What Max Level, Mirian And Skill Points Change
Talion's level cap is 60, and trophy guides note you usually hit it during the Shadow Wars, after the main story. Levels matter early, too. A third assault team slot opens at level 20, and many skills sit behind level requirements as well as story progress. Starting at the cap removes the level side of that wait.
Skill points normally come from levelling, open-world activities and purifying every Haedir tower in a region. With the maximum banked, you can buy what you want as soon as the story opens it. That covers the predator skills for silent kills and the mounted skills that call a Caragor, a Graug or a Drake to your side.
Mirian is the money of Mordor. You earn it by killing enemies and selling gear you don't need. Each gem slot costs 1,000 Mirian and each siege upgrade for an assault team costs 700. Before the Shadow Wars, the same money buys defense upgrades for your fortresses. A full purse turns all of that into a few menu clicks.
Building An Army Out Of Orcs
The map is split into five regions, and four of them hold a fortress run by an overlord. You dominate captains, turn some into spies, and send your followers in to take each fortress. Every captain has a name and a rank, and the ones who kill you come back stronger. A max-level Talion with skill points to spend makes it far quicker to recruit the army you want.
What The Bright Lord Takes
Trophy guides rate the platinum around 3.5 out of 10 and 40-50 hours on easy, in one playthrough. Difficulty doesn't matter. The pain is the endgame. Peace in Death asks you to finish the Shadow Wars, a long run of fortress defenses against armies that grow stronger at every stage. Master Forger wants a top-tier gem, which guides suggest leaving until the end.
Three trophies are missable, and all of them hang on fortress conquests. The Operative wants every bodyguard of a warchief turned into a spy before you confront him. It Came From Within wants every warchief of a fortress recruited before the assault. Vandal wants a monument destroyed in an enemy camp before that region's fortress falls. The first chance for all three is the Núrnen fortress in Act 2.
The rest is cleanup across the map: 15 Fight Pit missions, every Shelob memory for The Web Revealed, an Ithildin door and the Gondorian Artifacts. Stalemate is Victory, the list's only gold, arrives when you defeat the Witch-king and reclaim Minas Morgul at the end of Act 3.
