Far Cry 4 Trophy Guide and Platinum Roadmap
Follow these phases in order to protect the missable work and keep the Far Cry 4 Platinum cleanup efficient.
Phase 0: Verify servers, then clear the online set
Confirm online and co-op still connect. This is a 2014 Ubisoft title and reports exist of players unable to connect at all.
If it works, do all four online trophies immediately rather than last. Around an hour total.
Community Surprise, go to Chronicles then Map Browser, load any Top Rated Outpost map and let an enemy kill you.
Battles of Kyrat, play one public match of each of the three modes. Win or lose does not matter.
Buy the Vehicle Takedown skill, then get the two campaign co-op trophies with a partner.
Phase 1: Story and outposts
Play the main story. Difficulty does not affect trophies so use whatever setting you enjoy.
Liberate outposts and bell towers as you go, which reveals collectibles and unlocks side missions. There are 24 outposts.
Skip Shangri-La, Longinus, and Yogi and Regi entirely. None are needed for any trophy.
Buy collectible maps from Trading Posts as soon as you can afford them, and loot bodies and chests for money.
Liberate one outpost without triggering an alarm, and take the fortresses.
Phase 2: Progression and miscellaneous
Learn all skills, craft 5 equipment upgrades and 15 syringes, and spend 500,000 rupees at Trading Posts.
For Custom-Fitted, buy a weapon with no attachments such as the AK-47 and purchase its six paint schemes. Far cheaper than a full attachment set.
Reach Karma Level 2 and buy a Guns For Hire upgrade, reach Arena Rank 5, and fly 5,000m total in the wingsuit.
Work the kill trophies naturally, 30 with mortars, 30 with an elephant, 25 while shooting and driving, and distracting 15 with rocks.
Phase 3: Free roam cleanup and the platinum
Free roam is available after the story and outposts can be reset, so nothing is lost.
Sweep remaining collectibles using the purchased maps, and finish the side mission and activity counts.
Master Of Kyrat lands on the final trophy.
Valley of the Yetis is a separate list and is not required.

Do the Online Trophies First
First section after the Quick Info box. Four trophies need online or co-op, and this is a 2014 Ubisoft title. Reports exist of players unable to connect at all. Verify the current server status, and if it works, do these four before anything else rather than saving them for last. They take about an hour combined.

The Four Online Trophies, Fastest Route
Community Surprise, load a Top Rated Outpost map from Chronicles then Map Browser and simply let an enemy kill you. Battles of Kyrat, play one public match of each of the three modes, Outpost, Demon Mask and Propaganda, and winning does not matter. Plus two campaign co-op trophies including Changing Lanes, a vehicle takedown from the passenger seat, which needs the Vehicle Takedown skill purchased first.

Three Quest Lines You Can Skip
Shangri-La, Longinus, and Yogi and Regi are not required for any trophy. Naming them saves several hours on a 25 hour platinum and almost no guide leads with it.
Buy the Collectible Maps
Trading Posts sell maps that reveal collectible locations. Loot bodies and chests for money, which is plentiful. This removes the need for a written collectible route entirely.
The Cheapest Route to Custom-Fitted
The trophy needs all attachments and paint schemes for a single weapon. Pick a weapon with no attachments, such as the AK-47, so you only need the six paint schemes rather than a full attachment set.

24 outposts in total, and they can be reset after the story, which is why nothing is missable. Includes liberating one without triggering an alarm, and conquering fortresses.

Group them, since they all resolve during normal play. 30 enemies with mortars, 30 with an elephant, 25 while shooting and driving, distract 15 with rocks, a Buzzer takedown, plus the wingsuit distance and Arena Rank 5.

- No missable trophies. Free roam is available after the story and outposts can be reset, which restores access to enemies for any outstanding combat trophies.
- No glitched trophies reported, and difficulty does not affect trophies.
- The genuine risk is the four online and co-op trophies. This is a 2014 Ubisoft title and players have reported being unable to connect to online or co-op at all.
