Far Cry New Dawn Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Far Cry New Dawn Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 1: Host or play solo, then the story
Host the game or play solo. As a joining co-op player you will earn no single-player trophies at all.
Play the 22 main story missions. Some combat trophies need perks that only unlock in Act 2, so the story comes first.
Grab Honorary Scout along the way, the only missable, which needs 10 Scouts spoken to.
Recruit the 8 Guns for Hire as early as you can and grind kills with two or three favourites so you always have a backup ready.
Kill and skin every animal type you encounter for Master Skinner, which saves a hunt later.
Phase 2: Prosperity, Airdrop and collectibles
Upgrade Prosperity, prioritising the Expeditions centre. Fully upgrading it unlocks Airdrop, which lets you drop into any location.
Use Airdrop for the Springboard trophy, timing your leap of faith from the drop.
Buy the collectible maps from the Cartography centre rather than searching blind.
Work the collectible sets, the MP3 players, the 9 Dear Photograph locations and the 3 Treasure Hunts.
Phase 3: Outposts, misc and Pure Ninja
Liberate outposts, working up to a Rank III Outpost undetected for Pure Ninja.
Clear the combat oddities, the shield throw kills at the Bonecrusher pit where fast travelling away and back respawns the shielded enemies, the bayonet finish and the long range arrow kill.
Craft a legendary weapon or vehicle, and complete the fishing set.
Skill points are unlimited from expeditions and hostage rescues, so build yourself up freely before the last phase.
Phase 4: Rank III Expeditions and the platinum
Hit the Road needs 7 unique Expeditions completed on Rank III, and each expedition must be cleared on Rank I and Rank II first.
Fully upgrade the Expeditions centre before attempting these, and bring a legendary LMG, a legendary bow and a third option such as a grenade launcher.
Death or losing the chopper restarts the whole expedition, so patience matters more than speed.

Hit the Road Is the Whole Difficulty
Seven unique Expeditions on Rank III difficulty. To reach Rank III on any expedition you must first complete it on Rank I and Rank II. Death or losing the chopper sends you back to the very start. Leave this until last, fully upgrade the Expeditions centre first, and bring a legendary LMG, a legendary bow and a third option such as a grenade launcher or SMG.

Unlock Airdrop Early
Fully upgrading the Expeditions centre at Prosperity unlocks Airdrop, which lets you drop into any location on the map. It is the single biggest quality of life upgrade in the game and it also provides the height needed for the Springboard fall trophy.
Skill Points Are Effectively Unlimited
Expeditions and rescuing hostages both award skill points with no cap, so you can become massively overpowered early. That is unusual for the series and it is why this platinum is one of the quickest.
What You Do Not Need
Challenges and fully scavenging locations are not required for the platinum. Everything else marked in the general progression menu is needed to some degree.

Do the Story First
Some combat trophies need perks unavailable until Act 2, and several Guns for Hire are tied to story progress. Recruit all 8 Guns for Hire as early as you can for maximum use, though they can still be recruited after the story.
Pure Ninja
Liberate a Rank III Outpost while staying undetected. The second hardest trophy after Hit the Road and worth its own strategy section.
Two Concrete Tips
For the shield trophy, the Bonecrusher pit holds five or six shielded enemies, and fast travelling away and back respawns them, so it takes about a minute. For collectibles, buy the maps from the Cartography centre at Prosperity rather than hunting blind.
Master Skinner
Collect at least one skin from every animal type in Hope County. Kill and skin animals as you encounter them to avoid a dedicated hunt later.
