Quick Answer
- Bring 3 Wires and 1 Battery to The Blue Gate.
- Use the Wires at the base of the Warehouse Complex siren tower.
- Use the Battery on the boom box by the car in the Village.
- Sound a road bus horn at the Checkpoint, from inside by the driver's seat. Traffic Tunnel buses do not count.
Do the steps in any order and across separate raids if needed. A registered step does not need extraction to remain complete.
Clamoring for Attention Requirements
Accept Shani's quest, enter The Blue Gate, and bring 3 Wires plus 1 Battery. The siren consumes the Wires and the boom box consumes the Battery. The bus horn needs no quest item.
These are independent objectives, so you can choose the route that suits your spawn and split the work across raids. The quest does not require you to carry an item out after an interaction registers.
Where to Get 3 Wires and a Battery
Search Electrical and Technological loot areas for Wires and Batteries, particularly near computers, server equipment, and control panels. Recycling appropriate loot or buying from Celeste for Assorted Seeds are other ways to prepare.
Pilgrim's Peak on The Blue Gate is a useful place to check if you deploy short of either item. Wires are also needed for Trash into Treasure, After Rain Comes, and Flickering Threat, so keep extras you find.
The Emergency Siren at the Warehouse Complex
The emergency siren is at the Warehouse Complex near the centre of The Blue Gate. Find the siren tower and approach its base for the SOUND KLAXON interaction, which uses 3 Wires.
- Approach the Warehouse Complex and identify the siren tower.
- Clear the immediate area before stopping at the base of the tower.
- Use the klaxon prompt and wait until Shani's siren objective registers.
The Warehouse Complex is exposed and often busy, so do not linger after the step completes.
The Boom Box in the Village
The Village boom box is the Battery-gated objective. In the quest-marked area, look for the device on a low stone wall beside a parked car. The REPLACE BATTERY AND PLAY prompt appears when you approach it with a Battery.
- Enter the Village with 1 Battery in your inventory.
- Find the low wall beside the car and locate the boom box.
- Replace the Battery, play the device, and watch for the objective update.
Nearby threats still matter while you interact, regardless of how loud the device sounds.
The Bus Horn at the Checkpoint
Use a bus on the road at the Checkpoint to complete the item-free horn step. Buses inside the Traffic Tunnels do not count for this objective. Enter a road bus and move to the driver's seat to find the SOUND BUS HORN prompt.
- Reach the Checkpoint and identify a road bus near the active objective marker.
- Clear nearby threats, then enter the bus and approach the driver's seat.
- Sound the horn and wait for the quest tracker to update.
If you are already crossing this area, Bees! and A Better Use also use nearby routes.

Does the Noise Attract ARC?
Treat each sound interaction as a chance to draw attention, even though the siren, boom box, and horn have different volumes. Clear nearby ARC first, trigger the objective, and move once it registers.
The boom box is the quietest of the three. Do not rely on the sound alone to judge safety: an exposed interaction can be risky even when the noise is brief.
Clamoring for Attention Rewards
Finish all three sound objectives and return to Shani for 5 Lure Grenades, 5 Noisemakers, and 3 Tagging Grenades. These are modest distraction tools that fit the quest's noise experiment. The objectives can be completed across multiple raids; you do not need to finish the set in one deployment.
What Comes After Clamoring for Attention
For another Shani quest from the Flashpoint group, see Waking the Grid. That quest takes place on Spaceport, whereas Clamoring for Attention stays entirely on The Blue Gate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do buses in the Traffic Tunnels count?
No. Use one of the road buses outside the Traffic Tunnels at the Checkpoint. Enter and move to the driver's seat for the horn prompt.
Where is the siren prompt on the tower?
At the base of the Warehouse Complex siren tower. Bring 3 Wires for the SOUND KLAXON interaction.
Where is the boom box in the Village?
Look on the low stone wall beside a parked car in the Village objective area. Bring 1 Battery for the REPLACE BATTERY AND PLAY prompt.
Does the noise attract ARC?
