Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 0: Play the Nathan Drake Collection
If you want an Uncharted 2 platinum, play the PS4 Nathan Drake Collection. The PS3 platinum is unobtainable since the online servers closed.
Ignore pre-2019 guides that describe the multiplayer medal grind. Those trophies are gone and the PS4 list does not have them.
Confirm whether Crushing unlocks immediately or requires a prior Hard completion, since it changes your playthrough count.
Note that the Extended Collection DLC trophies are not required for the platinum.
Phase 1: First playthrough for story and treasures
Play on whichever difficulty the Crushing gate allows. If Hard is a prerequisite, do that run now to unlock Crushing.
Collect treasures as you go. Chapter select handles anything missed, so a partial sweep still counts.
Bank the story-related and combat trophies that come naturally.
Unlock the Bonus Features menu options, which help considerably with the weapon kill trophies later.
Phase 2: The weapon and combat trophies
Work the weapon kill counts using the Bonus Features menu where it helps. Uncharted 2 keeps this menu, unlike Uncharted 3.
Clear the melee, stealth and grenade trophies, which mostly resolve through deliberate play rather than grinding.
Use chapter select to farm specific encounters rather than replaying whole runs.
Phase 3: Crushing and the platinum
Complete the game on Crushing without changing difficulty. This is the hardest requirement on the list.
Difficulty trophies stack, so a Crushing run also awards the lower difficulty trophies.

Finish the treasure hunt via chapter select and the platinum follows.

The PS3 Platinum Is Dead
First section after the Quick Info box. Naughty Dog discontinued PS3 Uncharted online server support and the multiplayer trophies became unobtainable, which makes the PS3 platinum impossible. Confirm the Uncharted 2 date specifically, since the documented Uncharted 3 shutdown was 3 September 2019 and the two may not have been simultaneous.

The Nathan Drake Collection Is the Route
Released October 2015 on PS4. Each of the three games has its own separate trophy list and its own platinum, and the online portions are excluded entirely. That is three platinums in one purchase and it is the only way to earn an Uncharted 2 platinum now. It is also dramatically shorter than the PS3 version ever was, because the multiplayer medal and level grind is simply gone.

The largest single time block. Chapter select handles cleanup, so a partial sweep during the story carries forward. Note whether treasures found are tracked per chapter and whether the in-game menu shows what is outstanding.
Use the Bonus Features Menu
Uncharted 2 retains the Bonus Features menu, which grants things like infinite ammo and weapon selection. Uncharted 3 dropped it, which is why weapon kill trophies are much harder there. On Uncharted 2 those trophies are far less painful, and note whether the bonuses disable trophies.
Extended Collection DLC Trophies
The remaster carries extra trophies that are not required for the platinum.
