Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Platinum Roadmap
Phase 1: Finish the Story and Start the Combat Counters
Play the campaign on any difficulty. You can complete nearby activities as they appear, but focusing on the story first reduces backtracking because new side-content categories unlock gradually.
Start rotating character-specific abilities as soon as they become available. Miles needs 100 finishing blows with Evolved Venom abilities for Evolved, while Peter needs 100 finishing blows with Spider Arm abilities for Armed and Dangerous. The ability must defeat the enemy, not only damage them.
After the Web Line tutorial, perform stealth takedowns from Web Lines whenever you enter a Hunter Blind or Hunter Base. Slack Line only needs 25 takedowns in total, and spreading them across the campaign is faster than searching for suitable crimes later.
For Surge, equip several Symbiote abilities before activating Symbiote Surge with L3 and R3. Use the abilities while the Surge state is active. The trophy tracks ability activations, so the moves do not need to score kills.
Create rotating manual saves at major story milestones. Nothing is missable, but separate saves protect the run if an activity or trophy counter stops advancing.
Phase 2: Reach 100% Completion in All Districts
After the story, clear all 160 tracked activities and collectibles across the 14 districts. Most categories appear on the map once the district is unfogged. Spider-Bots are the main exception, so watch for their pink pulse and audio cue while travelling.
I recommend completing one district at a time and comparing its map counter before moving on. The district-by-district rhythm resembles Ghost of Tsushima's Platinum route, but Spider-Man 2 has a smaller and more transparent checklist.
Bronze ratings are enough for every Mysterium. You do not need Silver or Gold times. Finishing all district content should also take you to level 60 and provide most of the Tech Parts and Tokens needed for suits, gadgets, and Suit Tech.
Check the district counter before and after Hunter Blinds, since rare reports have linked them to Superior failing to register. Save in a new slot before clearing the last activity in each district.
Phase 3: Buy Upgrades and Finish Miscellaneous Trophies
Purchase every required base-game suit, all Gadget upgrades, and all Suit Tech upgrades. Suit styles, Digital Deluxe suits, New Game+ styles, and post-launch bonus suits are not required for Kitted Out.
If you are short on standard Tech Parts, complete crimes and collect the blue Tech Crates found around the city. Avoid spending large amounts on optional suit styles until the required purchases are finished.
Clean up the location and traversal trophies next. Home Run!, Just Let Go, You Know What to Do, Soar, Hang Ten, and Splat can all be completed in free roam within a few minutes once you know the locations or inputs.
Use the PS5 trophy tracker to check Evolved, Armed and Dangerous, Slack Line, Surge, and Resourceful. Crimes continue to spawn after the story, and Mission Replay gives you another source of controlled combat encounters.
Phase 4: Finish New Game+ for 100% Trophy Completion
The Platinum unlocks without New Game+. For the separate Once More, With Feeling trophy, start New Game+ from a completed save and finish the main story again on any difficulty.
You can ignore districts, collectibles, optional missions, and Ultimate Levels during this run. Focusing on required missions and skipping optional content usually adds about 8 to 11 hours.

Missable Trophies in Marvel's Spider-Man 2
There are no missable trophies in the base game. Story trophies unlock automatically, every district activity remains available after the credits, and enemies continue to appear through crimes and repeatable combat content.
Slack Line can become less convenient after every Hunter location is cleared, but it is still obtainable. Play as Miles, use camouflage to create a safe stealth opening during suitable crimes, or use Mission Replay for another controlled encounter.
The game does not have a point of no return that permanently locks side content. You can finish the campaign first and complete the entire Platinum in post-story free roam.
Guide notes
Does Difficulty Affect Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Trophies?
No trophy requires a specific difficulty. You can earn the Platinum on Friendly Neighborhood and change difficulty at any time.
Accessibility options do not disable trophies. Lower enemy health is particularly useful for Evolved and Armed and Dangerous because the required ability needs to deliver the finishing blow.
Ultimate difficulty is optional. The New Game+ trophy only asks you to finish the story in New Game+, so that second run can also be completed on an easier setting.
Unlike God of War Ragnarok's optional boss spikes, Spider-Man 2's Platinum is driven almost entirely by completion and tracking rather than demanding combat.
Guide notes
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Collectibles and 100% District Completion
Superior requires all 160 tracked activities and collectibles across 14 districts. Crimes and small Tech Crates do not count toward district completion.
| Activity or collectible | Required count | Trophy connection |
|---|---|---|
| Marko's Memories | 14 | Grains of Sand |
| Photo Ops | 23 | New York, New York |
| FNSM Requests | 6 | Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and A New Adventure |
| Prowler Stashes | 10 | Co-Signing |
| The Flame missions | 4 | Crimson Hour |
| Brooklyn Visions missions | 5 | Brooklyn Pride |
| EMF Experiments | 9 | Foundational |
| Hunter Blinds | 11 | Seek and Destroy |
| Hunter Bases | 4 | Seek and Destroy |
| Spider-Bots | 43 | Funky Wireless Protocols |
| Mysteriums | 10 | Behind the Masks |
| Cultural Museum missions | 2 | My Community |
| Unidentified Targets | 9 | Data Collector |
| Symbiote Nests | 10 | Exterminator |
| Total | 160 | Superior |
Most markers become visible when you unfog a district or raise its completion level. New activity types also appear retroactively as the story unlocks them. Spider-Bots remain the main manual search because they are revealed by a nearby pulse rather than a complete map-wide set of icons.
Finish category-ending missions after collecting the visible items. Grand Finale, Target Identified, It Was Meant for Me, A Gift, Hard Bop, and The Message are part of the relevant trophy requirements.
Compared with Jedi Survivor's broader exploration route, Spider-Man 2 gives you clearer district counters and no permanent collectible lockouts.

