ARC Raiders With a Trace: Barren Clearing and Adorned Wreckage Locations

Complete Reduced to Rubble and have access to The Blue Gate. No special gear or extraction item is required.

A light loadout is enough because both objectives sit on quieter map edges and the quest does not require extraction. The main challenge is identifying the correct evidence object and communications device.

Barren Clearing is on the western to northwestern side of The Blue Gate, near the Village and left of Raider's Refuge.

1. Move toward the west edge of the map instead of searching the eastern side.
2. Use the Village and Raider's Refuge as reference landmarks to narrow the approach.
3. Look for the open clearing with very few trees and several large downed ARC machines scattered across it.

Reaching the clearing registers the location step and puts you next to the evidence needed for the following objective.

The signs are a small silver metal ball-like object beside the downed ARC machinery in Barren Clearing, with wires leading away from the wreckage toward it.

1. Stand near the main downed ARC husk in Barren Clearing.
2. Follow the visible wires away from the machine rather than searching the centre of the clearing.
3. Find the metal ball-like object a short distance from the husk.
4. Use the Investigate prompt to register the evidence.

Adorned Wreckage is south of Barren Clearing and is easy to recognise by the large wreckage covered in cables and dishes.

1. Leave Barren Clearing heading south instead of crossing back toward the centre of the map.
2. Watch for the dense wreckage field with cables, dishes and broken machine sections.
3. Enter the Adorned Wreckage area to register the location step.

This is the more dangerous of the two quest areas, so clear your immediate surroundings before stopping to search for the final device.

The communications device is a small yellow computer on a makeshift table or platform among the Adorned Wreckage, toward the south side around a smaller detached piece of machinery.

1. Search the open platforms around the wreckage instead of climbing the tallest structure first.
2. Look for the small yellow computer sitting on a table-like surface beside the detached wreckage.
3. Use the interaction prompt on the device to complete the quest.

You do not need to extract after this interaction for the quest to register.

With a Trace rewards a Looting Mk.2 Augment and a Medium Shield.

The quest registers even if you do not extract after the final communications-device interaction, with the rewards collected on your next visit to Shani.

With a Trace ends the three-quest Blue Gate introductory chain, and no direct next quest is confirmed. The chain that starts with A First Foothold and continues through Reduced to Rubble.
