Quick Answer
- Choose two: photograph the leg outside Old Town, inspect the probe west of Porta Benvenuti near Almatera Station, or analyse the leg near Railroad Junction.
- The photo uses the supplied Basic Camera, but the probe-and-analysis pair needs no camera.
- Use BREACH, then INSPECT at the probe in one raid, even when splitting your Part 1 choices across raids.
- In Part 2, reach the base and search its buried payload in one raid, then separately pick up the ARC Conductive Coupler and return it to Celeste.
- Rewards: 3 Adrenaline Shots, Exodus Technical Handbook, 60 Heavy Ammo, Bettina I, and 5,000 XP.
Requirements
- Complete Off The Radar and accept Sizing Things Up from Celeste.
- Have access to Pendola Pass.
- Equip the supplied Basic Camera when choosing the photo option.
- Keep the probe and circuitry together in one raid, then keep the base and payload together in one raid for Part 2.
The ARC Conductive Coupler is not an upfront item. You obtain it from the buried payload during Part 2 and deliver it to Celeste afterward.
The ARC Raiders maps hub is the starting point for the wider map guides.
Part 1: Do 2 of These 3 Emperor Leg Tasks
Only two completed options are needed to advance. Your two choices can be completed in separate raids, but opening the probe and inspecting its circuitry form one same-raid sequence.
Photograph the Emperor's Leg Outside Old Town
For a raised photo position, stand on the snow-covered fallen leg beside the bridge outside Old Town near Transit Tunnel, then face the other exposed Emperor leg. The bridge below is an alternative photo position, so you do not need to enter Old Town.
- Move onto the snow-covered fallen leg beside the bridge, or use the bridge below.
- Equip the Basic Camera and frame the other exposed Emperor leg.
- Take the photograph to complete this option.
Inspect the Crashed Probe Near Almatera Station
Find the crashed probe beside the Emperor's leg west of Porta Benvenuti, near Almatera Station. Breaching the probe only opens it, so finish the separate circuitry inspection before leaving the raid.
- Reach the crashed probe beside the leg west of Porta Benvenuti.
- Use BREACH to open the probe.
- Use INSPECT on the circuitry inside during the same raid.
Analyse the Emperor's Leg at Railroad Junction
This option uses the exposed area on top of the leg near Railroad Junction. It is an interaction, not another camera photograph.
- Reach the Emperor's leg near Railroad Junction.
- Climb onto the leg to the exposed area.
- Use the analysis interaction at the exposed section.
Railroad Junction is not the Railyard. Exploring Pendola Pass uses the tallest tower in the Railyard, not this Emperor leg.
Part 2: Reach the Emperor's Base and Search the Buried Harvester Payload
Complete Part 1 to reveal this pair of objectives. Visit the base first, then search the payload in the same raid.
Face the fallen Emperor's large central doorway. The cylindrical Buried Harvester Payload is partly buried in the snow to your right as you face that doorway.
- Reach the base of the fallen Emperor to register the first objective.
- Find the cylindrical payload in the snow to your right while facing the Emperor's large central doorway.
- Search the Buried Harvester Payload before leaving that raid.
- Use the separate PICKUP interaction to collect the ARC Conductive Coupler.
Searching is not the pickup. Collect the Coupler, then follow the delivery objective: Deliver the ARC Conductive Coupler to Celeste.
This route reaches the Emperor's exterior base, not its interior.
Choose the Pendola Pass raid boost for support with the same-raid base and payload route.
Troubleshooting: Missing Completion Cinematic
The completion cinematic for Sizing Things Up can fail to play.
Use the quest entry to distinguish a missing cinematic from an unfinished objective rather than repeating the route solely because no cutscene appeared.
How to Extract and Turn In
- Check that the ARC Conductive Coupler is in your inventory after using the separate pickup prompt.
- Use a Ballistic Gondola shown on the raid map to return to Speranza with the Coupler.
- Open Sizing Things Up with Celeste and deliver the ARC Conductive Coupler.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where Can You Replace a Lost Camera?
Shani sells cameras, and you can also craft one at the Workbench or find one Topside. These are replacement options when you intend to take the photo route.
What Prompt Identifies the Buried Harvester Loot?
The world interaction reads SEARCH BURIED PAYLOAD. That is the shorter prompt for the container named Buried Harvester Payload in the quest.
Which Other Quest Uses the Almatera Station Area?
Tracks of the Beast sends you to the destroyed station at Almatera Station. That station visit is separate from the crashed-probe interaction used here.
