The white Übermacht Cypher is parked at the Crosstown street takeover at 0:46 in GTA 6 Trailer 1. Look closely at the BMW M2-shaped coupe: the door handles now match the body, and the rear lamps appear to have changed.
Crosstown gives you the side view. The wet circuit gives you the rear. The silver car with TAKIO lettering in the race is a Fathom FR36, not a second Cypher.

The Cypher is parked beside other tuned cars at the Vice City street takeover, near the civilian Buffalo STX.

The white coupe seen from behind on the wet circuit is the Cypher. The silver TAKIO-liveried FR36 ahead is a different car.
The Cypher still has the proportions of a compact, muscular BMW-style coupe. Small exterior revisions include body-colored door handles and updated-looking rear lights, which sit within a recognisably similar shape.

The GTA Online version has dark door handles, a compact roofline and M2-style rear shoulders. Its original taillight design is the reference for the returning car.

The Crosstown car has body-colored handles, while the white coupe shown from behind on the wet circuit has revised-looking taillights. Its familiar rear proportions still distinguish it from the FR36 ahead.
The Cypher shares its fictional German marque with coupes, a convertible, an SUV and older Sentinel models. Their GTA 6 appearances should be read as separate vehicles rather than alternate Cypher trims.
| Übermacht model | GTA 6 status | Distinctive role |
|---|---|---|
| Cypher | Seen in Trailer 1 and An Extended Look | Compact BMW M2-style coupe. |
| Zion | Seen | Different Übermacht coupe. |
| Zion Cabrio | Seen | Open-top Zion, not a Cypher. |
| Rebla GTS | Seen | Larger Übermacht SUV. |
| Unnamed Sentinel Classic cabriolet | Seen, unnamed | Open-top body with Sentinel Classic styling. |
| Revolter | Not yet seen | Separate four-door model. |
| Sentinel XS | Not yet seen | Different Sentinel model. |
| Sentinel Classic | Not yet seen as the standard coupe | Closed-roof model distinct from the cabriolet. |
| Rhinehart | Not yet seen | Wagon-style Übermacht. |
The Cypher Drift Tune is a GTA Online handling setup for the regular Cypher, not a new body shape. It retains the familiar road-car appearance while adding drifting behavior and six exclusive liveries in GTA Online.
The unnamed Sentinel Classic-style cabriolet is another important distinction. Its open roof does not mean the standard Sentinel Classic coupe or the older Sentinel XS has also appeared in GTA 6 footage.
The first-generation BMW M2 Coupé (F87) is the Cypher’s closest real-world match. The F87 code belongs to the compact original M2, whereas F97 refers to the very different BMW X3 M.
The original M2’s swollen rear arches, compact cabin and two-door proportions all echo through the Cypher. Other visual touches resemble later BMW models, including second-generation 8 Series headlights and the M5 F90’s rear lighting, but the base car remains closest to the F87 M2.
BMW specifies 370 hp for the original real M2, with a three-litre straight-six and rear-wheel drive. GTA Online also gives the fictional Cypher rear-wheel drive, but the game car’s weight, gearbox and measured pace are independent of BMW’s figures.
Übermacht is a fictional marque, not licensed BMW branding. Its names may also hide a pop-culture joke: Cypher is a character in The Matrix, while Zion is the human city in the same films. The resemblance is suggestive rather than an official naming explanation.
The Cypher joined GTA Online during Los Santos Tuners and remains more appealing as a stylish tuner and drift car than as a pure top-speed machine. Its ordinary Sports-class test figures apply to the standard setup.
The trade price is not a reward for buying one particular upgrade. LS Car Meet reputation unlocks Tuners trade prices at intervals, and the car awarded a lower price is random. A membership is needed before that progression can be used.
At 113.50 mph fully upgraded, the standard Cypher has modest pace by Sports-class standards. Its appeal lies in the F87-inspired body, customisation and the separate Drift Tune. Drifting handling should not be compared with the ordinary configuration’s top-speed or lap result.
Legendary Motorsport calls the Cypher “powerful, intimidating and a little sadistic.” In measured GTA Online performance, however, the standard car’s 1:04.231 lap is a more useful guide than its sales pitch.
The GTA Online Drift Tune, lowered stance and low-grip tyres are distinct modifications. None of those existing options establishes which upgrades will be offered for the Cypher in GTA 6.
GTA 6 top speed: At launch. The fully upgraded standard Cypher reaches 113.50 mph in GTA Online, while the 168 mph real BMW figure belongs to a separate manufacturer specification.
BMW’s 168 mph claim applies to the real F87 M2 with the optional M Driver’s Package. The GTA Online Cypher’s 113.50 mph was measured in a different vehicle and game. Neither number can be treated as a GTA 6 prediction.
The Cypher has Drift Tuning in GTA Online, but that modifies its driving character rather than producing an HSW top-speed version. The fastest-cars guide covers performance comparisons without mixing real-car claims with game tests.
Compare the fastest GTA 6 carsThe Cypher first arrived in GTA Online as a Los Santos Tuners coupe and later became a Drift Tuning option. Two official GTA 6 appearances follow that history.
The white wet-circuit Cypher has no connection to the TAKIO livery on the FR36 immediately ahead. GTA Online’s Drift Tune remains an older-game feature, even though the model has now appeared in a GTA 6 racing sequence.
The Cypher is chiefly styled on the first-generation BMW M2 Coupé (F87), with some cues from other BMW designs. Übermacht is fictional, so the Cypher is not a licensed BMW.
Yes. It appears at the Crosstown takeover in Trailer 1 at 0:46 and as the white coupe seen from behind on the wet circuit in An Extended Look at 17:42. The silver TAKIO-liveried car ahead is an FR36.
In GTA Online, the Cypher costs $1,550,000 at Legendary Motorsport. The $1,162,500 trade price unlocks through LS Car Meet reputation.
GTA 6 top speed: At launch. A fully upgraded standard Cypher reaches 113.50 mph (182.66 km/h) in GTA Online, where it sits low in the Sports class.
Yes. GTA Online has offered Cypher Drift Tuning since the Bottom Dollar Bounties update in June 2024. GTA 6 tuning availability: At launch.
