Quick Info
The First Berserker: Khazan Platinum Roadmap
Phase 1: Activate Trophies and Choose Your Route
Launch while connected to PSN and earn one trophy. After that registration, the remaining trophies can unlock offline.
For a one-playthrough route, choose Expert and never lower it. Do not summon a Spirit of Advocacy. Complete every bonus mission, collect all 15 Golden Collection Items, and take the true-ending choice. This combines The Expert's Journey, Standing Alone, and THE FIRST BERSERKER.
For a safer two-playthrough route, finish Expert with Spirits when needed and complete the collectibles, bonus missions, and true ending. Then clear a second journey on Beginner or Normal without a Spirit of Advocacy. Since the April 2025 patch, earlier-journey summons no longer invalidate Standing Alone.
Phase 2: Collectibles, Bonus Missions, and Side Stories
During the 16 main missions, break all 100 Soulstones, collect 44 Jarlings and 15 Golden Collection Items, speak to the Bard five times, and complete all 24 bonus missions.
Mission replay remains available if you continue the current journey instead of entering New Game+. The stamina-focused route resembles the Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty trophy guide, but Khazan adds stricter ending and summon conditions.
Phase 3: Final Mission, Ending, and Difficulty Reload
Before the final locked sequence, upload the autosave to PlayStation Plus cloud storage and disable automatic syncing.
For THE FIRST BERSERKER, collect all 15 Golden Collection Items and complete every bonus mission. In Master of Chaos, speak to Daphrona near the Corrupted Lounge Blade Nexus and choose I must know the truth. A correct route gives Ozma three phases. After the fight, close the diary prompt without opening its entries to avoid the older ending issue.
Finish on Expert first. Restore the backup, lower the difficulty to Beginner or Normal outside the final locked area, and complete the ending again for Challenger. Its occasional Expert unlock is inconsistent.
Phase 4: Second Journey and Final Cleanup
Start New Game+ for A New Path. On a two-run route, continue on Beginner or Normal without a Spirit of Advocacy and clean up miscellaneous trophies.
Difficulty, Endings and Playthrough Plan
The June 16, 2025 update renamed the original Easy setting to Normal and the original Normal setting to Expert. It also added Beginner and Hardcore. Older guides that tell you to finish on launch-era Normal are referring to what is now called Expert.
| Current Difficulty | Trophy Effect |
|---|---|
| Beginner | Valid for The Challenger's Journey |
| Normal | Valid for The Challenger's Journey |
| Expert | Required for The Expert's Journey. Never lower the setting during that journey |
| Hardcore | Optional post-Expert mode. Do not assume it substitutes for Expert |
Standing Alone forbids friendly golden Spirits of Advocacy. Hostile red Revenants of Adversity are allowed and can safely unlock Wandering Soul. Avoid every golden summon until the credits.

Collectibles Overview
Khazan has 161 trophy-relevant pickups. Mission replay keeps them available until New Game+.
Soulstones
Break all 100 red Soulstones with a weapon or Javelin for Agent of the Netherworld. They also fund Daphrona's permanent upgrades.
Jarlings
The 44 Jarlings appear in breakable jars after the Jar Enthusiast bonus mission. Danjin's final reward arrives at 42, but the trophy requires all 44.
Golden Collection Items and Other Pickups
All 15 Golden Collection Items unlock Ozma's Past and support the true ending. You also need one Collection Item, one Special Scroll, and one special craft. Ghost items and extra recipes are optional.
Boss Strategies
Maluca and the Midgame Skill Check
Maluca punishes weak stamina habits. Block or Brink Guard the sequence, then attack only while enough stamina remains to defend the response.
Learn which attacks to Brink Guard and which to dodge. Stamina breaks and Brutal Attacks are safer than damage trades.
Hismar
Hismar makes camera control the main problem. Wait for the head, use overhead or jumping attacks, and throw Javelins at the tusks for stagger opportunities. Punish a buried head briefly, then retreat.
Ozma
True-ending Ozma has three phases. Enter with upgraded healing, a complete set, useful attributes, and a familiar skill layout. Learn each phase before spending limited items.
Defend complete strings, use Spirit skills for clean stamina breaks, and save emergency healing for later phases. Boss-heavy progression also shapes the Black Myth: Wukong trophy guide, but Ozma can combine Expert with no summons.
General Tips and Build
Combat and Stamina
Stamina controls offense and defense. Stop attacking before it empties. Guard while learning, then use Brink Guards and dodges to create Brutal Attacks.
