How to Unlock Pyroclast Verge in MW4
The second Pyroclast stage is called Pyroclast Terminus in the official MW4 launch progression overview. If you have seen it called Verge, look for Terminus in the weapon's reward progression.
- Level your chosen weapon to its maximum level using Weapon XP.
- Enter that weapon's optional Weapon Prestige path and obtain the opening Pyroclast variant.
- Build up the weapon's levels again after the first Prestige reset.
- Reach the second Pyroclast reward, identified officially as Terminus.
Weapon Prestige affects the individual weapon. It is not unlocked through the player-level Prestige menu or by finishing a separate mode-specific mastery ladder.
Pyroclast Verge Requirement
The official second Pyroclast variant is Pyroclast Terminus. It is awarded at the end of the first Weapon Prestige leveling phase, after the opening Pyroclast camo. You may also see this second stage referred to as Pyroclast Verge.
Entering Weapon Prestige initially relocks ordinary attachments, with Apex and Weapon Blueprint Attachments exempt. Previously unlocked camos and other customization remain available, so Pyroclast stays yours while working toward Terminus.
Weapon Prestige belongs to the weapon being leveled, not to your Classic or Regular player Prestige choice.

How Long From Pyroclast to Verge?
Pyroclast Terminus comes after releveling the same weapon through its first Weapon Prestige phase. This is Weapon XP progress, not a number of Classic player Prestiges.
Because the initial reset relocks ordinary attachments, your Gunsmith loadout may differ from the one you used before Prestiging. Weapon XP earnings and the attachments you regain affect how quickly you reach the end of that phase.
Terminus is the second appearance in the four-part Pyroclast sequence. Scatter and Cascade belong to the later Weapon Prestige Master stage.
Which Prestige Path Do You Need?
Weapon Prestige is the required path, not the Classic or Regular player Prestige choice. The Pyroclast guide explains the reset rules and the differences between player and weapon progression.
After the second variant, the same weapon continues toward Weapon Prestige Master, where further leveling produces Pyroclast Scatter and then Pyroclast Cascade. The official overview says that transition does not cause another weapon-level or attachment reset. Compare the full set at the MW4 mastery-camo hub.
