Monster Hunter Rise Trophies at a Glance
| Trophy Set | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base Game | 38 | 9 | 2 | 1 | 50 |
| Sunbreak DLC | 40 | 6 | 4 | 0 | 50 |
| Full List | 78 | 15 | 6 | 1 | 100 |
All cumulative progress should be kept on one character. Trophy requirements are represented by awards on that character's Guild Card, so splitting hunts, quests, crowns, and collections across separate hunters can force you to repeat large parts of the grind.
Efficient route
Monster Hunter Rise Platinum Roadmap
Phase 1: Complete the Village Story and Start Every Passive Grind
Complete Back to Basics, advance the Village quests through Magnamalo, and use this early section to establish the habits that save the most time later.
Play the lottery whenever a sale appears. Keep five Optional Subquests active. Send the Meowcenaries after every return. Hire Buddies regularly and make sure you have all five Palico support types. Ride your Palamute, collect Spiribugs and Hunting Helpers, photograph new creatures, and activate camps or Great Wirebugs whenever a hunt takes you near them.
You do not need to complete every Village quest immediately. The priority is reaching the story milestones while allowing the long counters to build naturally.
Phase 2: Clear Low Rank Hub and Progress Through High Rank
Complete all 38 Low Rank Hub quests, then move through the Apex Arzuros Rampage, Wind Serpent Ibushi, and Thunder Serpent Narwa. High Rank begins after The Blue Apex and opens the equipment, fish, monsters, and quests needed for most of the remaining list.
Slay every Apex monster during a Rampage at least once. Repelling the Apex or merely clearing the defense is not enough to unlock its standard Hub quest. The six Apex targets are Arzuros, Rathian, Mizutsune, Rathalos, Diablos, and Zinogre.
Begin forging Rarity 7 armor and the eight weapons needed in each of the 14 weapon classes for Master's Black Belt. You can leave the full 50-Rampage count until you have endgame equipment.
Phase 3: Reach HR100 and Complete Every Required Quest
Remove the Hunter Rank cap, continue to HR100, and clear every High Rank Hub quest. This includes 16 quests at 4-star, 16 at 5-star, 16 at 6-star, and 42 at 7-star. Clear every newly unlocked Apex hunt and defeat Crimson Glow Valstrax in The Evil Star from Beyond.
Finish the last 6-star Village quest, Advanced: The Veterans' Gala. Complete all six base Arena Quests at any rank, then clear Advanced: Those Crowned Apexes and the two Petalace quests.
Once this phase is complete, every monster and major quest needed for the Platinum is available.
Phase 4: Finish Collections, Buddies, and Village Systems
Collect all 60 Relic Records, catch all 19 fish, photograph the 32 endemic life forms, unlock all eight sub-camps, and activate every Great Wirebug point. Finish Dango recipes, Palamute gear, Cohoot outfits, Switch Skills, layered armor, and Kamura conversations.
Raise one Palico of each support type to level 50. Keep unused Palicoes in the Buddy Dojo while your active Buddy gains experience from hunts.
For Sturdy Padlock, hunt every required monster 10 times to unlock its Argosy scroll, buy every scroll, claim the 12 relic carvings, and play every available lottery until all 12 lottery trinkets are obtained.
Phase 5: Hunt Crowns and Clean Up the Final Counters
Crown hunting should be the last major phase because it naturally advances the 1,000-monster total, 50 quests per map, zenny, Kamura Points, and many smaller counters.
Register both gold crown sizes for all 43 eligible monsters. Use guaranteed event quests first, then measure targets in High Rank or Master Rank quests. If you own Sunbreak, its Master Rank quests usually give better crown odds for base monsters and stronger gear shortens each hunt.
Finish any remaining Rampages, Spiribugs, Hunting Helpers, Palamute riding time, Wiredashes, Wyvern Rides, or map quest totals after the crown list is complete.
Guide notes
Does Difficulty or New Game Plus Affect Monster Hunter Rise Trophies?
Monster Hunter Rise has no selectable difficulty and no traditional New Game Plus mode. Every quest remains replayable, every base map stays available, and all unfinished collection work can be completed after the story.
