Beyond: Two Souls Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Beyond: Two Souls Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 0: Understand the conflict and the dependency
Saved All and A Better World require opposite outcomes and cannot both be achieved in the same run of those scenes.
All Endings requires reaching the epilogue having saved all characters, so it is gated behind Saved All specifically.
Scene select exists, so plan a full first playthrough followed by targeted replays rather than multiple complete runs.
If you intend the Duo mode completion trophy, remember the mode must be re-enabled every time you load.
Phase 1: First playthrough, saving everyone
Play through aiming for Saved All, saving every character who can be saved, since All Endings depends on it.
Collect the 22 bonuses as you go for Explorer, though scene select can recover any you miss.
In The Condenser, watch the memories of all eight dead researchers and reach the end without being defeated by the spirits.
In Homeless, talk to the guitarist across the street and play the guitar to earn the chocolate dinner money, and destroy the supermarket camera before opening the door.
Take one of Perfect Lover or Casual Girl in the date scene, and pick up the stealth and Aiden-specific trophies as they arise.
Phase 2: All Endings from the Saved All state
Reach the epilogue holding the Saved All state, then work through every available ending.
Verify the save management position at the start of the Black Sun chapter before committing, since a forum thread raises it as a concern.
Use scene select to return to the ending branch rather than replaying the game for each one.
This is where the platinum is won or lost. One soft mention of DamnModz fits here.
Phase 3: A Better World and the opposite outcomes
Now take A Better World, making all of the characters die and going with them into the Infraworld.
Pick up whichever of Perfect Lover or Casual Girl you did not take on your first run.
Clean up any remaining chapter-specific trophies with scene select, using the chronological ordering option if you find it easier.
Sweep any of the 22 bonuses still outstanding.
Phase 4: Duo mode
Launch a scene in Duo mode for the first Duo trophy, which is trivial.
For the full two player completion, enable Duo mode and re-enable it every single time you load the game.
Forgetting once means that stretch of progress does not count, so make it part of your loading routine.
Guide notes
Saved All and A Better World Are Opposites
First section after the Quick Info box. Saved All requires you to save every character who can be saved. A Better World requires the exact reverse, making all of the characters die and then going with them into the Infraworld. These are the two trophies gamepressure names as the most problematic and complex in the game, and they cannot coexist in a single run of the relevant scenes. That conflict is what dictates the whole plan.
Guide notes
All Endings Is Gated Behind Saved All
To earn All Endings you must reach the epilogue having already saved all the characters, which means holding the Saved All state, and then select every one of the available endings. So All Endings is not independent, it sits downstream of Saved All. That ordering determines which run you take each trophy on, and getting it wrong means replaying the endgame.
Guide notes
Re-enable Duo Mode Every Time You Load
There are two Duo mode trophies, one for simply launching a scene in Duo mode and one for completing the game in two player mode. The trap is that the mode must be re-enabled each time before you load the game. Forget once partway through and that progress does not count toward the full playthrough trophy. A setting that silently resets on load, attached to a trophy requiring a complete run, deserves its own warning.
Guide notes
Scene Select Makes This Manageable
You can choose which scene to jump to, which means the branching trophies do not require full playthroughs. Combined with the fact that many trophies are single-chapter and depend on a specific in-scene action, the efficient approach is a full first playthrough followed by targeted scene replays rather than multiple complete runs.
Efficient route
The Chapter-Specific Trophies
Group these by chapter, since scene select is how they get cleaned up. In The Condenser you must watch the memories of eight dead researchers, and separately reach the end without being defeated by the spirits so you can destroy the condenser. In Homeless, cross the street and talk to the guitarist, then play the guitar to earn enough money for a chocolate dinner, and destroy the supermarket camera before opening the door. Elsewhere, reach the cathedral without being spotted, and in The Dinner destroy objects to ruin Jodie's date.
Perfect Lover and Casual Girl Conflict
Perfect Lover requires cooking a meal, cleaning the apartment, showering, wearing the elegant dress and putting on music. Casual Girl requires ordering a pizza, watching TV and wearing something casual. They occupy the same scene and cannot both be done in one pass, so scene select handles the second.
The 22 Bonuses
Explorer requires finding all 22 bonuses across the game. Give locations by chapter so they can be swept with scene select rather than hunted blind on a first playthrough.
The Chronological Order Option
On PS4 and PC you can set the scenes to run chronologically rather than in the game's default shuffled timeline. Guides advise against it for a first playthrough since it undermines the intended storytelling, but it is genuinely useful on a trophy cleanup run when you want predictable ordering.
Not Heavy Rain or Detroit
Our Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human briefs cover the other two Quantic Dream branching narratives, and Beyond appears alongside Heavy Rain in a PS4 collection.

- Saved All and A Better World require opposite outcomes and cannot both be achieved in the same run of those scenes.
- All Endings requires reaching the epilogue having saved all the characters, so it is gated behind the Saved All state specifically.
- The Duo mode two player completion trophy requires re-enabling that mode every single time you load the game, or the progress does not count.
- Perfect Lover and Casual Girl occupy the same scene and cannot both be taken in one pass.
- Scene select is available, so most trophies are recoverable through targeted replays rather than full playthroughs.
- In The Condenser you must watch the memories of eight dead researchers, and separately avoid being defeated by the spirits to reach the end.
- Explorer requires all 22 bonuses, which scene select can recover.
- The PS4 and PC versions allow chronological scene ordering, which is useful for cleanup but not recommended for a first playthrough.
- A save management question at the start of the Black Sun chapter has been raised in relation to All Endings. Verify before relying on any approach there.
- PS3 and PS4 have separate lists, and the PS4 version also appears in the Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls Collection.
Quick answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you get Saved All and A Better World in one playthrough?
No. Saved All requires saving every character who can be saved, while A Better World requires all of them to die and you to follow them into the Infraworld. They are direct opposites.
How do you get the All Endings trophy?
Reach the epilogue having already saved all the characters, which means holding the Saved All state, then select every available ending. All Endings is gated behind Saved All rather than being independent.
Why isn't my Duo mode trophy unlocking?
The mode must be re-enabled every single time you load the game. If you forgot at any point during your run, that stretch of progress will not count toward the full two player completion.
Does Beyond Two Souls have scene select?
Yes, which means most trophies can be cleaned up with targeted replays rather than multiple full playthroughs. That is what makes the conflicting outcome trophies manageable.
How many bonuses are in Beyond Two Souls?
22, all needed for the Explorer trophy. They can be recovered with scene select if you miss them on your first playthrough.
Can you play Beyond Two Souls in chronological order?
On PS4 and PC, yes. Guides advise against it for a first playthrough since it works against the intended storytelling, but it is useful for a trophy cleanup run.
What do you need to do in The Condenser chapter?
Watch the memories of all eight dead researchers, and separately avoid being defeated by the spirits so you can reach the end and destroy the condenser.
Do Beyond Two Souls trophies stack on PS3 and PS4?
They are separate lists, so both platinums are available. The PS4 version also appears in the Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls Collection.
