The Witch and the Hundred Knight is Nippon Ichi's dark fantasy action RPG. Metallia, the self-styled Swamp Witch, summons the legendary Hundred Knight to beat her rival Malia and bury the world in swamp. The little demon turns out far smaller than she hoped. Every trip out of Niblhenne Swamp burns Gcals. If the Hundred Knight gets knocked out, the items it picked up on that run are gone. Weapons, Bucket List perks and shop stock all cost something you have to farm.

Shells, Mana And Anima
Shells are the money. They buy weapons and armor from the shops, and what sits on the shelf depends on how far the story has gone. Mana reinforces weapons, and gear can be pushed a long way: Legendary pieces go up to level 99. Anima drops from defeated enemies and pays for entries on Metallia's Bucket List, which unlock abilities, open new areas and bring Karma down.
All three are at max in this save, along with HP. You can reinforce every weapon you like, then cash in Anima on the Bucket List without counting.
Max Karma, And What It Does
Karma rises when the Hundred Knight raids villages. High Karma makes townsfolk attack on sight and pushes shop prices up. It also opens doors: in the bad ending's extra chapters, Nezaria only shows up once your Karma passes 300. The save sets Karma at its maximum. When you want it lower, spend some of that max Anima on the Bucket List entries that reduce it.
What Revival Adds To The Swamp
The PS4 version adds more than sharper graphics. The Tower of Illusion is a procedural dungeon of 100 floors with a basement below, and its loot scales with the weapons you bring. Concentrated Mana lets you summon Metallia and play as her in short bursts. Alchemy upgrades weapons with catalysts found in the Tower. Proficiencies count in every fight, since facets set how well the Hundred Knight handles each weapon type.
Three Endings And A Hundred Floors
Trophy guides disagree on time: estimates run from about 50 hours to over 90. The story itself has three endings. At the start of chapter 11's second part, Mani asks whether you will save Metallia. Agree and you are on the true ending path. Refuse three times for the normal ending. Defeat all three Dark Witches before the final battle with Belda, and the game rolls on into more chapters before the bad ending, which is one of the three golds.
Badass Hundred Knight, another gold, wants that bad ending without ever switching to Casual Mode. Challenge Accepted asks you to beat Metallia herself in the opening, from your clear data. The Tower then asks for floor B100, and the third gold wants B100 again on max difficulty. Like a Boss wants every facet at level 99, and Maximizer wants Alchemy on Legendary equipment ten times.
