Base Game vs DLC: What the Platinum Actually Needs
The Platinum requires only the 62 trophies in the PS5 base set. At the time of writing, the complete PS5 list has 297 trophies across the base game and 49 DLC packs, but the extra 235 trophies affect only 100 percent completion.
PS4 and PS5 have separate lists. Cross-progression shares much of your character progress and inventory, but trophies remain platform-specific and do not provide a complete autopop.
Dead by Daylight Platinum Roadmap
Phase 1: Learn Both Roles and Build One Character
Start in normal public 1v4 matches. As Survivor, learn generators, safe rescues, healing, vaults, and exits. As Killer, learn patrols, hooks, power use, and when to abandon a chase.
Spend early Bloodpoints on one character for Skillful, It wakes, Not half bad, and the full-loadout trophies. Keep that character moving toward Prestige 3, Bloodweb level 50 for III-50.
Phase 2: Complete Survivor Adepts and Escapes
Clear Adept Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake, Nea, Ace, and Min. Equip only that Survivor's three unique perks and leave the fourth slot empty. Items, add-ons, and offerings are allowed.
Combine these runs with heals, safe unhooks, repairs, Skill Checks, chased vaults, and 50 escapes. Save map, Hatch, Key, self-unhook, and item trophies for suitable matches.
Phase 3: Complete Killer Adepts and Power Goals
Clear the Adepts for Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, Hag, and Doctor. A Merciless result currently requires four kills while using only the Killer's three unique perks. Add-ons and offerings are allowed.
Pair each Adept with its power counter, including Bear Trap grabs, post-uncloak hits, Chainsaw Sprint hits, Blink Attacks, Phantasm Traps, and Shock Therapy hits.
Phase 4: Finish Prestige and Long Counters
Complete III-50, 500 sacrifices, 100 generator repairs, 500 Skill Checks, 200 chased vaults, and the score-category trophies. Like the cleanup in the World War Z trophy guide, efficient overlap matters more than pursuing one counter per match.
Finish with focused attempts for From the void she kills, Blood on your face, and The Key to Escape. Check PSN after every progression milestone when using cross-progression.

There are no missable trophies. Every requirement can be attempted again in later public matches. Updates may change perks, maps, rarities, or wording, so confirm the current PSN description after major patches.
Online and Adept Trophy Notes
Public Matches and Groups
Use regular public 1v4 matches. Custom Games do not count, and limited-time modes are not reliable unless a trophy explicitly tracks them. A premade Survivor group helps with rescues, items, and exits, but the Killer remains matchmade.
Dead by Daylight is more opponent-dependent than the objectives in the Helldivers 2 trophy guide. Play normally first, then pursue a situational trophy when the correct setup appears.
Survivor Adepts
Equip only the Survivor's three unique perks. Leave the fourth slot empty. Items, add-ons, and offerings are valid, while either an Exit Gate or Hatch escape counts.
Killer Adepts
Equip only the Killer's three unique perks. Add-ons and offerings are valid. Merciless currently means four kills regardless of grade. Hook or directly kill everyone, since bleed-outs, disconnects, and endgame edge cases can disrupt the result.
General Tips for the Platinum
Combine Progress
Survivor matches can advance repairs, heals, rescues, Skill Checks, vaults, score categories, and escapes together. Killer matches can advance sacrifices, power counters, scoring, and Adepts.
Focus Bloodpoints
Keep one character on the Prestige route until Prestige 3, level 50. Spreading early Bloodpoints across the roster delays III-50.
On PS5, verify It wakes, Not half bad, Skillful, I, II, III, and III-50 when they should unlock. Cross-progression can import a character beyond the trigger point, and current reports show occasional sync failures. A fresh character on the target version is safer.
Save Rare Resources
Use a headset for generators, footsteps, injured breathing, and the Hatch. Save Torn Bookmark for the Nurse grab, a Key for the Hatch trophy, and Visceral resources for Risk it all and Gifts for the Fog.
Hardest Trophies and How to Get Them
The grind places Dead by Daylight among the hardest PlayStation Platinums, but From the void she kills is the clearest execution test.
From the void she kills
Equip Torn Bookmark so Nurse has a third Blink charge. Target a Survivor committed to a generator, chest, unhook, or Exit Gate switch. Chain all three Blinks and finish close enough to trigger the grab animation.
A normal Blink Attack does not count. Open sightlines reduce correction errors, so practice Blink distance before spending the add-on on focused attempts.
Killer Adepts
Use strong add-ons and a suitable map offering, since both are allowed. Keep pressure across generators and avoid wasting time on one long chase. Trapper and Nurse usually need the most practice, while Wraith and Doctor offer clearer tracking.
A four-kill result is mandatory. Leave the fourth perk slot empty and avoid relying on bleed-outs.
Blood on your face and The Key to Escape
Blood on your face needs four direct kills, not sacrifices. Hex: Devour Hope provides a base-roster method at five tokens, but its Hex Totem must survive while you kill all four Survivors by your own hand.
For The Key to Escape, bring a usable Key and survive until the Hatch appears. After the Killer closes it, reopen it with the Key and escape.
DLC Trophy Notes
DLC chapters add separate packs for new characters, maps, powers, and Adepts. None count toward the base Platinum, though they remain necessary for 100 percent completion.
The PS5 list currently has 297 trophies across 49 add-on packs, and future chapters can increase that total. Cross-progression does not merge earned trophies, so verify PS4 and PS5 stacks separately.
