Dead Island makes you nurse your gear. Weapons wear out, a badly damaged one costs far more to repair, and firearms don't turn up until the second half of the story. What The Save Changes On Banoi
Normal loot in Dead Island is random, scaled to your level and slowly falling apart. The save swaps that for a full armoury. Every melee weapon that carries its own name is in the inventory, along with every throwable and a few firearms with normal ammo and no mods. Backpack space and ammo capacity are pushed so high they never fill. Craft parts sit above 2,000 each, so any blueprint mod is one trip to the workbench.
The combat side is just as loud. Every hit is a critical. Critical effects such as short-circuit stay on the target instead of wearing off. Fury, each survivor's rage mode, can be triggered again after it ends. The Tackle skill is unlocked, and the Boomerang skill sits at 100%, so a thrown weapon returns to your hand every time. In Logan's normal skill tree, the Boomerang line stops at a 50% chance.
Two Weapons Built For Two Rare Trophies
Two items in the save have a clear job. A heavily modded hammer is there for Can't touch this, which wants 15 zombies killed in a row with a hammer without taking any damage. The Fury Colt, a modded revolver, is there for 10 heads are better than 1: ten headshot kills in a row. Trophy trackers put them at 2.8% and 1.2% of PS4 players.
Where The Platinum Drags
Trophy guides rate the list 5 out of 10 and estimate around 40 hours. One full story run covers most of it. The rest is extra work. Right 4 Life wants Act I finished with all four survivors: Sam B, Logan, Purna and Xian Mei. School of hard knocks wants level 50, which normally takes about two playthroughs. There and back again asks you to explore the whole island, and Nearly there wants 120 collectibles.
Three strange ones finish the list off. How many days exactly? only unlocks when you play at least 28 days after first starting the game. Swing them sticks wants 150 kills with Analog Fighting controls turned on. Light my fire needs ten zombies burning at the same time. The same trackers put the platinum itself at 0.6%.
Eight Trophies That Need Other Players
Six base trophies need online co-op. Need a hand? wants you to join another player's game. Together in the light asks for five quests in one co-op session with the same partners, and Going steady for 25 quests with at least one partner. Ménage à trois needs five quests with three partners. Originality needs a team of four different survivors. People Person, at 1.5%, needs ten different co-op partners for at least 15 minutes each.
The Bloodbath Arena adds two more. Wave and Smile wants any Arena played in co-op, and Morituri te salutant wants 30 straight waves with at least one other player. Ten partners and a full four-survivor team is a lot to ask from a game that came out in 2016.

The Definitive Edition has one trophy list, the PS4 one, and it stays the same when you play on a PS5. The 2011 version has its own separate list, so this service is for the Definitive Edition.
