When Can You Unlock Parallax in MW4?
Parallax starts in Season 1, when Modern Warfare 4 weapons and their mastery progression join Warzone. It is not available through the October 23 Multiplayer and DMZ launch.
Players can work on the shared weapon-camo foundation earlier. DMZ early access begins October 20 for digital preorders, followed by full Multiplayer and DMZ release on October 23. Military and Special camo progress contributes to the shared weapon system.
Unlocking those prerequisites now means less shared progression to complete when the separate Warzone mastery ladder opens.
How to Unlock Parallax
Parallax starts the Warzone Mastery ladder after the shared Completionist progression:
- Level weapons to unlock Military camos.
- Complete Special challenges, which adjust to the mode played.
- Earn Gold, Platinum, Harmonic Break and Divergence.
- With Season 1 Warzone Mastery active, open the Parallax challenge.
- Complete that Warzone-specific objective to earn the camo.
Divergence gives access to the first mastery stage. It does not automatically award Parallax, and Multiplayer or DMZ mastery camos do not replace the Warzone challenge.
Parallax Requirement
Warzone mastery objectives have not been announced. Parallax is the first of the three Season 1 Warzone Mastery camos, following the shared camo progression through Divergence.
When the Warzone ladder is available, select Parallax in the camo menu and follow the active challenge. The mode-specific objective is distinct from the Military, Special and Completionist stages already available in Multiplayer and DMZ.

Warzone Camo Progress Explained
Military camos come from weapon levels. Special challenges adapt to the mode being played, and completed Special rewards enter a shared pool. Gold, Platinum, Harmonic Break and Divergence lead to the mode-specific Mastery challenges.
Warzone adds its own ladder in Season 1: Parallax, Damascus Reforged and Empyros. Mercurial Drift instead starts Multiplayer Mastery.
Parallax’s eligible Warzone playlists are not specified. Check the active Season 1 challenge before choosing Battle Royale or Resurgence for mastery progress.
What Comes After: Damascus Reforged
Completing Parallax opens Damascus Reforged, the second Warzone mastery camo. Damascus Reforged then leads to Empyros, the third and final Warzone tier.
The three Warzone rewards follow their own sequence. For the Multiplayer, DMZ, Warzone and Weapon Prestige paths together, see the MW4 mastery-camo hub.

No. Parallax belongs to Warzone Mastery, which starts with MW4's Warzone integration in Season 1, not the October 23 Multiplayer and DMZ release.
Do Battle Royale and Resurgence both count?
The Parallax challenge has not named eligible playlists. Check its active Warzone objective in Season 1 to see whether Battle Royale, Resurgence or both count.
