Campaign Co-op and Host Progress

Campaign co-op uses the host's world and story progression. The guest can help with missions, but trophies marked Solo Campaign only generally unlock for the host rather than the joining player. A guest should therefore complete those objectives again on their own save.

Hitting it Off is the exception that matters for the Platinum route. Both players earn it after completing three qualifying quests together. Three short Prepper Stashes make this a quick session, and no campaign matchmaking is available, so a friend or arranged partner is required.

Far Cry Arcade

Far Cry Arcade contains five required trophies. ARCADE Hero, ARCADE Enthusiast, and most of the level 20 grind can be handled through solo-compatible online maps. ARCADE Hunter and ARCADE Competitor require multiplayer matches.

For ARCADE Enthusiast, filter Solo and Co-op maps by the Featured category and complete 10 maps. Back out to the Arcade menu between runs rather than selecting Replay. For ARCADE Competitor, vote for featured maps and record each win manually. Team Deathmatch is usually the most forgiving mode because any player on the winning team receives credit.

If a trophy does not unlock at the expected count, switch to another featured map, return to the main Arcade menu, and rebuild the lobby before continuing. This reduces the risk of delayed tracking without adding unnecessary wins.

Far Cry 5 has no permanently missable base-game trophies. Free roam remains available after the story, the final mission can be replayed, and Outpost Master restores captured outposts once all of them have been cleared.

The main co-op warning is not a traditional missable. A joining player does not receive most Solo Campaign only trophies, so campaign progress should be completed on that player's own save. Scavenger should also be done while playing solo.

Combat trophies such as Close and Personal, Opportunity Knocks, and Explosive Surprise are easier before regional liberation reduces enemy traffic. They remain obtainable through remaining hostile areas, a friend's world, or reset outposts.

Difficulty does not affect the base Far Cry 5 trophies. You can earn the Platinum on Easy and change difficulty at any time.

This places Far Cry 5 among the easiest Platinum trophies because the campaign has no difficulty requirement, no missables, and very little mandatory completion. The only unpredictable part is finding multiplayer matches and getting 10 featured wins.

New Game Plus adds a separate Silver trophy named Infamous for completing a New Game Plus campaign on Infamous difficulty. It belongs to an add-on pack and is not required for the Platinum.

Pack Rat Collectibles

Pack Rat only requires one item from each of six categories. Pick up one baseball card, comic book, Vietnam lighter, bobblehead, vinyl crate, and whiskey cask. You do not need to finish any complete collectible set.

The overall cleanup is much smaller than the one in the Red Dead Redemption 2 trophy guide, since representative items are enough for Far Cry 5.

Been There, Done That Challenges

The trophy checks the Hunting section of the Challenges menu rather than every animal in the world. The required animals are deer, pronghorn, elk, caribou, bison, moose, hare, boar, skunk, wolverine, wolf, cougar, black bear, grizzly bear, turkey, and eagle.

The required fish are kokanee salmon, Arctic grayling, golden trout, rock bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, bull trout, lake trout, rainbow trout, Chinook salmon, pallid sturgeon, and paddlefish sturgeon.

Complete Hope County Master Angler first because its hard-record catches cover all 12 fish types. Boomer can mark nearby wildlife and is useful for the remaining animal challenges. If a rare animal does not spawn, fast travel away and return to refresh the area.

Hope County Master Angler Records

Buy or collect the Basic rod, buy the Natural rod, and complete Skylar Kohrs' three quests for the Wonderboy rod. Unlock the Fisher King perk before working on Old Betsy, then beat every record at fishing spots marked Hard.

The record boards at Fall's End, Hope County Jail, and the Wolf's Den show blue ribbons beside completed records. Use the Salmon Egg for salmon, Bass Popper for bass, Trout Bugger for trout, and Hybrid Sturgeon lure for sturgeon.

Preserve Cash for Big Spender

Avoid buying unnecessary weapons and cosmetics until Big Spender unlocks. Campaign rewards provide much of the required money, while fish and animal skins cover the rest. Purchases for Stocked Garage also count toward the $50,000 total.

Work on Enemy Counters Early

Use occupied outposts for takedowns, vehicle kills, rock distractions, and long-range headshots. Letting reinforcements arrive provides extra targets. If cleanup remains after liberation, capture every outpost and activate Outpost Master.

The relaxed one-playthrough structure is similar to the Ghost of Tsushima trophy guide, although Far Cry 5 adds mandatory Arcade and campaign co-op requirements.

Combine Related Objectives

Sell the fish caught for Hope County Master Angler to progress Fish Market and fund Big Spender. Hunting challenges provide skins for cash and perk points for Survivalist. Prepper Stashes count toward Scavenger, supply perk magazines, and can serve as the three co-op quests for Hitting it Off.

Unlock Wingsuit and Airdrop early to accumulate distance toward Like A Bird during normal fast travel. Recruit Hurk as soon as The Prodigal Son becomes available, then order him to destroy traffic or spawned vehicles for The Hurk Locker.

The base Platinum only uses the original 51 trophies. The complete Far Cry 5 list contains 73 trophies after four add-on packs are included.

These 22 trophies are only needed for 100 percent completion. Far Cry 3 Classic, which was included with some editions and season passes, uses its own separate trophy list.
