Attribute, Skill And Weapon Points To Burn

Warband builds a character from four attributes. Strength adds health and melee damage. Agility speeds up your swings and hands out weapon points. Intelligence gives extra skill points, and Charisma raises your party size. Every 3 points in an attribute lets the skills tied to it climb one more level.

With the pools maxed, you can push Power Strike and Ironflesh for a front-line knight, or Riding and Horse Archery for a Khergit-style raider. You can also stack the party skills your companions usually carry: Surgery, Path-finding, Tactics and Engineer. Weapon points go straight into your proficiencies, so you can raise your sword, lance or bow skill before the first fight.

Denars From Day One

Money is the slow part of an early Warband campaign. Trophy guides suggest betting on yourself in tournaments, then buying dye-works at 10,000 denars each and waiting for the profits to roll in. Book merchants charge a fortune for a single book, and the poems you need to court a lady cost 300 denars apiece.

Max denars skips all of that. Recruit and upgrade a full company, buy the best armour and horses in the nearest town, and fund an enterprise in every city. Then put your effort into sieges and politics instead.

Why The Platinum Takes Around 70 Hours

Trophy guides rate this list 6 out of 10 and estimate around 70 hours over two playthroughs. Six trophies need a female character. Empress, a gold, asks her to rule all of Calradia, and others want 50 renown, 50 kills of men and a great sword handed to a companion. Heart Breaker, an elopement, only works with a male character, which forces a second, shorter run.

Several trophies can be missed for good. Kingmaker means putting one of the six pretenders on their throne. Manifest Destiny means helping an original faction conquer Calradia, and both are gone once your own kingdom takes everything. The grind trophies stack up too: 500 enemies killed or wounded by you, 5,000 by your army, 100,000 denars held at once, and 75 kills each with horse archery and throwing weapons.

Thirteen Multiplayer Trophies

Thirteen trophies only unlock in online matches. You need round wins in Battle, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Siege defence, plus a win in Conquest. The kill trophies include 50 kills with slashing weapons, 25 mounted lance kills, 50 with throwing axes and 100 with ranged attacks from horseback.
