The platinum asks for a Madhouse clear, every antique coin on that difficulty, and a run inside four hours that barely touches healing or the item box. Before The Capture And After It

The first save sits in the opening hours, before Jack Baker captures Ethan. It carries max cassette tapes, max First Aid Meds and max handgun ammo. The second picks up after the capture with max handgun ammo, max antique coins, max gunpowder, max herbs and 99 cassette tapes in the item box and in your pockets. Both saves also hold an Infinite Ammo coin in the inventory.

Tapes matter more than anything else on this difficulty. Cassette Tapes only exist on Madhouse, and each manual save at a tape recorder uses one, much like the ink ribbons of older games. With a stack in hand, you save before every risky door. Gunpowder and herbs feed the crafting menu: Gunpowder and Chem Fluid make handgun ammo, and a Herb with Chem Fluid makes a First Aid Med.

Spending Antique Coins On Madhouse

Antique Coins open the locked bird cages around the estate. On Easy and Normal, they buy Steroids (3 coins) for a permanent jump in max health, a Stabilizer (5) for faster reloads and the 44 MAG (9), the hardest-hitting gun in the game. Madhouse adds the Assault Coin (8) for extra damage, the Iron Defense Coin (7) for extra defense and the Scorpion Key (3).

Normally you cannot have all six. The Madhouse cages ask for 35 coins in total, and the difficulty only hides 33. A maxed coin count settles that.

What Biosplattered Asks For

Trophy guides put Biosplattered, the platinum, at 20-30 hours over three playthroughs, and 31 of the 38 trophies can be missed. Who's Your Daddy Now? is the Madhouse clear. Mad Pelicans wants all 33 antique coins on Madhouse, and Pelicans in Your Pocket wants all 18 on Easy or Normal. The two endings are trophies of their own: give the cure to Mia for one, to Zoe for the other.

The three golds come together in one fast run. Just Get Me Outta Here wants the story inside four hours, Resource Manager allows three item box openings at most, and Walk it Off allows three First Aid Meds. Finishing under four hours also unlocks the Circular Saw, a melee weapon that never runs dry. On top of that sit 20 Mr. Everywhere statuettes for Mr. Nowhere, every file in one run, and the Happy Birthday tape inside five minutes for Out Before Dessert.

Which List, And What The DLC Means

The PS5 version from June 2022 has its own list, apart from the PS4 one, so choose your console at checkout. We unlock the full base list of 38, the one the platinum is built on. The DLC episodes, Not a Hero and End of Zoe among them, carry trophies of their own outside the platinum.
