God of War Ragnarok Trophy Guide Quick Info
Spoiler note: Story bosses, postgame activities, and late-game locations are named below.
This page covers the 2022 sequel. The 2018 God of War trophy guide uses a separate trophy list, so progress does not carry between the two games.
God of War Ragnarok Platinum Roadmap
Phase 1: Play the Story
Complete the main story on any difficulty. Give Me Story is valid for every trophy, and you can change the setting whenever you need to. Most boss trophies unlock automatically, along with How it Started, Spartan Ways, and Ragnarök.
You do not need to clear every icon during the first visit to a realm. Many routes require story abilities, while some activities only appear after the ending. Pick up convenient chests and side quests, but avoid turning the campaign into a full cleanup run.
Nothing tied to the platinum is missable. Story-only spaces that close later contain no required collectibles, and important enemy drops move to the blue chest beside blacksmith shops when left behind. This makes Ragnarok more flexible than games in many other PlayStation trophy guides, where permanent choices can force another run.
Phase 2: Clear Collectibles Realm by Realm
After the story, use each realm and region completion panel to clear the remaining trophy requirements. Work through one region at a time so the map tracker immediately shows what is still missing.
There are 418 tracked collectibles and activities in the full completion route. You do not need every Lore entry or any Buried Treasure for the platinum. The four Lost Pages are the important exception because they unlock craftable Relics required for Collector.
Prioritize Artifacts, Kvasir's Poems, Nornir Chests, Legendary Chests containing Jewels of Yggdrasil, Odin's Ravens, Favors, Crater Hunts, Lindwyrms, seasonal Stags, Muspelheim Trials, Shields, and Berserker Gravestones. Like Ghost of Tsushima, the game keeps its major collectible cleanup available after the credits.
Phase 3: Finish Collector and the Hardest Bosses
Complete all 48 Odin's Ravens and defeat the Raven Keeper for one of the Relics. Clear every other Berserker Gravestone, then return to King's Grave for King Hrolf and the Hilt of Skofnung. Finish any remaining Relics, Sword Hilts, Crater Hunts, armor upgrades, and Muspelheim Trials.
Leave Hrolf and Gna until your gear is level 9. Fully upgrade your preferred weapons, armor, shield rond, companion accessories, runic attacks, and Relic. Buy a Resurrection Stone before each attempt. Once both optional bosses are defeated and all 14 Relics are in your inventory, the remaining cleanup should be minimal.

Collectibles Overview
The 418 total covers pickups, Favors, chests, combat encounters, and other map activities. The platinum is close to a 100 percent run, but the trophy list lets you ignore complete Lore and Buried Treasure cleanup.
Relics, Ravens, and Berserkers
Collector is usually the final collection trophy because several of its 14 Relics sit behind other systems. Four Relics must be crafted after finding the four Lost Pages. Another comes from the Raven Keeper encounter, which becomes available after destroying all 48 Odin's Ravens. The Hilt of Skofnung comes from King Hrolf after the other Berserker encounters are complete.
Check the Weapons menu rather than the realm map when troubleshooting Collector. A region can show 100 percent while a craftable Relic is still waiting at the blacksmith. Confirm that all four Lost Pages were collected, then inspect the shop for recipes and missing materials.
Chests, Artifacts, and Realm Favors
Full Belly requires all 35 Nornir Chests. How it's Going requires the seven collectible Jewels used to repair the Amulet. The Curator covers 38 Artifacts, while The Librarian tracks the 14 Kvasir's Poems within that broader cleanup.
Many side-quest trophies are short once their regions are open. The longer chains are the two Hafgufa Favors in Alfheim, the nine Crater Hunts in Vanaheim, all six Lindwyrms, the four Stags, and the Muspelheim Trials. I recommend completing Vanaheim's Crater before the final bosses because its hunts provide upgrade materials and Dragon Scaled Armor resources.
What You Can Skip
You can leave ordinary Lore markers and Buried Treasures unfinished. Do not treat every Lost Page as optional, since those four pages unlock Relic recipes. You also do not need Valhalla completion for the base platinum.
With no missables and no difficulty requirement, Ragnarok fits among easiest PlayStation platinums for mechanical difficulty, although its collectible volume still makes it a 40-50 hour commitment.
