What A Cleared Save Opens Up
Visions of Mana only shows its last content once clear data is saved after the credits. Loading it opens a post-game chapter that ends with the dark dragon Aeve Zalaha. The Black Rabite, a familiar face from Trials of Mana, waits as an optional superboss in the final story dungeon. This save has the story at 100%, so that post-game content is unlocked, and the second playthrough is ready whenever you want to start over.
Lucre, Corestones And The Dudbear
Qi'Diel runs on more than one currency. Lucre buys weapons, armour and items from town vendors. Corestones trade for Ability Seeds, which tweak abilities and attributes, some by trading one stat for another. Each character can open up to ten Seed slots. Grizzly Syrup is the Dudbear's price for his stock. With almost every currency at 9,999,999, you can kit out Val, Careena, Morley, Palamena and Julei without farming for lucre.
Why The 45 Trophies Take 40-60 Hours
Guides put the full list at 40-60 hours, all in a single run. Ten story trophies run from the prologue to the credits. The rest is a checklist across the world map:
- Expert Exterminator: every Nemesis, including the ones tied to five side quests and the eight Ancient Ruins.
- Know Thine Enemy: a full bestiary. Lizardon only appears when a Tonpole in Dura Gorge transforms, and Shadow Zero-One only shows up on the Floating Isle of Ulul after the story.
- Cactus Confidant, Wanderers of the World and Elemental Odyssey: Li'l Cactus in every area, every meridian and every elementite spot.
- Aeriedynamic: the challenges at every Elemental Aerie.
- Peerless Soul Guard and the other four class trophies: every class for Val, Careena, Morley, Palamena and Julei.
- The Dudbear trophy: 132 items traded for Grizzly Syrup.
The three golds are the story itself, the Black Rabite and Aeve Zalaha on Hard. That last one is the only true missable. Beat the dragon on an easier setting, save over the file, and only a second playthrough gets you another shot.
Edition And Trophy List
The save needs the Digital Deluxe Edition, the version that adds outfits such as Riesz for Careena and Popoi for Julei. The trophy service has no edition limit.
