Far Cry New Dawn Modded Saves & Platinum Trophy

Far Cry New Dawn puts a price on everything. Prosperity's eight facilities run on ethanol that you raid from Highwaymen outposts, and every gun on the Workbench wants duct tape, gears, titanium or carbon fiber. The enemies come in ranks, too. Higher-rank Highwaymen soak up low-rank guns, so you scavenge, craft and upgrade before you can push on.

We carry two saves at $50 each, and both start at the beginning of the game. The modded starter save unlocks every skill, builds up the base and crafts your first two ranks of weapons. The Max Items starter save fills your perk points, materials and ammo instead. New Dawn is a PS4 game that runs on PS5 through backward compatibility, and the Far Cry New Dawn Platinum Trophy starts at $15.

Two Starter Saves, Two Shortcuts

The modded starter save is the skills file. Every skill is unlocked, the perks that take extra ranks are stacked to 25, and 999 skill points wait for anything you add later. Those are the perks with extra ranks, such as More Medkits, More Throwables and More Light Ammo. Prosperity's base is already upgraded, every Rank I and Rank II weapon is crafted, and your materials are maxed. It comes as a male and a female save, so you pick your Captain.

The Max Items starter save is the supplies file. It maxes your perk points, crafting materials, consumables, ammo, special ammo and trade items, and leaves the skill choices to you. On checkout its platform list shows PS4 only. Pick PS4 even if you play on a PS5, because that is the version you are running.

Weapon Ranks, Ethanol And The Workbench

New Dawn sorts Highwaymen into four ranks, ending with Elites, and your guns follow the same ladder. The Workbench crafts Rank I from the start. Rank II costs 100 ethanol, Rank III needs 500 and Prosperity level 2, and Elite weapons need 700 and Prosperity level 3.

Ethanol comes from outposts, supply drops and hijacked tanker trucks. You can hold an outpost or scavenge it for a bigger payout, which hands it back to the Highwaymen at a higher rank. Crafting also eats Duct Tape, Components, Gears, Titanium, Circuit Boards and Carbon Fiber. Trade items are the skins and loot you swap for those materials at the Workbench, so a maxed stack keeps the crafting going.

What The New Dawn Platinum Asks For

Trophy guides call it one of the quickest Far Cry platinums: 10-15 hours at 3.5/10, any difficulty, one playthrough. My Little Fortress wants all eight facilities, from the Garage to Cartography, built to their third level. All Your Bases wants each of the 10 outposts taken at Rank III, which means capturing every one three times. Hit the Road asks for all seven Expeditions, Alcatraz Island and the I.S.S. Crash Site among them, at Rank III.

Anger Management is the hardest: 10 kills inside one activation of Wrath, a New Eden perk you only get in Act 2. Honorary Scout is the one semi-missable, because scouts stop appearing once you buy every map at Cartography. Closed for Applications, for all eight Guns for Hire from Timber to Horatio, glitches for some players. Have Buddy, Will Travel is the only online trophy and needs a co-op Expedition.