Weapon Choice and Equipment
All three weapons work. Dual Wield favors pressure and dodging, Greatsword rewards charged attacks and Brink Guards, and Spear offers reach with stamina damage. Spear is a practical all-round choice.
Prioritize set bonuses over small stat increases. Use Oksana to alter and inherit useful attributes, then save a general build and a boss variation through skill presets.
No-Summon Discipline
Golden summon mist voids Standing Alone for that journey. Red Revenants are allowed, so avoid every friendly summon until the trophy appears.
Glitch, Patch and Online-Boot Notes
The April 22, 2025 patch fixed The Hidden Laboratory and Undying Loyalty, plus the multi-condition tracking problem that affected The Order and Countless Tales after restarting the game. Current versions no longer require completing linked bonus missions in one uninterrupted session.
That patch also changed Standing Alone to evaluate the current playthrough rather than the whole save file. A clean second journey can therefore earn the trophy even when the first used summons. This is an important correction to older launch guides.
The June 16, 2025 update changed the difficulty names. Use the current on-screen labels in this guide. Expert is the trophy difficulty, while Beginner and Normal are the Challenger settings.
Khazan still has an unusual trophy registration requirement. Connect online, launch the game, and earn one trophy before relying on offline play. Keep the game updated before starting long bonus-mission or ending cleanup.
Missable Trophies in The First Berserker: Khazan
| Trophy | Why It Is Missable | Safe Method |
|---|---|---|
| Standing Alone | One friendly Spirit summon voids the current journey | Never interact with a golden summon point before the ending |
| The Expert's Journey | Lowering from Expert prevents the Expert clear | Start on Expert and keep it unchanged until the credits |
| The Challenger's Journey | Expert is not a reliable unlock condition | Finish on Beginner or Normal, using a backup or second journey |
| THE FIRST BERSERKER | Missing the Golden Items, side content, or Daphrona choice changes the ending | Complete all bonus missions and 15 Golden Items, then choose I must know the truth |
For collectible cleanup, choose continue the current journey after the ending instead of entering New Game+ immediately.
Hardest Trophies and How to Get Them
Standing Alone
Standing Alone removes boss assistance for an entire journey. The easier approach is an Expert run with summons, followed by a Beginner or Normal journey without them. Current-playthrough tracking makes this valid.
For a one-run attempt, buy every Soulstone upgrade, maintain a full set, and save rare consumables for consistent final attempts.
The Expert's Journey
Choose Expert at the opening and never lower it. Hardcore offers no trophy benefit. Build survivability and invest materials in one weapon.
Khazan belongs among the hardest PlayStation platinums because boss execution, not an online grind, gates completion.
THE FIRST BERSERKER
Before Master of Chaos, complete 24 bonus missions and collect 15 Golden Collection Items. Back up the save, choose I must know the truth, confirm three Ozma phases, and close the diary prompt after battle.
The route is less forgiving than the Dark Souls 2 trophy guide because one incorrect final choice can force New Game+.
Frequently Asked Questions
How hard is the Khazan platinum?
It is about 8/10 in one Expert no-summon run. Splitting Expert and Standing Alone across two journeys lowers the practical difficulty to around 6/10.
How long does it take to platinum The First Berserker: Khazan?
Expect roughly 55 to 60 hours with a collectible route and planned ending setup.
How many playthroughs are needed to platinum Khazan?
One is possible with Expert, no summons, the true ending, and a cloud reload for Challenger. Two journeys are easier and safer.
Are there missable trophies in Khazan?
Yes. Standing Alone, The Expert's Journey, The Challenger's Journey, and THE FIRST BERSERKER can require another journey when their conditions are missed.
Does difficulty affect trophies in Khazan?
Yes. The Expert's Journey requires Expert, while The Challenger's Journey requires Beginner or Normal. Hardcore should not be used as a substitute.
What is the hardest trophy in Khazan?
Standing Alone is the hardest because you must reach an ending without summoning a Spirit of Advocacy during that journey.
Why are my Khazan trophies not unlocking offline?
The list must first register online. Launch while connected to PSN and earn one trophy, after which offline trophies should track normally.
Khazan's platinum is manageable when the difficulty, summon, and ending requirements are separated before the first mission. Players who prefer support with the final cleanup can use DamnModz PlayStation trophy services for trophy and platinum help.
DamnModz supports PlayStation games with Platinum trophies. Choose the game and tell us what remains on your list.
