How to Get Acid Lab in GTA 5 Online

Many GTA 5 Online Acid Lab guides blur together the First Dose mission chain, the separate Setup: Acid Lab Equipment mission, and the optional Equipment Upgrade. That is why some players finish Off the Rails and still think the business should already be live.

This guide covers the two legitimate ways to get the Acid Lab, the real standard costs, and the most common progression checks. It does not cover sell strategy, payout optimization, or old GTA+ and weekly event pricing.

The Acid Lab has two legitimate acquisition paths in GTA Online. One path is cheaper. One path is faster.

GTA Online Acid Lab First Dose Route

Category: Primary Unlock Path

This is the normal Acid Lab route. Rockstar starts it with a call from Ron Jakowski, then pushes you into the First Dose story chain. For the cleanest unlock tracking, do the chain on your own hosted path.

1. Answer Ron Jakowski’s call.
2. Go to Liquor Ace in Sandy Shores.
3. Start Welcome to the Troupe.
4. Continue with Designated Driver.
5. Continue with Fatal Incursion.
6. Continue with Uncontrolled Substance.
7. Continue with Make War not Love.
8. Finish Off the Rails on your own hosted path.

GTA Online Acid Lab Equipment Setup

Category: main cause Unlock Step

This is the step many old guides skip. Finishing Off the Rails does not make the business live by itself. You still need the separate Setup: Acid Lab Equipment mission and the real installation purchase at The Freakshop.

1. Start Setup: Acid Lab Equipment.
2. Steal the lab equipment.
3. Deliver the equipment to The Freakshop.
4. Walk to the Vehicle Workshop station.
5. Pay GTA$750,000 to Mutt to install the Acid Lab in the rear of the MTL Brickade 6×6.

GTA Online Acid Lab Fastest Route

Category: Alternative Purchase Path

This route skips the First Dose chain. The current direct purchase path is the MTL Brickade 6×6 from Warstock Cache & Carry. Current listings place it at GTA$1,450,000, and Rockstar describes the Warstock version as including Acid Lab installation.

1. Open Warstock Cache & Carry in GTA Online.
2. Buy the MTL Brickade 6×6.
3. Wait for the purchase to finish.
4. Open the Interaction Menu.
5. Open Services.
6. Check for Acid Lab access.

GTA Online Acid Lab Equipment Upgrade

Category: Optional Upgrade

This is optional. It is not part of the initial Acid Lab unlock. A lot of guides mix up this GTA$250,000 Equipment Upgrade with the real GTA$750,000 installation cost.

1. Call Dax.
2. Complete Fooligan Jobs until you reach 10 total.
3. Return to The Freakshop.
4. Buy the Equipment Upgrade for GTA$250,000.

GTA Online Acid Lab Not Unlocking

Use these checks only if you finished one route and the Acid Lab still is not showing up where it should.

GTA Online Acid Lab Leader Check

Category: Main Check

If you only joined another player’s First Dose missions, your own progression can stay incomplete. Do the chain on your own hosted path if the unlock did not stick.

1. Go back to your own First Dose mission chain.
2. Replay any missing mission on your hosted path.
3. Finish Off the Rails on your hosted path if needed.
4. Check for Setup: Acid Lab Equipment.

GTA Online Acid Lab Setup Check

Category: Main Check

If you finished Off the Rails but never stole the extra equipment, the business is still incomplete. This is the most common point where players stop too early.

1. Confirm that Off the Rails is complete on your own progression path.
2. Look for Setup: Acid Lab Equipment.
3. Finish that setup mission.
4. Deliver the equipment to The Freakshop.
5. Pay the GTA$750,000 installation fee.

GTA Online Acid Lab Warstock Check

Run this check only if you chose the direct purchase path. The Acid Lab is tied to the MTL Brickade 6×6, not the standard MTL Brickade.

1. Confirm you purchased the MTL Brickade 6×6 from Warstock Cache & Carry.
2. Open the Interaction Menu.
3. Open Services.
4. Check for Acid Lab.
5. Go to The Freakshop.
6. Check whether the Brickade 6×6 is stored there.
