Kijuju runs on two currencies. Money pays for guns and upgrades in Item Management between chapters, and Exchange Points pay for costumes, figurines and infinite ammo in Bonus Features. Money, Points And A Full Item Management
The save starts with max money and max points. Money is spent in Item Management, the screen you pass through before every chapter, where you buy guns, sell treasures and pay for upgrades. The save already has every item and upgrade in Item Management, and both Chris's and Sheva's inventories carry plenty of every ammo type and item.
That matters more than it sounds. Each partner carries only nine items, and a herb fills a slot just as a grenade launcher does, so two stocked loadouts save a lot of shuffling.
Exchange Points are paid out at the end of every chapter, based on difficulty and how well you played. Bonus Features turns them into costumes, screen filters, figurines and infinite ammo. Infinite ammo for one gun normally takes that gun fully upgraded plus 6,000-20,000 points. The save has infinite ammo unlocked in Special Settings, so you switch it on and stop counting rounds.
Professional From The Main Menu
Normally Professional opens only after every chapter is cleared on Veteran. Here it is unlocked, and all chapters are open in chapter select. The save sits at the main menu rather than partway through a chapter, so you choose the difficulty yourself before you start.
Professional plays like a different game. Fixed ammo pickups vanish from the maps, enemies and crates stop dropping herbs, and Majini melee attacks hit far harder. When you go down, your partner has under three seconds to reach you. Infinite ammo and full inventories take a lot of the sting out of that.
Thirty BSAA Emblems, Already Shot
BSAA emblems are the pale blue octagonal medals tucked into the story chapters, and you collect one by shooting it. There are 30, many of them high up or far off. After a full clear, 25 emblems unlock Chris's S.T.A.R.S. outfit and all 30 unlock Sheva's Tribal outfit. Many figurines in Bonus Features also need a set number of emblems before they go on sale. The save has all of them.
What The 71 Trophies Ask For
Trophy guides put the platinum at around 30 hours. Professional only opens after a Veteran clear, so the minimum is two full runs. War Hero, the only gold on the list, is every chapter on Professional. The difficulty trophies stack, so the Veteran clear also pays out Recruit and Soldier.
After that comes the checklist. They Belong in a Museum wants every treasure, Stockpile every weapon, and Take It to the Max every weapon fully upgraded, a bill of about 1.4 million in money. Egg Hunt wants all four egg types, and the figurine trophy wants the whole set. Bull's-eye, Cattle Prod and Crowd Control each ask for 30 kills with one weapon: the Longbow, the Stun Rod and the Gatling Gun.
The PS4 list also carries 20 DLC trophies. Lost in Nightmares sends Chris and Jill into one of Spencer's estates in 2006, and wants an S rank, a Professional clear and all 18 Score stars. Desperate Escape hands the story to Josh Stone and Jill, and wants its own S rank and Professional clear, plus three Agitator Majini in one run. Versus is the wall. It is an online mode, and four of its trophies ask for 15 wins each in Slayers, Survivors, Team Slayers and Team Survivors. We unlock those as well.
One PS4 List, Two Ways To Timestamp It
Resident Evil 5 reached PS4 on 28 June 2016 with the DLC built in, and that version has one trophy list. It is the list we unlock, the same list whether you play on a PS4 or a PS5.