Hardest Bosses and How to Beat Them
Collector takes the most planning, but King Hrolf and Gna are the main mechanical difficulty spikes. Fight both on Give Me Story with level 9 gear if your goal is the fastest platinum.
King Hrolf
Hrolf combines attacks used by the earlier Berserkers, so the full Gravestone route also acts as practice. Enter with a Resurrection Stone, full Spartan Rage, upgraded runic attacks, and a Relic that suits your build. A balanced level 9 setup is more reliable than forcing a low-level damage build.
Respect the ring indicators. Shield strike blue-ring attacks, parry or evade yellow-ring attacks, and move away from red-ring attacks. Limit yourself to short punish windows because Hrolf can transition into an armored counter quickly. Companion arrows and a fast Relic help maintain pressure without locking Kratos into long animations.
The Miniboss Checkpoints accessibility option can reduce the restart cost, and accessibility settings do not block trophies. Grave Mistake also awards the Hilt of Skofnung needed for Collector.
Gna
Gna appears in the Muspelheim Crucible after the story. She is faster than Hrolf and punishes long combos, so keep the camera centered and attack in short bursts. Save a runic attack or Spartan Rage activation for moments when you need to interrupt pressure or recover control.
Dodge repeated aerial slams with deliberate timing rather than rolling continuously. Use shield strikes against blue-ring attacks and move clear of red-ring attacks instead of trying to block them. A Resurrection Stone gives you room for one late mistake, but learning the voice cues and attack chains is more important than raw damage.
The True Queen is commonly the hardest fight, while Collector is the broader trophy requirement that connects Ravens, Lost Pages, Relics, and Hrolf.
PS4 to PS5 Autopop
God of War Ragnarok supports one-way trophy autopop from PS4 to PS5. A completed PS4 platinum save can unlock all 36 base-game trophies, including The Bear and the Wolf, after the save is imported and loaded in the PS5 version.
Move the PS4 save to the PS5 console through PlayStation Plus cloud storage or USB, then launch the PS5 version and load the imported save. The transfer does not work in reverse from PS5 to PS4. Keep a backup before importing so your original save remains protected.
Valhalla uses its own progress and trophy pack. Its PS4 progress can also transfer to PS5, but those 12 trophies remain separate from the base platinum.
Valhalla DLC Trophies
Valhalla is a free roguelite epilogue with 12 separate trophies: 11 Bronze and 1 Silver. It has no Platinum and is not required for The Bear and the Wolf. The mode takes about 6-8 hours on the easiest setting, has no online trophies, and has no missables.
Each run sends Kratos through randomized combat rooms before a boss encounter. Death returns you to the Shore, while permanent upgrades make later attempts easier. Most trophies come through story progress, Mastery Quests, the Forum arena, Fleeting Echoes, cosmetic armor, and three Boat Captain Keys.
Valhalla contains major story spoilers for the base game, so finish Ragnarok first even though the mode can be launched from the title screen.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to platinum God of War Ragnarok?
God of War Ragnarok takes around 40-50 hours to platinum on Give Me Story, with roughly half spent on the campaign and half on postgame cleanup.
How hard is the God of War Ragnarok platinum?
The platinum is about 4-5 out of 10. Most trophies are straightforward, while King Hrolf and Gna create the main combat challenge.
Are there missable trophies in God of War Ragnarok?
No. You can return to every trophy-relevant area and complete all required Favors and collectibles after the story.
Do you need the Valhalla DLC for the platinum?
No. Valhalla has a separate 12-trophy pack and does not affect the 36-trophy base-game Platinum.
Can you autopop God of War Ragnarok trophies from a PS4 save?
Yes. Importing and loading a completed PS4 save in the PS5 version can autopop every base-game trophy, including the Platinum. The transfer is one-way from PS4 to PS5.
What is the hardest trophy in God of War Ragnarok?
Collector is the longest trophy because it requires all 14 Relics and connects to Ravens, Lost Pages, and King Hrolf. The True Queen is usually the hardest individual fight.
God of War Ragnarok's platinum is manageable once you leave full realm cleanup and the two level 9 bosses for the postgame. Players blocked by Gna, Hrolf, or the final collectible sweep can use DamnModz's God of War Ragnarok platinum trophy service for game-specific completion support.
