ARC Raiders Broken Monument: All Three Item Locations and Bug Fixes

You need access to Dam Battlegrounds and enough protected inventory space to carry three quest items out of the Scrap Yard. Looting Mk. 3 is the best fit because its three safe pockets can protect one item each.

A Raider Hatch Key is optional. It can give you a safer exit than crossing toward Red Lakes Balcony Lift, but it costs resources and is not required. Without three safe pockets, dying can cost you one or more collected items.

The most efficient Scrap Yard loop is vehicles first, cylinders second and the Raider camp last, keeping all three pickups on one sweep rather than treating them as separate objectives.

1. Enter from the south side and use the large spherical tank to orient toward the ruined vehicle rows.
2. Collect the Compass from the container hidden between the vehicles.
3. Move to the two large cylinders and collect the Video Tape from the box in front of the first one.
4. Finish at the Raider camp and collect the Old Field Rations from the interior-wall container.
5. Extract with all three items instead of leaving the Scrap Yard after a partial collection.

The First Wave Compass is in the southern part of the Scrap Yard, hidden between rows of destroyed vehicles near the large spherical tank.

1. Reach the south end of the Scrap Yard and locate the spherical tank.
2. Climb over the ruined vehicles rather than following the open paths around them.
3. Find the small container tucked in the vehicle rows and search it.
4. Pick up the Compass from the ground after the search animation finishes.

That final pickup is mandatory; searching the box alone does not put the Compass into your inventory.

The First Wave Video Tape is by the two large cylinders lying on their sides in the Scrap Yard.

1. Leave the vehicle rows and move toward the pair of large horizontal cylinders.
2. Check in front of the first cylinder for the quest container.
3. Search the container and then pick the Video Tape up from the ground.

Do not move on as soon as the container opens; the item still needs a separate pickup.

The Old Field Rations are inside the Raider camp structure in the Scrap Yard, in a bus-like or field-depot-style shelter.

1. Move from the cylinders toward the Raider camp on the same Scrap Yard loop.
2. Enter the open-sided camp structure and check the interior wall.
3. Search the quest container against that wall.
4. Pick up the Rations from the ground before leaving.

Once all three items are physically in your inventory or safe pockets, head for extraction.

The common failure state is extracting with the Compass, Video Tape and Rations while the quest still refuses to register completion.

Before treating the quest as bugged, confirm that you actually picked each item up from the ground after searching its container and that you collected all three in the same run. If it still fails, the following are community-reported workarounds rather than guaranteed fixes:

1. Continue without unloading after the raid so the quest items stay in your backpack instead of using an unload-backpack action.
2. Clear duplicate quest items from both inventory and stash, then rerun the full three-item route from scratch.
3. Take existing quest items into another raid, drop them, extract, and then attempt a clean run again.

Some players report remaining stuck even after trying these steps, so none of the workarounds should be treated as an official fix.

You must extract with all three quest items for Broken Monument to register, so choose your exit based on how much risk you can carry.

Red Lakes Balcony Lift is northeast of the Scrap Yard but can attract traffic, so scout the approach before committing. A Raider Hatch is the safer alternative if you brought a Raider Hatch Key. If you go down without enough safe pockets, any unprotected quest items can be lost and must be collected again.

Broken Monument's individual reward items are not specified, so no particular item is attached to the completion.
