900 Perk Points Against 50 Perks
Far Cry 5 has 50 perks in five trees: Survivalist, Renegade, Assassin, Prepper and Leader. Added together they cost a little under 300 points, so 900 buys every one of them with plenty left over. Each perk magazine in Hope County is worth a single point, and there are 172 of them.
Spend the points on what changes the game first. Airdrop lets you parachute in whenever you fast travel. Health Boost 4 takes you to 300% health. Additional Holster and Weapons Collector open a third and a fourth weapon slot. Leadership lets two Guns or Fangs for Hire fight beside you once you have hired three specialists, so Boomer can mark targets while Cheeseburger the bear mauls them.
Cash, Hangars And Every Vehicle
The 800,000 in cash goes a long way at the gun stores, clothing racks and vehicle shops. Trophy guides note that the story pays roughly 35,000 dollars, while the Big Spender trophy alone wants 50,000 spent at vehicle shops. With this much in the bank, a new sight, a silencer and a fresh outfit all fit in one visit.
The vehicles are already unlocked, so the hangars and boat shops hand out planes from the start. That covers the seaplanes with machine guns and bombs, the trucks and the helicopters. The save also puts DLC weapons in your inventory where they are compatible, including the Mars laser weapons and the Vietnam gear.
A Second Playthrough And The Infamous Trophy
The save's progress is set up for a second playthrough, with its resources stacked. A free update in August 2018 added the option to replay the story from the start, along with a new Infamous difficulty. Infamous, a silver, asks you to finish that second run on Infamous and pick the Resist ending.
What The Far Cry 5 Platinum Asks For
The base game is a gentle platinum. Trophy guides rate it 2/10 at about 20 hours, with nothing missable and every region open after Dutch's island. Together Forever needs the Resist ending, though you can replay the last mission if you walk away. The longer tasks are Been There, Done That (16 animals and 12 fish) and Hope County Master Angler, whose last rod means beating fish records at HARD spots in all three regions.
The online part is Far Cry Arcade. ARCADE Competitor wants 10 wins on featured multiplayer maps, and Hitting it Off needs a friend for three co-op quests.
