Demon's Souls punishes death in two ways. You drop the souls you were carrying on your bloodstain, and a death in body form sends you back as a spirit with a shorter health bar. Levels come from the Maiden in Black in the Nexus, and good weapons need upgrade stones. Many of those stones come from Crystal Lizards that run and vanish, and in the remake their spawns are limited.

A Temple Knight At The Level Cap
Soul Level 712 is as high as Demon's Souls goes. Your level is the sum of your eight attributes minus 80, so 712 means every attribute sits at 99. No weapon, catalyst, spell or miracle in Boletaria asks for more than that. The class is Temple Knight, the halberd fighter who also heals with miracles.
Souls are both experience and money here. A billion of them covers the soul prices at Sage Freke, Yuria and Saint Urbain, every merchant's stock and the soul cost of every upgrade. Some spells and miracles also cost a boss's Demon's Soul, though. The miracles Banish and God's Wrath ask for the Golden and Dragon Demon Souls, and no amount of souls replaces those.
Boletarian Palace 1-1 is already cleared. Phalanx is dead, so the other four Archstones are open from the Nexus. The character carries a ring that raises item discovery, which in the remake is the Providential Ring, and 99 of every healing item. This is a ready-made character from our team, not one you created.
What The Complete Bundle Drops
The bundle is for players who want to keep their own character and skip the farming. It brings every weapon, every bow and crossbow, every talisman and catalyst, every shield and every armor piece: helmets, chest armor, gauntlets and leggings. You get 999 of each ammunition type, 99 of each consumable and 99 of each upgrade stone.
Those numbers match what Stockpile Thomas can hold for you in the Nexus. You don't carry stones to the anvil either. Leave them with Thomas, and Boldwin works from them for Hardstone, Sharpstone and Clearstone. Ed in the Stonefang Tunnel takes the rest, from Dragonstone and Bladestone to Moonlightstone.

Thirty Rings, Two Tendencies And Several Runs
Trophy guides put the Demon's Souls platinum at 40 to 50 hours for a first Souls game, and around 7 out of 10 for difficulty. Almost everything outside the story and the online trophies can be missed in a given run. Plan on two or three playthroughs.
King of Rings is the main reason. It wants all 30 rings, four of them new to the remake. The Providential Ring is a starting gift, or a trade with Sparkly the Crow in 4-1 for the Large Sword of Searching. The Sodden Ring only appears in Upper Latria when that world is Pure Black. One ring comes from the Monumental when your Character Tendency is Pure White. The Foe's Ring needs the opposite: Pure Black tendency and Mephistopheles' contracts, which end with Yuria's death.
Sage's Trophy and Saint's Trophy want all 22 spells and all 12 miracles. Yuria, Sage Freke and Saint Urbain all have to be rescued first. Yuria's rescue changed in the remake: the Fat Official on her stairs only lowers them for someone in the full Official's set. Since boss souls run out, the spell and miracle lists usually spill into a second playthrough.
Legacy of the Kings asks Blacksmith Ed to fuse the False King's Demon Soul, the Soulbrandt and the Demonbrandt into the Northern Regalia, and trophy guides plan it for the second playthrough. Ed only forges with boss souls after you give him the Searing Demon Soul from Flamelurker, which earns Road to Possibilities. Seekest soul power is the ending where you kill the Maiden in Black. Then come the boss conditions. Leave the Tower Knight's archers alive, never hit a Fool's Idol clone, and keep Garl Vinland alive while Maiden Astraea dies.
World Tendency gates two more. Satsuki only waits in the Shrine of Storms when it is Pure White, and Istarelle only appears in the Valley of Defilement under the same condition. Return to Form and Unwelcome Guest need other players: one for helping a host beat a boss, one for killing a host as an invader.
