Borderlands 3 throws loot at you from the first Skag, but the Vault Hunter behind the gun grows slowly. The level cap went up to 72 through free updates, and levels pay out skill points one at a time. Guardian Rank, the bonus system that buffs every character on your profile, only opens after the main story. Most Eridium has to be smashed out of purple crystals, and the ability to do it only comes at the first Vault.

Skill Trees Past The Normal Limit
A level 72 Vault Hunter normally has 70 skill points, and the three base skill trees cost about 130 to fill. That is why a normal build reaches two capstones at most. The save has every skill maxed and skill points at max, so that trade-off is gone. The Designer's Cut DLC adds a fourth tree to each character.
Guardian Rank Without The Story First
Guardian Rank is the progression that keeps going after the level cap. Each rank earns a Guardian Token, and each token buys a small boost from one of three trees. Enforcer covers gun and critical damage, Survivor covers health and shields, and Hunter covers reload speed, cooldowns and Luck. Spend enough in a tree and it pays out rewards such as skins and extra skills. The save opens the menu with max tokens and max boosts already in place.
Money, Eridium And Every Slot Open
Money goes into the vending machines and Moxxi's slot machines on Sanctuary III. Eridium is the second currency: Crazy Earl in the cargo hold sells cosmetics for it, and it feeds the Eridium slot machines. With both maxed and ammo full for every weapon type, you shop without counting. Normally the last gear slot only opens at the end of Cold as the Grave, the mission at the second Vault. Here every slot is open from the start, so a full loadout of guns, shield, grenade, class mod and artifact works straight away.
What The Borderlands 3 Platinum Needs
Guides score the Borderlands 3 platinum a 4 out of 10: one playthrough of 45-70 hours, and nothing missable. The gold that slows people down is Getting A Little On The Side, every side mission in the game, held by about 2% of players. Master Of All You Survey wants every named location on Pandora, Promethea, Eden-6 and Nekrotafeyo, and those location trophies have a history of bugging after patches. You also need all 30 Eridian Slabs, all three Circles of Slaughter, every Proving Ground, Hammerlock's Legendary Hunts and Zer0's Targets of Opportunity.
A few odd ones round it out. Good Against Remotes Is One Thing wants a perfect Firing Range run, 15 targets in 20 seconds. Rewards Card wants a Loyalty Package from every weapon manufacturer, and My Name Is Earl wants 20 cosmetics bought from Crazy Earl. Gun Pals and Stay Golden need you signed in to PSN. Winning a duel and reviving another player need a second player, in split-screen or online.