Unlike Elden Ring, Rise does not require multiple endings or a save-based route. Its challenge comes from learning hunts efficiently and keeping hundreds of cumulative actions on one character.
Sunbreak is not required for Badge of Excellence. It can still make the base Platinum easier because Master Rank equipment speeds up older hunts and Master Rank quests generally have better crown rates.
Guide notes
Monster Hunter Rise Crown Hunting Guide
What Counts for Mini Crown Plaque and Gold Crown Plaque?
The base Platinum requires 43 miniature gold crowns and 43 large gold crowns, for 86 gold crown records in total. Silver crowns do not count.
Wind Serpent Ibushi, Thunder Serpent Narwa, and Narwa the Allmother have no crown records and are excluded. The required group contains 37 regular or elder monsters plus all six Apex monsters.
| Crown Requirement | Count |
|---|---|
| Crown-capable base monsters | 43 |
| Miniature gold crowns | 43 |
| Large gold crowns | 43 |
| Total gold crown records | 86 |
| Excluded monsters | Ibushi, Narwa, and Narwa the Allmother |
The crown loop is also central to Monster Hunter Wilds, although Rise has a larger base target set and no binocular icon that confirms size before a hunt.
Efficient Crown Route
- Finish HR100 and unlock every normal Apex hunt before focused crown farming.
- Hunt each required monster 10 times for its Sturdy Padlock scroll before resetting non-crown sizes.
- Clear event quests that guarantee a mini crown, large crown, or both.
- Use multi-monster quests when possible because each target has less health.
- Measure the monster on flat ground with a consistent reference such as a trap, barrel bomb, or known body landmark.
- Kill or capture a likely crown, then choose Return from Quest if other targets remain. Do not choose Abandon Quest because that discards the crown record.
Most base High Rank crown quests give roughly a 3 percent chance for each gold size. Sunbreak Master Rank quests commonly raise those odds to about 6 percent for mini crowns and 10 percent for large crowns. Exact rates vary by quest, and guaranteed event quests should always be cleared first.
Rampage quests are not a crown-farming route. Use standard Hub, event, or Master Rank quests where the monster is a listed target.
Sunbreak and Co-op Advantages
Sunbreak gear can cut base hunt times sharply, and its Master Rank quests can award base-monster crowns at better rates. You still need the same 43 mini and 43 large base crowns for the Platinum.
Co-op is optional, but a group can split up to check target sizes and call the others over when a likely crown appears. Every player who finishes the hunt can receive the record. For multi-monster quests, defeat the crown target and use Return from Quest if the remaining targets are not needed.
Guide notes
Collectibles and Long-Term Tracking
| Requirement | Count | Best Time to Work on It |
|---|---|---|
| Base sub-camps | 8 | Discover them during story and High Rank hunts |
| Base Relic Records | 60 | Clear by map once all traversal tools are available |
| Fish species | 19 | Finish after High Rank expeditions unlock |
| Hunting Helper photos | 18 | Photograph each new helper before collecting it |
| Rare creature photos | 5 | Visit the correct map, location, and time condition |
| Total endemic life photos | 32 | Combine the 27 regular and five rare creatures |
| Room decorations and scrolls | 73 | Start lottery attempts immediately and finish after 10 hunts per monster |
| Arena Quests | 6 | Any clear rank is enough |
| Palico support types at level 50 | 5 | Use the Buddy Dojo throughout the roadmap |
| Rampage completions | 50 | Save bulk farming for endgame gear |
| Large monsters hunted | 1,000 | Let quest and crown cleanup supply most of the total |
| Wiredashes | 1,000 | Use Wirebugs constantly during normal travel |
| Golden or Gilded Spiribugs | 1,000 | Collect them on every route rather than grinding from zero |
The Sturdy Padlock collection is the only one with heavy randomness. Its 73 items consist of 49 Argosy scrolls, 12 carvings from Relic Records, and 12 lottery trinkets. A sale's lottery result is fixed when it appears, so saving and reloading does not reroll the prize.
Guide notes
General Tips for the Monster Hunter Rise Platinum
Start These Habits Immediately
- Play the lottery at every market sale, even when you are focused on the story.
