks. You need 52 gold crowns in total, split between the miniature and giant sizes of 26 launch monsters. The three fixed-size launch monsters and every monster added through a title update are outside the requirement.
Check Every Monster with Binoculars
Approach to roughly 50 metres and inspect the target with binoculars. A crown icon beneath its name confirms the size before you spend time fighting it. A Keen-eyed Observation unlocks as soon as you inspect a giant gold-crown monster.
Save and Trade Crown Investigations
Open the map's monster list and save a qualifying target as an investigation before the hunt ends. Friends can join that exact-size investigation and share their own saved crowns in return. A small crown-trading group can remove dozens of random resets from the route.
Combine Crowns with Other Counters
Capture crown targets whenever possible to progress Capture Pro. Prioritize tempered and apex versions when available to build Seasoned Hunter and Top of the Food Chain at the same time. This layered cleanup is similar to the efficient farming approach used in Diablo 4, where one activity can move several long-term goals.
Online and Co-op Trophies
Four trophies have direct online objectives. Eastward Wings makes the Platinum the fifth trophy classified as online.
Run quests with one other human player whenever possible. A two-hunter party keeps both Palicos active, allowing the same completions to count toward the 100 multiplayer quests and 100 Palico quests. Three or four hunters remove the Palicos, so larger groups only advance Hunters United Forever.
Gossip Hunter is quickest in a populated lobby or the Grand Hub. Open 30 different player entries and view each Hunter Profile. Newly Forged Bonds only needs one follow from the member list. No competitive wins, voice chat, or difficult co-op challenge is required.
General Tips for the Platinum
Capture Instead of Slaying
Carry both trap types and Tranq Bombs on routine hunts. Captures count toward Monster Slayer while also advancing Capture Pro, although certain monsters resist one trap type and a few cannot be captured. Restock through loadouts so every hunt starts ready.
Stack Tempered, Apex, and Rank Progress
High-level tempered apex investigations provide Hunter Rank, tempered hunt credit, apex hunt credit, monster hunt credit, money, and Artian parts in one activity. This is more efficient than grinding each counter separately. Players familiar with Elden Ring may expect build checks, but Wilds is primarily a time-management Platinum rather than a mechanical skill wall.
Finish Fishing Side Missions Early
Kanya's side missions unlock the specialist bait needed for later fish. Use the Tentacle Jig for the Goliath Squid during Downpour conditions in Scarlet Forest Area 17. The same lake is a reliable place to work on 30 whoppers, while Goldenfish and Platinumfish scales provide a simple route to 1,000,000 zenny.
Watch the Environment Overview
Several Rarity 6 special items appear during Emergence events. Mark the active gathering point from the Environment Overview, collect the item, and keep it in storage. Do not sell or trade the ten different qualifying items until Explorer of the Eastlands unlocks.
Hardest Monster Hunter Wilds Trophies and How to Get Them
Miniature Crown Master and Giant Crown Master
These trophies are difficult because monster sizes are random, not because the hunts are unusually demanding. Check with binoculars, save every missing size as an investigation, and trade exact-size hunts with other players. Maintain a simple 26-monster checklist so you never repeat a completed size by mistake.
Hunters United Forever
One hundred multiplayer quests becomes slow when left until the end. Pair with one regular partner from the story onward, keep the party at two hunters, and use short low-rank quests for any remaining completions. This also protects progress toward Someone Worth Following.
Explorer of the Eastlands
The trophy requires ten different Rarity 6 special items, not ten copies of one item. Check active Emergence events between hunts and keep every unique qualifying item. Waiting to farm all ten consecutively creates unnecessary weather and environment resets.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to Platinum Monster Hunter Wilds?
The Platinum takes around 75 to 100 hours. Crown trading and efficient two-player quest progress can reduce the total.
How hard is the Monster Hunter Wilds Platinum?
It is about 4-5/10. The challenge comes from repetition, crown luck, and online quest volume rather than difficult combat.
Are there missable trophies in Monster Hunter Wilds?
No. Every task can be completed after the story, but all trophies must be earned on the same character.
What is the main grind for the Platinum?
The main grind is collecting 52 crowns across 26 launch monsters, with one miniature gold crown and one giant gold crown required for each.
Can you trade crowns to speed up the Platinum?
Yes. Save a crown-bearing monster as an investigation and share that exact-size hunt with friends, then use their saved investigations for your missing crowns.
How many online trophies are there?
Five are classified as online when the Platinum is included. Four trophies have direct online objectives, including 100 multiplayer quests and viewing 30 Hunter Profiles.
Does Monster Hunter Wilds have difficulty trophies or New Game Plus requirements?
No. The game has no difficulty setting tied to trophies, and one continuous character save is enough for Eastward Wings.
Do title update monsters count toward the crown trophies?
No. Miniature Crown Master and Giant Crown Master use the 26 crown-bearing monsters from the launch roster.
Monster Hunter Wilds is a manageable Platinum when every hunt serves more than one counter, but crown and multiplayer cleanup can still take many sessions. Players who prefer help with the remaining grind can use the PlayStation trophy services for game-specific completion support.
