Quick Answer
- Stella Montis: use the upper map layer to locate the Atrium and photograph its central sculpture.
- Spaceport: photograph the exposed husk hanging from the southern dividing wall, southwest of Departure and west of Vehicle Maintenance.
- ARC ping: check Buried City's central park for a Bastion, or ping a Bombardier on Dam Battlegrounds, with only one of the two required.
- Delivery: hand three Industrial Batteries to Cassio in Speranza.
- Rewards: 8,000 XP, two Jolt Mines and one Advanced Electrical Components.
Requirements
- Prerequisite: finish Clean Hands and accept Taking Stock from Cassio.
- Photo equipment: equip the Basic Camera supplied when you accept the quest.
- Map access: visit Stella Montis and Spaceport, plus either Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City for the ping.
- Delivery material: set aside three Industrial Batteries for the separate trader hand-in.
Bring healing supplies and a loadout that lets you move between cover before stopping to use the camera.
Stella Montis: Photograph the Atrium Sculpture
The sculpture is in the Atrium on the upper layer of Stella Montis. Locate the hall on that map layer, then find the large sculpture in its center.
Use the Upper Map Layer
- Switch the Stella Montis map to its upper layer and locate the Atrium.
- Reach the hall and face the central sculpture.
- Equip the Basic Camera and photograph the sculpture.
Check the adjoining corridors before stopping to frame the shot. Keep nearby cover in reach while your attention is on the camera.
Spaceport: Photograph a Baron Husk
The Baron Husk photograph belongs to Spaceport, not Stella Montis. Use the exposed husk hanging from the southern dividing wall, southwest of Departure and west of Vehicle Maintenance.
Photograph the Exposed Wall-Hanging Husk
- Reach the southern dividing wall southwest of Departure.
- Locate the exposed Baron Husk hanging from the wall west of Vehicle Maintenance.
- Move into a position with a clear view of the husk.
- Equip the Basic Camera and take the photograph.
Match the exposed, wall-hanging shape when choosing your photo target. Dormant Barons has a separate husk-search objective, so do not confuse searching a husk with taking this photograph.
Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City: Ping One ARC
Complete exactly one ping objective, not both. The quest groups these tasks under COMPLETE EITHER OR, so choose either a Bastion on Buried City or a Bombardier on Dam Battlegrounds.
Look for a Bastion in Buried City's Central Park
Check the central park on Buried City. From the elevated approach, look down into the park for a Bastion before moving to ground level. Use this as a place to look, not a guaranteed spawn.
Choose a Bombardier on Dam Battlegrounds Instead
A Bombardier on Dam Battlegrounds is the alternative target. Choose this option when you locate one during a Dam visit, rather than making a second ping trip after completing the Bastion option.
Ping Your Chosen ARC
- Choose either the Buried City Bastion route or the Dam Battlegrounds Bombardier route.
- Locate the chosen machine and get a clear view from cover.
- Place a ping on the machine itself.
- Check that your chosen ping objective is complete before leaving the area.
Plan a retreat before exposing yourself to either machine. Completing the Bastion option leaves the Bombardier alternative crossed out rather than as another required task.
Deliver 3 Industrial Batteries
Deliver three Industrial Batteries to Cassio. This hand-in is separate from the two photographs and your chosen ARC ping.
Search Named Industrial Areas on Dam
| Search Area | Where to Look |
|---|---|
| Hydroponic Dome Complex | Search the industrial loot areas inside the dome complex. |
| Power Generation Complex | Check the shelves and carts for loose Industrial Batteries. |
Use the Dam Battlegrounds map to plan either search. These are places to search, not guaranteed battery drops.
Keep the Battery Delivery Separate
Check the item name before leaving: you need Industrial Batteries, not ordinary Batteries. Keep three for this delivery rather than selling or recycling them.
- Return to Cassio in Speranza with three Industrial Batteries for Taking Stock.
- Complete the delivery objective in the quest menu.
Explore the materials service for help with the Industrial Battery hand-in.
Troubleshooting: The Baron Husk Photo Does Not Count
If your Baron Husk photo does not count, move to the exposed wall-hanging husk southwest of Departure and west of Vehicle Maintenance on Spaceport.
Find the husk hanging from the southern dividing wall, move into a position with a clear view and take the photograph. Use that target as your fallback instead of repeatedly photographing the same ground-buried husk.
Stack Taking Stock With Other Quests
| Quest | Shared Target | Keep the Actions Separate |
|---|---|---|
| Dormant Barons | Baron Husks | Its husk-search objective is separate from the Taking Stock photograph. |
| Settled in Full | Bastions | The Buried City ping can share a map visit with an active Bastion task. |
| Bombing Run | Bombardiers | The Dam Battlegrounds ping can share a map visit with an active Bombardier task. |
The photo and ping do not replace another quest's objectives. Use the ARC Raiders quest hub to compare those tasks before combining a run.
How to Extract and Turn In
Return to Cassio in Speranza for the Industrial Battery delivery and reward claim. Extract any batteries you loot during these runs, and keep the Basic Camera for your remaining photo objective.
The ARC Raiders maps hub provides the map references for planning the separate photo and ping trips.
Rewards
| Reward | Type | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 2 Jolt Mines | Deployable | Quest reward from Cassio. |
| 1 Advanced Electrical Components | Material | Quest reward from Cassio. |
| 8,000 XP | Experience | Experience reward for completing the quest. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Where Can You Replace a Lost Camera?
Shani sells cameras for coins. Her shop provides a replacement route without relying on finding another camera in loot.
Do You Have to Kill the ARC You Ping?
No. Taking Stock asks you to ping the Bombardier or Bastion, not destroy it or collect its parts.
Does Taking Stock Use the New Pendola Pass Map?
No. Frozen Trail adds the quest, but its field objectives use older maps rather than a route around Pendola Pass.