- Keep five Optional Subquests active and replace completed ones after every return.
- Send Meowcenaries whenever a route finishes.
- Hire Buddies until Thank-mew Letter unlocks, with all five Palico support types represented.
- Keep four non-active Palico types training in the Buddy Dojo.
- Ride your Palamute between targets and remain mounted while managing menus when practical.
- Photograph new endemic life before collecting or disturbing it.
- Collect Golden and Gilded Spiribugs along normal routes.
Combat and Build Efficiency
There is no required weapon class or build for the Platinum. Use the weapon you clear hunts with most consistently, then build a second loadout only if it materially improves a repeated target.
Capture eligible monsters when it shortens a hunt because captures count toward the 1,000-monster total. Multi-monster quests are also efficient since each monster has reduced health and can contribute to crowns, map totals, money, and hunt counts in one run.
For Advanced: Those Crowned Apexes, upgrade armor fully, eat for defensive skills, collect enough Spiribirds to avoid one-hit failures, and use Farcasters to reset supplies when needed. The quest is demanding, but it is far shorter than the collection grind.
Guide notes
Online and Co-op Trophy Notes
Monster Hunter Rise has no online-required trophies. You do not need PlayStation Plus for Badge of Excellence, and every story quest, Arena Quest, Apex hunt, crown, and collection award can be completed solo.
Co-op can still improve efficiency. Joining another player's targeted hunt can advance monster counts, map completions, crowns, money, and rank. Crown groups can split size checks, while a second hunter can make Arena and Apex encounters more forgiving.
Keep personal systems such as Buddy training, lottery attempts, room decorations, photos, and NPC conversations moving between multiplayer quests. Those are tied to your own save and cannot be completed by another player.

Guide notes
Missable Trophies in Monster Hunter Rise
There are no missable trophies in Monster Hunter Rise. The story ends with full quest replay, every region remains open, and none of the collectibles or combat actions has a permanent lockout.
The one-character requirement is the important planning rule. Guild Card awards track cumulative progress per hunter, so 500 hunts on one character and 500 on another do not combine into Dreadnought Destroyer Plaque. The same principle applies to crowns, map totals, requests, money, and other award counters.
Focus these first
Hardest Trophies and How to Get Them
Mini Crown Plaque and Gold Crown Plaque
These two trophies are the main time sink. Complete the guaranteed event crowns first, hunt each monster 10 times for its scroll, then begin measuring and resetting. That order prevents you from throwing away non-crown hunts that were still needed for Sturdy Padlock.
Use Master Rank quests for base monsters when Sunbreak is installed. The better odds and stronger equipment usually outweigh the extra monster health. In a multi-target quest, finish the crown target and choose Return from Quest so the size is saved without clearing the remaining hunt.
Sturdy Padlock
Sturdy Padlock combines deterministic hunting with lottery RNG. You need 49 Argosy scrolls, 12 relic carvings, and 12 lottery trinkets.
Hunt each relevant monster 10 times, including the Apex forms, then buy the unlocked scrolls with Kamura Points. Narwa the Allmother is the exception. Collect all 60 Relic Records for the carvings, and play the lottery whenever a sale appears. Save reloads do not change a lottery result, but winning 100 lottery prizes grants one missing decoration.
Fan of True Ascendancy and Adept Hunter Certificate
Adept Hunter Certificate requires all High Rank Hub quests, which means reaching HR100 and unlocking each Apex hunt through a Rampage slay. Check every rank tab for a red completion mark before assuming the list is finished.
Fan of True Ascendancy is the sharpest combat test. Bring fully upgraded armor, defensive food, healing supplies, Farcasters, and a weapon you know well. The three Apex monsters appear in sequence, so there is time to restock between waves.
Dreadnought Destroyer Plaque
The 1,000 large-monster total is long but should not be farmed from the start. Story quests, all Hub completions, 10 kills per monster for room scrolls, crown attempts, Rampages, and Sunbreak hunts can supply most or all of it.
Rampage waves do not add every monster to the counter. Only the final target counts. If a cleanup grind remains, use short Low Rank or Master Rank hunts with a high-damage set and capture whenever it saves time.
