Quick Answer
- Complete all four main tasks in one round: reach Northern Tracks, visit Almatera Station, ping a Bully, and ping a Skulker.
- Visit Almatera Station, then continue north along the railway if Northern Tracks is still unchecked, staying inside the playable boundary.
- No damage or kills are needed for the pings, and both destroying three Skulkers and delivering a Skulker Targeter are optional.
- Accepting the quest supplies 2 Lure Grenades and 3 Adrenaline Shots.
- Main rewards: 3 Showstopper, 1 Grappling Hook, and 5,000 XP. Optional reward: Wolfpack.
Requirements
- Complete Exploring Pendola Pass, then accept Tracks of the Beast from Shani.
- Have access to Pendola Pass.
- Complete the Northern Tracks visit, Almatera Station visit, Bully ping, and Skulker ping in one round.
- Collect the 2 Lure Grenades and 3 Adrenaline Shots supplied when you accept the quest.
- Bring healing for the journey and ammunition if you intend to attempt the optional Skulker fights.
The quest's IN ONE ROUND group covers all four main tasks, not just the station visits.
Earlier in the chain, Off The Radar unlocks Exploring Pendola Pass. Use the ARC Raiders maps hub for the wider location guides.
Head to the Northern Tracks
Almatera Station and Northern Tracks have separate visit checkmarks. The railway beside Researcher Lodgings is an approach landmark, not a substitute for checking the Northern Tracks objective.
- Use the railway beside Researcher Lodgings to orient yourself toward Almatera Station.
- Visit Almatera Station and check its separate destroyed-station objective.
- Continue north along the railway if Northern Tracks is still unchecked.
- Check that both location objectives have registered before leaving the rail area.
Stay within the playable boundary rather than following the tracks beyond the map edge.
Railroad Junction is not the Railyard. Those are separate locations, and the Railyard tower belongs to Exploring Pendola Pass.
Find the Destroyed Station: Almatera Station
Almatera Station is the destroyed station named by this objective. Its checkmark is separate from the Northern Tracks visit.
- Head to the named Almatera Station location.
- Enter the station area to complete the visit objective.
- If Northern Tracks is still unchecked, continue north along the railway and check for its own completion tick.
Do not follow the line to its literal end. The tracks extend beyond the playable boundary, and neither visit asks you to leave the map.
Ping a Bully and a Skulker
Aim at the enemy itself and use your assigned Ping action. These are scouting objectives, not damage objectives.
Find and Ping a Bully
Check beside the ruined bus at the Commissary Supermarket for a Bully. It can close distance quickly, so look from cover instead of moving into its path.
- Get a clear view of a Bully from a position with cover.
- Aim at the machine and use Ping.
Find and Ping a Skulker
Look near ground level along the rail route for a Skulker, a turret machine that locks on before firing at range. Use cover and move out of its line of fire when it starts locking on.
- Locate a Skulker while moving through the area.
- Aim at the machine and use Ping.
Choose the Pendola Pass raid boost for support while scouting the rail area and its ARC threats.
Optional: Destroy 3 Skulkers and Deliver a Targeter
Destroy 3 Skulkers and Deliver a Skulker Targeter to Shani are both optional objectives. Neither is required for the four main tasks, and you do not need to destroy either enemy to satisfy its ping objective.
Optional: Destroy 3 Skulkers
Use grenades or gunfire against three Skulkers for the optional kill objective. Attack from cover and move when a machine starts locking on.
Optional: Deliver a Skulker Targeter to Shani
A kill does not automatically put a Targeter in your inventory.
- Search a Skulker wreck and take a Skulker Targeter if one is in its loot.
- Keep one Targeter for Shani's optional delivery.
- Return it to Shani in Speranza for the hand-in.
How to Extract and Turn In
Complete both location visits and both enemy pings in the same round. Use a Ballistic Gondola shown on your map for the return to Speranza.
Shani handles the quest turn-in and the separate optional Skulker Targeter delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Does a Skulker Look Like?
A Skulker is a low ground machine with a turret that rises from its body. Look close to the ground rather than searching the sky for a flying ARC.
Why Does My Controller Layout Differ From Older Guides?
Frozen Trail changed the default gamepad mapping. Check the Ping action in your controls menu for the binding used by your setup.
What Other Quest Uses the Almatera Station Area?
Sizing Things Up has a crashed-probe option beside an Emperor leg near Almatera Station. Inspecting that probe is a separate interaction from the station visit in Tracks of the Beast.
