ARC Raiders Building a Library: All Three Book Locations

Complete Digging Up Dirt before checking Apollo's quest list. The gate comes from a different trader's quest line, so it is easy to miss if you only scan Apollo's previous jobs.

You need Buried City access and the prerequisite complete, but the hard requirement is the one-round rule: all three books must be collected during the same raid and extracted together.

• Bring enough protection to survive a contested City Center run.
• Keep inventory space for all three books.
• Do not leave after one or two books; finish the full circuit before extracting.

The romance, detective and adventure labels do not require you to identify book titles. Each objective is tied to a fixed shelf, and the useful visual cue is the yellow shelving.

There are no quest markers for the books, so scan for yellow shelves and use the staircase, large shelving units and fallen shelves as your landmarks.

Head to the Library in the City Center, near Town Hall and just above Marano Park. Approaching from the south gives a clean route to the ground-floor book and keeps the three pickups in one continuous circuit.

Watch the courtyard before entering. A Bombardier can occupy the central area, and its Spotters can expose your position while the Bombardier fires through the Library's broken ceiling. If you need a refresher on that pairing, see Combat Recon.

The romance book is on the ground floor beside the staircase to the second floor. Enter from the south, turn right and follow the wall to the yellow shelf immediately before the stairs.

1. Approach the yellow shelf beside the staircase.
2. Use the interaction prompt on the shelf.
3. Look down and pick the book up from the ground before moving on.

The detective book is on the second floor on a small yellow shelf set between two larger shelves along the wall to your right.

1. Climb the staircase beside the romance-book shelf.
2. Turn toward the right-hand wall on the second floor.
3. Find the small yellow shelf between the larger units, interact, then pick the dropped book up.

The adventure book is farther along the second floor on the left, near fallen shelving and another stairwell.

1. Continue forward from the detective-book shelf.
2. Use the fallen shelves and nearby stairwell as your confirmation landmarks.
3. Interact with the yellow shelf and pick the book up from the floor.

With all three books in your inventory, leave the Library and use the metro entrance directly outside for the shortest extraction route toward Northern Station.

Expect ARC Pods, Fireballs and other raiders around the station. Dying with the books unprotected or leaving with fewer than three means repeating the full collection circuit.

If Building a Library appears stuck, first check the one-round requirement and make sure all three books were physically picked up after the shelf interactions. Partial collection does not complete the quest, and interacting with a shelf is not enough if the dropped book remains on the floor.

Treat a failed or partial run as a reset: return to the Library, collect all three books again in one raid and extract with all three in your inventory.

The follow-up sends you to a Baron Husk, where breaching the husk triggers a detonation, so plan the interaction with room to disengage.