The long-run commitment is closer to Diablo 2 Resurrected than to a standard action RPG, although Rise lets several large counters overlap during every hunt.
Guide notes
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak DLC Trophies
Sunbreak adds 50 trophies across six add-on packs. It has no separate Platinum, and none of its trophies is required for Badge of Excellence.
| Field | Sunbreak Details |
|---|---|
| Difficulty | 5/10 |
| Additional Time for 100% | 250+ hours, with major overlap if base and DLC goals are planned together |

| Missable Trophies | None |
| Online Trophies | None. Co-op is optional |

Sunbreak 100% Roadmap
Finish the Sunbreak story first and speak to every NPC with a dialogue marker. Feed the Snowy Cohoot after 15 separate hunts, keep Argosy Letters of Introduction active, collect Pingarh's gifts, and use Hopping Skewers while progressing.
Complete Follower Quests before Support Surveys, then clear all six Master Rank Arena Quests and every required MR 1-star through MR 6-star quest. Finish the 1-star through 4-star Anomaly Quest set after the story.
Handle Jungle and Citadel camps, Great Wirebugs, messages, endemic life, Buddy Recon points, requests, Dango, Switch Skills, and room decorations while raising Master Rank.
The endgame route is Anomaly Investigations, Qurious Crafting, and Risen elder dragons. Reach Anomaly Research Level 50, complete a level 100 Investigation, slay 100 Afflicted monsters, augment five weapons and five armor pieces, and slay 15 Risen elders.
Spend 3,000 Investigation Coins at Bahari's shop, then finish the 1,000 Master Rank hunt total and the Sunbreak crown set. Owning the coins without spending them does not unlock Bahari's Hand-Wound Birdie.
Sunbreak Crown Requirements
Miniature Crown Shield and Gold Crown Shield require all 43 base-game crown monsters plus the following 16 monsters from Sunbreak's original launch set.
| # | Required Monster | # | Required Monster |

Several Master Rank event or Support Survey quests guarantee specific crowns. Use those before random farming, then target multi-monster quests for the remaining records.

Quick answers
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to Platinum Monster Hunter Rise?
Expect at least 250 hours for the base Platinum. Poor crown or lottery luck can push the total beyond 300 hours, while Sunbreak gear and better Master Rank crown odds can reduce cleanup time.
How hard is the Monster Hunter Rise Platinum?
It is about 5/10. Only a few endgame quests are demanding, while most of the difficulty comes from tracking crowns, collections, and large cumulative totals.
Are there missable trophies in Monster Hunter Rise?
No. Every quest, map, monster, and collectible remains available after the story.
Does Monster Hunter Rise have online trophies?
No. All 50 base trophies and all 50 Sunbreak trophies can be earned solo and offline.
How many crowns are needed for the Monster Hunter Rise Platinum?
You need 43 miniature gold crowns and 43 large gold crowns, for 86 base crown records. Ibushi, Narwa, and Narwa the Allmother are excluded.
Does Sunbreak make the base Platinum easier?
Yes. Master Rank gear speeds up old hunts, and Master Rank quests usually provide better crown odds for base monsters. Sunbreak itself is not required for the Platinum.
Do all trophies need to be earned on one character?
Yes. The underlying Guild Card awards are character-specific, so cumulative progress should not be split across multiple hunters.
What is the hardest trophy in Monster Hunter Rise?
Gold Crown Plaque is usually the hardest because it requires a large gold crown for all 43 eligible base monsters and depends heavily on quest RNG.
Is Sunbreak required for Badge of Excellence?
No. Badge of Excellence only requires the other 49 base-game trophies. Sunbreak's 50 trophies are separate add-on packs with no Platinum.
Does a PS4 save autopop Monster Hunter Rise trophies on PS5?
Yes. A compatible PS4 save can be transferred to PS5 and earned trophies can autopop. The supported transfer direction is PS4 to PS5, not PS5 to PS4.
Monster Hunter Rise becomes manageable when you treat every hunt as progress toward several awards. Build the passive counters during the story, complete HR100 and every quest, finish the deterministic collections, then use crown farming to close the remaining hunt and map totals.
