Convictions, Votes And Who Joins You
Serenoa's three convictions are hidden scores. Dialogue choices, votes and even battlefield habits push Morality, Utility or Liberty up. A first playthrough never shows them, and the Sundry Shop only reveals the numbers from chapter 5 of a second run. They decide how far you can sway allies before a vote, and they gate recruits. Several units only join once a conviction passes a set value, and the highest any of them asks for is 1,600. At 9999 in all three, no conviction check stands in your way.
A Roster Built For Hard Battles
Promotions run from Recruit to Veteran to Elite. Each step costs a Medal of Bravery or a Medal of Valor, which come from story battles or Archibald's Sundry Shop. Weapon upgrades at Jens's forge cost coin and materials, and the third-rank materials are rare enough that you end up buying a lot of them with kudos. That third rank is where each unit's weapon skill sits. The save has the classes maxed and every weapon skill learned, and Hossabara's mental mock battles are already cleared on Hard.
The accessories go beyond shop stock. The Plume of Immortality gives a 50% chance to revive with no limit, and it normally takes finishing an ending without losing a unit. The Grounding Amulet stops pushes and knockback, and the Strength Bracelet comes at max quantity. Firestones, Icestones, Thunderstones and Windstones let any unit set the ground ablaze, freeze it, spread lightning through water or fan a fire.
Why The Platinum Takes Four Playthroughs
Weaver of Histories wants every chapter, and at some points the story offers four different chapters at once. That alone means four full runs. Notes for Avid Reader and information for Wise Warrior sit inside those branching chapters, so one missed sparkle can cost a fifth. Grand Finale, the fourth path, needs set votes in chapters 7, 9, 10 and 15 and exact answers in chapter 17.
The rest is volume. Thirty pinnacle of strength trophies each want one unit at Elite class, max weapon rank and the level 50 cap. Twenty-nine more want every character story, which open after five and ten deployments. Tavern Regular wants all 35 mental mock battles in a single playthrough, and the last one only appears after all four endings. Defender of Morality, Seeker of Utility and Believer of Liberty each want 5,000 points. A Heavy Purse adds 1,000,000 coins.
