Starfield Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Starfield Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 0: Two rules before you start
Never complete the main quest One Giant Leap without a manual save you are happy to reload. The game does not warn you and finishing it wipes almost everything.
Begin working on Starcrossed from your first hours. Maximum companion relationship takes around 40 hours of playtime, so it cannot be left to the end.
Play on Very Easy if you like. Nothing is difficulty gated, and modifiers do not disable trophies.
Phase 1: Main story, stopping short of the ending
Play the main story but stop before One Giant Leap. Everything else has to be finished on this save.
Build your companion relationship continuously toward Starcrossed. Sarah Morgan and Andreja are both confirmed to work.
Collect the 20 Skill Magazines as you travel. They look like books and show a blue outline when scanned.
Bank the exploration trophies naturally, landing on uncharted worlds and discovering locations.
Phase 2: All four faction questlines
Complete all four faction questlines. This is roughly 25 hours and none are missable in themselves.
Do the UC Vanguard line before finishing the main story. If you complete the ending first, that entire questline resets and has to be replayed.
Joining a faction is not enough, you need to complete every quest they offer.
Phase 3: Outposts, crafting, ships and misc
Work the miscellaneous block, roughly 20 hours. Outposts, crafting, ship building, weapon mods and companion tasks.
For vendor-dependent crafting, buy what you need, then sleep or wait 24 hours and return to find stock replenished.
To remove an outpost, walk close to the Outpost Beacon until the Rename prompt appears without opening the scanner or build menu, then hold to remove it.
Phase 4: Level 100 and the platinum
Level 100 is the longest single requirement and most players will not be close after one full pass.
Raise individual difficulty settings under Gameplay Options. They do not disable trophies and they increase XP earned, with the multiplier shown in the menu.
New Game Plus is the efficient route here, since level and perks are the only things that carry over anyway.
This is where a 50 hour game becomes a 75 hour platinum. One soft mention of DamnModz fits here, then back to XP routes.
Save before One Giant Leap, complete it for the final story trophy, then reload if anything is still outstanding.
Phase 5: The DLC sets, for 100 percent only
Not required for the platinum. Lead with that.
Shattered Space adds 12 separate trophies and Terran Armada around 20.
Verify the DLC missable list before starting. It currently exists only in a PSNProfiles forum thread and the advice there is to avoid New Game Plus entirely.

Save Before One Giant Leap
The first thing on the page, boxed. Completing the final main quest automatically starts New Game Plus, which deletes all missions, side quests, inventory, relationships, starships, outposts, exploration progress, discovered systems and crewmates. Only your level and perks survive. The game does not warn you and there is no point of no return prompt. Make a manual save before that mission, complete it for the story trophy, then reload.
Efficient route
One True Missable, Not Fifty
Starcrossed is the only genuine missable, needing maximum relationship with a companion. Two more are tagged missable only because recovering them means replaying large portions. Everything else is a save-management problem, not a permanent loss.

The Fastest Route to Level 100
Gameplay modifiers under Settings then Gameplay Options do not disable trophies, and raising individual difficulty settings increases the XP you earn, with the multiplier displayed in the menu. Most players will not be halfway to 100 after finishing everything once, so New Game Plus plus modifiers is the efficient route.

Shattered Space adds 12 trophies and Terran Armada around 20, launched alongside the PS5 version on 7 April 2026. Neither is required for the platinum. The DLC missable list currently exists only in a PSNProfiles forum thread, so verify it and publish it properly.
No Console Commands on PS5
Unlike PC, there is no console, so PC guides that reference commands do not apply. Worth one line since much of the older Starfield content is PC-first.

Starfield Missable, Glitched, and Difficulty Notes
- One true missable, Starcrossed, for maximum relationship with a companion. It needs around 40 hours of playtime so it has to be started early.
- The bigger hazard is not a missable at all. Completing the main quest One Giant Leap automatically begins New Game Plus and deletes all missions, side quests, inventory, relationships, starships, outposts, exploration progress, discovered systems and crewmates.
- Only your level and perks carry into New Game Plus. Everything else is reset.
- The game gives no point of no return warning and does not tell you the ending is happening. It does keep multiple autosaves, so reloading immediately after the credits is possible, but a deliberate manual save is the reliable answer.
- Two further trophies are tagged as missable, including the UC Vanguard line, because recovering them means replaying large portions rather than because they are lost permanently.
- Difficulty does not affect trophies. Very Easy is fine, and the individual gameplay modifiers do not void anything while increasing XP earned.
- There are no online trophies and no glitched trophies reported.
- Neither DLC is required for the platinum. The DLC missable list is currently only documented in a forum thread, so verify it before covering it.
- PS5 has no console commands, so PC-oriented guidance about commands does not apply.
