Inside the Tulip at Waning Sands

Jason and Lucia make their Trailer 1 getaway in a red four-door Declasse Tulip. At 1:10 its long bonnet, squared-off tail and Chevelle-inspired wheels come into view. The pink two-door car on oversized wheels at Stockyard is a Tulip M-100 instead.
Watch the cabin first, then the outside of the car. The getaway sequence ties the two together.

From the front seats, the dashboard fills the lower edge of the frame. Through the windshield you can see the road ahead.

The red four-door leaves the store in a cloud of dust. Two seconds later the camera passes close enough to pick out the script on the trunk.

The pair share a quieter moment on the road at sunset. The long red sedan is the four-door Tulip, not the M-100.

The camera follows Jason to the red four-door and shows how he gets inside. This view gives a good look at the roofline and rear doors.

The Tulip is outside the diner as the light fades. That makes the sequence a place to spot the car on screen, not a promise of a permanent spawn.
The GTA 6 Tulip preserves the broad four-door roof, long bonnet and squared-off rear of the GTA Online original. Its most recognisable refinements echo the early-1970s Chevrolet models that inspired it.

The GTA Online Declasse Tulip is a four-seat, rear-wheel-drive Muscle sedan with a long front end, a wide body and a short rear deck.

The red GTA 6 Tulip keeps the four-door sedan profile. Its wheels echo the 1971 to 1972 Chevelle SS, and the rear carries the “Tulip by Declasse” badge.
That badge plays on Chevrolet’s period “Chevelle by Chevrolet” script, while the wheels borrow the sporting look of the SS without changing the car into a two-door coupe.

The standard Tulip is a four-door family-sized Muscle sedan. The Tulip M-100 is a distinct two-door based on a later Chevrolet Malibu, even though both wear the Declasse name.
| Model | Real-car styling basis | GTA Online body and seats | GTA 6 appearance | Model distinction |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tulip | 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sedan | Four doors, four seats | Jason and Lucia’s red car in Trailer 1, including 1:00 and 1:10 | Original four-door Tulip |
| Tulip M-100 | Fourth-generation Chevrolet Malibu | Two doors, two seats | Pink car on oversized donk wheels at Stockyard at 0:28 in Trailer 1 | Separate two-door model |
In the Stockyard shot, the pink Tulip M-100 appears beside a Granger 3600LX and a Jubilee. Those neighbouring SUVs and the oversized wheels belong to the M-100 scene, not to the red Tulip getaway car.
Door count is the quickest way to tell the two apart. Jason and Lucia’s Tulip has four side doors and a sedan roof. The M-100 has only two doors and a shorter, later Malibu-inspired body. They also have separate GTA Online prices and speed figures.
The Declasse Tulip is primarily based on the 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu four-door sedan. Its long, squared-off nose, broad shoulder line and practical four-door cabin set it apart from the more famous two-door Chevelle performance versions.
Some of the Tulip’s panels and trim also recall the 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. That mix fits Rockstar’s habit of combining familiar American designs rather than copying one exact trim from a single model year.
The GTA 6 wheels reference 1971 to 1972 Chevelle SS styling, while the “Tulip by Declasse” rear badge makes a joke of the “Chevelle by Chevrolet” badging used on the real cars. The body itself remains a Malibu-style four-door.
A real 1972 Chevelle was sold with different engines and configurations, so one period top-speed figure would be misleading. Declasse is fictional, and the Tulip is not a licensed Chevrolet or Oldsmobile.
The Declasse Tulip returned to general sale in GTA Online with Rockstar’s Title Update 1.73. The four-door muscle car originally cost $718,000 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos and had been withdrawn from regular sales in June 2023.
Premium Deluxe Motorsport has also offered the Tulip in its rotating stock. A showroom week is no longer the only opportunity to buy it.
Its four seats and old-school rear-wheel-drive character distinguish it from most two-door Muscle cars. The GTA Online Tulip reaches 112.25 mph when fully upgraded and records a 1:09.904 lap, slower than the standard Dominator in both measured tests.
The Tulip was added to GTA Online rather than the original GTA 5 story-mode vehicle roster. Its role in the GTA 6 robbery footage does not establish a corresponding GTA 6 shop, price or spawn around Port Gellhorn.
GTA 6 Tulip top speed: At launch. The original four-door Tulip tests at 112.25 mph when fully upgraded in GTA Online, a figure that does not describe the GTA 6 getaway car.
The GTA Online result is a measured speed for a modified game vehicle. There is no like-for-like real 1972 Chevelle Malibu maximum to add, and the fastest GTA 6 cars guide keeps older test data apart from GTA 6 performance.
Compare the fastest GTA 6 carsThe Tulip started as a four-seat GTA Online Muscle car in 2019, disappeared from permanent online dealership listings and later became a recurring vehicle in Jason and Lucia’s GTA 6 footage.
The main styling reference is the 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu four-door sedan, with some 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme details. Declasse is fictional and the car is not a licensed Chevrolet.
A red four-door Declasse Tulip. Trailer 1 shows its interior at 1:00 and the robbery getaway drive at 1:10. They also drive a Tulip at sunset in Trailer 2 at 2:33.
Yes. Rockstar brought the four-door Declasse Tulip back to general sale in GTA Online with Title Update 1.73. Its original Southern San Andreas Super Autos price was $718,000. The Tulip M-100 is a different, two-door car.
The original Tulip is a four-door, four-seat Chevelle Malibu-inspired sedan. The M-100 is a separate two-door, two-seat car based on a later Chevrolet Malibu. The pink car on oversized wheels at Stockyard at 0:28 in Trailer 1 is the M-100, not the red getaway Tulip.
GTA 6 top speed: At launch. The fully upgraded four-door Tulip has a tested GTA Online maximum of 112.25 mph (180.65 km/h).