Glitched Trophy and Progress Tracking Notes
Superior
Rare reports describe an activity completing without increasing the district counter, especially around Hunter Blinds. Check the relevant district before and after each activity, and rotate manual saves rather than overwriting one slot.
If a counter does not increase, reload the save made before the activity and complete it again. Do not continue clearing the district while the displayed count is wrong.
Evolved, Slack Line, Armed and Dangerous, and Surge
Insomniac's current troubleshooting guidance covers stalled progress on these four trophies. Try the following in order:
- Restart the game and test the requirement again.
- Unpin and repin the trophy in the PS5 trophy interface.
- Create a new manual save from the current file.
- Restart the game, choose Load Game, and load that manual save directly.
- Complete the requirement continuously without dying, reloading a checkpoint, or changing saves.
A new save file is the last resort if the counter still refuses to move. Before assuming a glitch, confirm that Spider Arm and Evolved Venom abilities are delivering the actual finishing blow, and that Surge abilities are being used while the Surge state is active.

General Tips for the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Platinum
Combat and Trophy Tracking Tips
- Use Miles for Evolved and Peter for Armed and Dangerous whenever crimes appear.
- Weaken tougher enemies with normal attacks, then finish them with the required ability.
- Equip four Symbiote abilities before activating Surge so you can trigger several uses in one activation.
- Perform Web Line takedowns while Hunter locations still contain predictable stealth groups.
- Check the PS5 trophy tracker every few encounters so a stalled counter is noticed early.
Upgrade and Resource Tips
- Clear districts before farming resources because the required activities award large amounts of Tech Parts and Tokens.
- Buy required suits, Gadget upgrades, and Suit Tech before spending heavily on optional suit styles.
- Suit styles do not count for Kitted Out, and Bronze Mysterium ratings are enough for Behind the Masks.
- Resourceful is cumulative, so spending Tech Parts does not reset its 10,000-part total.
Traversal and Location Tips
- For Hang Ten, use a long avenue beside Central Park, perform one or two tricks between swings, and never touch a rooftop or the street.
- For Soar, start near the northeast edge of the Financial District and connect the wind tunnel leading toward the river with the tunnel that crosses into Astoria. Do not swing, web-zip, or point-launch after opening the Web Wings.
- For Home Run!, enter the baseball field in southeast Downtown Brooklyn and run across each base in order.
- Just Let Go only works as Miles, while You Know What to Do only works as Peter.

Hardest Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Trophies and How to Get Them
Superior
Superior is the longest requirement because it combines every open-world activity into one district-wide checklist. I would verify each district counter and keep a manual save from before its final activity. The task is easy mechanically, but poor tracking can turn a clean route into a long search.
Soar
The safest route starts from a high point at the northeast side of the Financial District. Open the Web Wings, enter the northeast-bound wind tunnel, then transfer into the tunnel that carries you across the river toward Astoria. Wind Tunnels are allowed, but swinging, web-zipping, and point-launching invalidate the attempt.
Slack Line
Create Web Lines above unaware enemies and only use takedowns marked Safe. Hunter Blinds and Bases are the cleanest locations because they hold multiple enemies and support full stealth. If those locations are already finished, use Miles's camouflage during suitable crimes or revisit a story encounter through Mission Replay.
Evolved and Armed and Dangerous
These trophies count kills, not ability hits. Lower the difficulty, soften each enemy with standard attacks, and use the relevant ability as the finisher. Alternate between Miles and Peter during district cleanup so the two 100-kill totals progress together instead of becoming separate post-game grinds.
Guide notes
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 New Game+ Trophy
New Game+ adds one Silver trophy and is separate from the 42-trophy base Platinum list.
| Trophy | Tier | How to unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Once More, With Feeling | Silver | Finish the main story in New Game+ mode on any difficulty. |
Start New Game+ from a save that has completed the story. Suits, skills, abilities, Gadgets, and upgrades carry over, which makes the required missions faster.
You do not need 100% district completion, Ultimate difficulty, Ultimate Levels, Golden Gadget styles, or another collectible sweep. Follow the main missions until the credits to finish the current 43-trophy set.
Quick answers
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to Platinum Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
Expect about 25 to 40 hours for the base Platinum. Full 100% trophy completion adds roughly 8 to 11 hours for the New Game+ story run.
How hard is the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Platinum?
It is about 2/10. The list has no difficulty trophy, no online requirement, and no permanent missables, with Superior providing most of the time commitment.
Are there missable trophies in Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
No. Every base trophy can be completed after the story through free roam, crimes, and Mission Replay.
Does Marvel's Spider-Man 2 require New Game+ for the Platinum?
No. Dedicated only requires the 42 base trophies. New Game+ adds the separate Once More, With Feeling Silver trophy for full 100% completion.
How many trophies are in Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
The base game has 42 trophies: 22 Bronze, 17 Silver, 2 Gold, and 1 Platinum. The New Game+ pack raises the current total to 43 trophies.
Do difficulty or accessibility settings disable trophies?
No. You can use the easiest difficulty and accessibility options without blocking the Platinum or the New Game+ trophy.
What is the hardest trophy in Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
Superior is the longest and most important trophy because it requires 100% completion in every district. Soar is usually the trickiest single execution-based trophy.
Can Spider-Man 2 trophies autopop from PS4 to PS5?
No. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has no PS4 version, so there is no PS4 save transfer or cross-generation autopop route.
What should you do if a trophy counter stops progressing?
Restart the game, unpin and repin the trophy, then load a fresh manual save from the Load Game menu. Complete the requirement without dying or reloading a checkpoint, and keep a separate backup before district activities.
