A New Game With The Workbench Already Done
The save puts you at the start of a new game with everything unlocked. Every weapon is unlocked and upgraded to maximum: the Plasma Cutter, Pulse Rifle, Ripper, Flamethrower, Contact Beam, Line Gun and Force Gun. Every suit is unlocked and upgraded to maximum too.
Here is what that skips. Each gun has three upgrade parts hidden around the ship, 21 in all, and some sit behind Security Clearance Level 3 or the Master Override. The suit needs its own upgrades to reach level 6. Filling every tree then takes 189 Power Nodes. One full playthrough gives about 90, so the rest come from a second run and from the store, at 10,000 credits a node.
A maxed Plasma Cutter and a top-level suit change the whole run. Brutes, the Leviathan and the quarantine rooms fall faster, and your credits go on ammo and health instead of nodes.
The 2023 Remake, On PS5 Or PC
This page is for the 2023 remake by Motive Studio, not the 2008 original. The remake keeps the story and the Ishimura but changes a lot: Isaac now speaks, weapons arrive through the story instead of store blueprints, and the ship is one connected space you can roam. On PlayStation it is a PS5 game, and its trophy list is the PS5 one. Pick PS5 or PC for the save at checkout.
What Concordance Officer Asks For
Trophy guides estimate 25-40 hours for the platinum, Concordance Officer, over two or three playthroughs. The two golds set the pace. Maxed Out wants every weapon and all equipment fully upgraded. Untouchable wants the story finished on Impossible.
Impossible uses Hard's damage numbers, turns autosave off and gives you a single save slot. If Isaac dies, that slot is turned into a Hard save, and the Impossible run is over. Beating it unlocks the Burnished Suit and the Hand Cannon for your next playthrough.
One Gun wants the whole story finished firing nothing but the Plasma Cutter, though stomps, kinesis and thrown objects are allowed. Trusted Contractor wants a full clear of the second playthrough. Reunion, the alternative ending, needs all 12 Marker Fragments, which only appear on that second playthrough, placed in Captain Mathius's office on the Crew Deck. Six bronzes want 30 kills each with the Pulse Rifle, Flamethrower, Ripper, Force Gun, Line Gun and Contact Beam.
Before The End Of Chapter 11
The Ishimura stays open for backtracking until the point of no return at the end of Chapter 11. Use it. Front Toward Enemy is the Shooting Gallery on the USM Valor in Chapter 9, and the Valor cannot be revisited. Z-Baller wants level 6 of Zero-G Basketball on the Crew Deck, which takes 220 points. Full Clearance means finding seven crew RIGs to build the Master Security Override, and Legend Teller wants 150 of the 188 logs. Peng hides in the Cargo Bay in Chapter 11.
